I was told by people that have been going to the car corral for decades that there are huge amounts of open spots where there was once a complete filled field. They mentioned that less and less people are coming because they are being forced to pay to be under the more expensive tented areas. I'm not sure if that's true but if you watch the entire video, you do see plenty of open spaces all over that field. Great video.
Yes it used to be much larger. The reason for this is that they run a large auction across the street so a lot of vehicles go there to be Sold so they don't come into the car corral. Our next video in a few days is of the auction..
@@DolloffAntiques That's really a shame. The Car Corral was a place that ordinary people like me could go to get a nice car for a fair price. Auctions pit buyers against each other just to raise the price of a vehicle. I saw some nice cars in this video that were affordable and very nice.
The car hobby as turned into rich people's club. How many average working people can afford 25k + for anything. This why they build their cars piece by piece and takes many years.
@stephenneil9345 everything in life has gone up a bunch in the last few years. Just about any vehicle you can think of would cost more than 25k to restore if it's a project and that's assuming you got the project for free.. That's when 25k for one already done make more sense.
@@stephenneil9345 I agree with you 100%. It's a rich man's club now. The average guy can't afford to pay to have much work done to a project car. It makes me really sad because even those cars that used to be soo unloved are being targeted for excessive price gouging. Just check the price on Pinto parts these days.

Go every year to all the shows. Prices are inflated early and if not sold, drop quickly by Saturday. Same goes for parts. Vendors cut their own throat Sunday morning to avoid packing stuff up and it’s free to get in but pretty empty.
@Hefty54 I don't remember as that was about 10 swap meets ago for us but sometimes there is music around so we can't record that and sometimes it's a audio glitch.. Anyways we got 95 percent of them but can't get them all. Thanks for watching
That 1939 GMC Panel from Lauras Market in Jewett City. I've Personally known this vehicle since about 1960. That is the original paint on it, I do not know if it still has the original engine which was still in it when it was sold about 10-15 years ago.
I have a '58 GMC Fleetside pickup. The front end & the frame got wrecked as a lady, who was in a bigger hurry than me, ran a red & destroyed it. The bed is still fine. The motor (350 Chevy) & tranny are fine. Lots of emblems & glass is all good. Wide white walls & Artillery rims....
@@DolloffAntiques I'm just outside of Reno NV. I would have to do a little more research to come up with a price. Maybe talk to my brothers, who own Miller's Chop Shop in Sparks, first. Then I'll get back at you with a price.
Thats the problem in investing so much money into an old vehicle and then having hard time selling it. So much for the suposed love for your project. I guess people enjoy the journey in restoring them .but its hard to pick just one vehicle over many choices your bound to wear off the enchantment and want somthing else and i am a car enthusiastic. But a can only offord just seing those nice vehicles.
There were a lot of great prices. Especially on some of the pre war and even some nice modified muscle cars. Now that fastback mustang for $135k was outta his mind. I KNOW WHAT I GOT type of guy who counted every penny spent and wants it back. Won't happen. Was a $60k @ best.
What mintue mark was it at? We show thousands of prices on our videos but we can't get them all unfortunately or these videos would take days instead of hours..
Hungry can't build them for a price that you can buy them for. The prices are high compared to what we've been used to. Where is my dad said we don't have to buy. Enough of us don't buy the price will come down. Down to where they used to be? No. But in any case there's some beautiful vehicles in this video video.
@redwinstead7873 I do videos at these car corrals to show what people are currently asking so it gives a idea of the current market. The days of buying a thousand dollar vehicle and driving it home are long gone.
@@DolloffAntiques I didn't pick-up you sold there. It's really wild how there are great deals and then totally nuts. I don't think these guys really want to sell some of these cars.
@brianmatthews9697 yes we sell here in the fall.. You are right on with prices.. I find most swap meets and Car Corral to be that way.. You just have to look over the whole place as lots are over priced but there are always deals here and there..
That’s nothing like it used to be my farther in-law an i used to go there every year he’s gone now imshore a lot of the people his age are to 30 years ago

You need to be fairly quick or this video would be like 3 days long to go over that many vehicles.. As far as the prices and phone numbers all you need to do is pause on them as I can't hang there on several hundred vehicles long enough for someone to write it down so that's what people do is pause on them.
