I did some endurance riding when I was younger and really enjoyed the ride. I am 70 now and I think a 4-hour trail ride is just fine enough.
I think he’s just the coolest horseman I’ve ever heard or seen…
I'm from Argentina but never heard of this derby until now, great video! Thank you for sharing this!
What an adventure! Wow!! Go get them Warwick!
Have the best adventure Warwick- may your ride be a smooth as possible and your spiritual journey illuminating.
I was reassured to hear that even Warwick gets sore knees and toes. This was such a cool video. Have a fabulous time!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us all, Warwick. I think you have some idea of what it's done for some of us, and our horses in turn, but I doubt it's possible to know how many people you've inspired to start their own healing journey through your videos, podcasts, and more; and you've brought together a wonderful community of like minded people. I for one am grateful 🙏 By the way, the universe sent me you around the same time it sent me acid, coincidence? 🤔😂
How exciting !! Can’t wait to see the story unfold. Good luck ! 🤠
It will be hard, but when you feel down just know you live this experience to enjoy life❤
Exciting and nerve racking all in one! I hpoe you have a great ride.
Something like that would be a bucket list item and you are going to check it off 🎉
All the best and looking forward to hearing about it on your return
Thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration and a great teacher. Best of luck,
Sounds a bit like Orienteering on Horseback. Cool. I see you visited Smith Rocks too. Maybe not as dramatic as Patagonia, but it's a lovely piece of home for many of us here in Oregon.
Smith Rocks is gorgeous
Godspeed, Warwick!
It's always the last horses that get attacked by the ground bees after the lead horses kick them up. It's interesting to see that a horseman who knows so much still has things to learn.
Good luck on this new adventure, everyone that is going😊🎉
Here’s to finding the edges! Give the Gaucho hell WSC🙌🩵🩵🩵!
Looking forward to meeting you and riding along with everyone 😊
Prayers for your safe return. Namaste
Best wishes on your adventure! 💜
Love this episode! (Love the new TV format!) Sending you, Kansas, and all the very best for the adventure, the journey and the race!
You'll do great! Good luck, have fun! You're an inspiration to do more with our lives!
Warwick - good luck on your incredible adventure. Please say Hello to Kansas Carradine from me (Rebekah Witter) as I wrote the book on Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls where Kansas basically grew up and learned her trick-riding and trick-roping skills. Be sure to ask her about her epic (bloody) ride in Australia! You'll be impressed at the spunk she had as a teen! Tommy Maier's Riata Ranch turned wonderful girls into fabulous women. You might want to consider having the current head of Riata Ranch, Jennifer Welch Nicholson on your podcast. She was just inducted into the Cowboy/Rodeo Hall of Fame. Talk to Kansas about Riata Ranch and Jennifer - I know you'll be impressed with the program! Happy, Healthy Trails to you always!
Amazing !! Loved this. You Are probably one of the Coolest people Ever !! Best of Luck in the Derby !!:
That's amazing and so motivating! Keep on Trucken'!
I can't wait to hear all about your journey. Best of luck and safe travels
Good luck!!!
So bad ass!!!🙌🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Godspeed Sir…Godspeed 😊
safe riding
Idk which would be harder this or mongol. The mongol you ride I think 50-100 miles per day until each camp so you don't have to carry camping gear. You switch horses at each camp...but some of those tough horses are 1/2 broke lol.
This one is fewer horse changes and they're well trained. However, you have to carry all your gear for you and horse and camp out. No marked route either.
IMO it's pretty cool that the two races have different challenges to overcome.
Warning: don’t try this unless you’re independently wealthy.
I wonder how expensive it is to join the race...
hey Warwick, have you heard of the carnivore lifestyle? it is giving ( especially athletes ) many people their optimal performance back even at "old" ages. who knows, it might give you the edge that you can use to complete the race.
