Please and I stress please go with someone who knows how to handle pike, it can be very dangerous for you and the fish without knowing what to do properly around them
@@vsnature7146 I'm guilty of self learning and it's terrifying at first and I even fucked up and my hand slid inside the Gill razors luckily pulled them out without damaging the fish, never happened again but wish I had someone to show me it could have ended up in the hospital and a dead fish
Well done both on your first Grays, can't beat a bit of trotting with frost on the ground, get yourself on the lower Dove a lot cheaper and nearer too.
Great entertainment as always lad's, congratulations on your first grayling. Fun facts, grayling are a member of the salmonoid family having the adinoid fin,the male fish have a more pronounced longer dorsal fin. Anyways always a pleasure to follow you lads out to the bank. Regards boys.
Looks like a cracking stretch of water! Nice work on your first Greyling. I've targeted them on the river Tay in Perthshire a few times myself in the depths of winter. It's bitterly cold but well worth it when you dig a few out, my P.B is a little over 2lbs my friend has had them well over 3lbs, fantastic scrap on a float rod in a fast current! Look forward to the next vid guys. Tight lines 👍🏼
Straight over from Insta to watch and you have done it again , absolutely quality video , only thing I can add is WolfMan !!! Lads it was “Jet” all the way 😉
They supposedly smell like the herb thyme, although I didn't really agree. They do smell a bit odd. In fact, the scientific name of the European graylig is Thymallus thymallus is due to their thyme smell. Facts. :-)
Guys yet again lovely video nice to see you catching grayling on river 😀 wishing you both all the best for Christmas 🎄 amazing friends pleasure to watch 💯🐬🦈🐠
Brilliant video 👍lovely fish and fishing skills 👍grayling are supposed to be one of the hardest fish to catch because there mouths are hard so the hooks don’t set easy. You two make it look easy massive respect to you both love your channel and the way you keep it fun 😁 whilst getting the fish on the bank. keep it up
It's fun watching you guys do this. :-) It's a good "gateway" technique/drug for proper fly fishing. With fly fishing you do something very similar but instead of a maggot you'll use a fly (nymph) with a fly rod and a long leader (like a French leader). You can even use a float (indicator) or not. Adding some fly fishing gear to your fishing shed might be something to consider? Oh, and a pike on a flyrod is insane. Cheers
That's the next step! After their first taste, I don't think it will be that hard to turn these Brummie boys to fly fishermen, innit? :-) Love your vids, BTW.
Team Snagged bro for the win! Great video again lads and what a day you had. Very pretty fish the grayling. If only all banksides had a fishing hut eh.
Tom is either smoking a packet of backy a day, or his just had his hand in a big dirty packet of cheesey wotsits 😆Or is it the secret stink juice on them maggots. Either way cracking vid lads even better fish. Crack me up everytime. Keep it up lads. 👍🏻 🎣
Awesome video guys! The editing, the music, everything. Really great job! Beautiful river too! Awesome seeing you guys catch your first grayling. No grayling in the US anywhere near me, but I’d love to catch one one day. Cool looking fish. Id love to see you guys give fly fishing a try one day. (BTW, I love Sean’s hat! I have to ask where you got it? I’d love to order one too.) Thanks again guys for the epic video!!
Great video. I remember once on holiday crowing that I'd caught a grayling on a river close to the coast only to be told later that it was a mullet😁. Despite taking up fly fishing since, I still haven't caught one. Seriously though, if you like the lure of anglers huts and luxuries like toilets etc, you should give fly fishing a go.
If you want an "all you need to know about fly fishing" lesson in a couple of hours, Kingfisher Trout Lake in Bromyard would be worth a go. I think it's £40 including hire of all the gear.
Wow good to see proper lads fishing on posh mans land lol After your meet with DB I’m surprised you didn’t meet with Andy and Leva which would be awesome video said before between you guys Andy Leva DB, Paul aka river pikers and not forgetting Ginger some of the best UK TH-camrs fact awesome
Your right about spots for grayling, you see some pools and think yes this looks perfect but it's totally empty, they have their regular pools and don't seem to move around much, totally different to trout. Although trout do have their own territory they are just more consistent throughout the pools.👍
also my mum took me every year to watch gladiators live i even had fight with wolf at half time battered daint i got little medal and chewing gum lmao haha good memories
You two are a tonic, i have just spent the last 19.55 with a big smile on my face.
Thanks SB.
Ha brilliant thanks for watching!
Yep they make me smile and laugh every episode 😂👍
Love your vids lads. I’m a carp angler but I’m gonna give predator fishing a go cause of you guys. Cheers for the inspiration. Keep up the bangers
Good luck mate! Keep casting!
You’ll never go back to the mud pigs after your first big river pike 👏🏻
