The other day I read an article in the West Australian about how a mining tax would be terrible for the economy.
    And who did they interview?
    Gina Rhinehart. Nobody else.

What did Paul Keating's mentor Jack Lang say to him? Always back self-interest. It's always the best horse in the race. Once you identify what someone's self-interest is, you can predict what they're going to say and what they're going to do.

That's why I've never understood the shortage of toilet paper on supermarket shelves when a Covid outbreak's announced. The West Australian's cheaper and more available. It's not as absorbent either for reading and or cleaning but does the job as toilet paper.

Any more ''gimmicky'' than the ''Recession we had to have''?
Outside of the Wages Accord, Compulsory Superannuation is the the biggest rort ever foisted upon the Working Class. But then one thinks of the Deregulation of the Banking and Finance sector and the offloading of the CBA and the options grow.

The West Australian newspaper has further declined in 2019. Very thin paper with very little news content. With their tie up with Murdoch's Sunday Times, the West Australian has become a newscorp wanabe. Right wing opinion writers straight from the Murdoch stable, no balancing left opinions and selective news reporting for the little news they report. It really is a crappy paper. Thank god for the internet.

Talk about dismal when the front page and half the second (or inside 'front page'), are Harvey Norman marketing material. Only worth lining my bird cages with now!
