I have been surfing the web for YEARS looking for the Vertical slotted Kitchamajig from Ekco in Copper Alloy. I have the Ekco slotted hole pasta strainer from the 60s which i found on Etsy for about 45 dollars, however to have the pair of copper alloy skimmers from Ekco would be the dream.
Oh man, I did not know that Ekco made a copper alloy product - that must be the Holy Grail! I only have two stainless steel Ekco slotted skimmers. One was a one off at a garage sale, it is so useful for frying, boiling, mixing, straining, so many applications! Wal-Mart does make a new version of it. Search eBay and Etsy etc regularly and maybe you can find more. Estate sales?
@michaelwilsonbarber Thanks for the advice hermano! And yes, I do hace a few.of those Kraft select utensils, however I NEED that vintage one to complete the pair. I'll always prefer cooking and eating with vintage cutlery and fine china. There's something special about cooking and imagining how many other dishes have been cooked by all the previous families who owned it. "History does not belong to us, we belong to it" Best Regards Mike!
