I was relieved and happy to find a term that fitted me "asexual" because it let me know I wasn't the only person dealing with this. But it makes me nervous for the future because I don't know how to talk about it or how it will impact my relationships.
+A Lasting Dream yeah I completely understand. I actually did a video of how I feel like it's going to impact on my future. If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to drop me a message!!
+Cookee Monsterr Thanks I'll go check out that video. I'm glad I found your channel because I don't have anyone I can talk to about this because a lot of people don't know what asexuality is and I think they won't think it's a real thing.
+A Lasting Dream thank you, I believe it's the second video I ever did. Aww you shouldn't have to feel alone, as I say feel free to speak to me if you're down because of it and I will do my best to help!!
I knew early on that I wasn't interested in boys or girls are a young age. Kids would begin talking about how hot other people were and although I could tell a good looking face from a crowd, I didn't understand the fixation everyone else seemed to have on physical attraction. I stayed out of relationships for most of my teenage life (in the past 19 years, I've only been in one). I began identifying as sexually disinterested before I found out about asexuality from one of my father's friends whose known me since I was born. He even explained that he identified with it too. I looked more up on the Internet and found AVEN and met with other Asexuals, so in the end I suppose it's worked out well. Despite all the years people called me a repressed homosexual :p
I just can't be bothered with people that I don't ever talk about my asexuality if it comes up now it's a waste of my lungs explaining myself as most people in this sex oriented world just don't get it, I'm very happy to be different from others and wouldn't want to change given any option too.
+Cookee Monsterr I really think that's the key to being happy, being yourself and doing the things you love to do and not have any care in other people's opinions on it especially those people you don't know, changing and living your life to please and gain the thumbs up from others is not a life worth living in my opinion.
I found out about asexuality when i was searching for coming out stories on TH-cam. I found your channel and the rest goes on. Us homosexuals also get the "how do you know if you haven't tried yet" question. Also, a lot of people are disgusted because we are attracted to the "wrong" gender. I hope that other people will be aware about asexuality through your videos and that they will be less disrespectful.
+Abby H I can always tell when someone's flirting with me. I can tell when someone looks across the room and wants to flirt with me....I can also almost "feel" the moment that a guy I know goes from seeing me as someone to talk to seeing me as someone to #%. However, I've found in the ace community that people seem either hyper-sensitive to flirting or have a hard time determining if it's flirting.
I'm not sure.. Either I can't tell at all or no one's ever flirted with me... Honestly I don't know which is more likely😂 But it's totally normal to not be able to tell when someone is flirting with you. Especially for someone who is asexual.(:
The whole "how do you know you don't like sex" can be countered with this: "How do you know you don't like a cactus shoved up your backside?" (or something to that effect). You don't even have to say it in an argumentative way, since it gets them to think of the answer, and the majority of people, if not everyone, hasn't had a cactus shoved up their backside.
+5mart2n haha I saw a post saying about that on Facebook. I think I mentioned it in a previous video. You're completely right though. Thanks for you support!!
Oh I found out the same way as you. I just googled it over and over again "I don't want sex" and all that stuff....but since I was 14 at that time the answer was always "You're a late bloomer". I just ignored it until my boyfriend broke up with me when I was 17 and had still no interest in those things. When I asked in a forum people called me a troll :/
You make me feel not alone .. If I've had a bad day I watch a bunch of you're videos ..Thank you .
+Chloe No reason to thank me, your enjoyment makes it all worth it!!

+Phil Of Aces As long as you're happy with yourself, who cares what others think. Good on you!!

+Nicholas Nguyen yeah it sucks. I understand, I think it unfortunately applies to all minority sexualities :( hope you're doing well!!
Does anyone ever have trouble telling when people were flirting with you? or is this just me?

The idea of wet dreams makes me extremely glad I'm a girl... (although we get the fun of having periods so I guess it evens out)
+thejuzey I think I'd rather have wet dreams rather than periods, so am pretty glad I'm a guy :)
***** Yeah, you're probably right, periods are torture.

+Gatsber In the cupboard to the right of my head ;)
