I just want to start by saying if I missed anything or flubbed anything up. I’m sorry. This channel is not a tech review channel, I just wanted to see if I could make a tech review style video.
I have a standard pair of wayfarer's in G15 green. It's not immediately obvious that are green, they just look dark. I personally prefer the green lenses to gray because they don't make everything as look as dark as the grey ones do. They have a softer tone and provide good color contrast. It's definitely better in low light conditions like a partially cloudy day.
These seem great for someone that wears glasses all day every day. Listen to music on the fly, hear messages without getting your phone out and all the other cool stuff. Plus the same price as most other regular frames? Heck yeah
10:24 There is no expectation of privacy when in a public setting..... it's in these times we live in you can record anyone you want in a public setting..... exceptions are bathroom, dressing rooms, locker rooms, PII information, and certain state and federal buildings. I think these are great when driving especially if you get pulled over by law enforcement you can record the encounter... Also, if there's an argument and it escalates into something worse like using self defense, you'll have video proof of the encounter. His side of the story, your side of the story, and the video evidence side of it.
I think it’s important to consider how much phones in 2023 have improved since phones im 2013… so thinking about what smart glasses will look like in 2033 compared to today….
Could you contact a pair of AirPods or Beats Fit Pro earbuds with these for audio? The video was good and seemed like an honest review for the everyday consumer. Thanks. 👍
Yes you could just use your ear buds for audio and then just wear the glasses for video. Many thanks for the kind words on the review. This isn’t usually the type of content I post so I’m happy someone got something out of it
Many thanks!! Yeah for me I really dig the video aspect of them but other than that I would wait a couple of years for some sepia smart glasses tech to come out
You are right I think. After reading this it does look like it’s one lens. My channel isn’t really a tech review channel (probably for good reason) but I wanted to see what it was like to make a review video. I’ve seen creators do positive reviews on these with hardly any complaints on how they work so mostly I tried to highlight those points most. Such as the speakers, mic, camera quality, and most of all the AI. The AI is pretty bad in these. But most videos I’ve seen do nothing but praise them, though they are pretty righteous, they aren’t perfect. Thank you for pointing that out. I most likely won’t be creating any more review videos, but I appreciate you watching this one. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Many thanks! I have a couple but for this video there’s a synco d2 shotgun mic hanging above my head out of frame. In my other videos, I use rode pod mics.
Its not a markup its conversion. $299 USD is about $450AUD. $489 is cost of Polarized pair. The transitional ones like hes reviewing are actually $529AUD@@LostAuxMedia @troylucass
I hear people gripping about the recording being to subtle. I don’t understand why… That phone/laptop you’re watching this video on is probably recording you now. There’s no such thing as “Private” in today’s day and age.
Try pushing that in a US school, courtroom, library or federal building. And that's just in the US. Japan has a very different opinion. If Meta can't sell these things world-wide, then they have a serious problem. My personal take is that people who don't believe in privacy are people with no sense of personal space. Oh, and my home computer has no built-in camera. My work laptop has a piece of tape across the camera. Just my personal preference. The percentage of people who think like me and the percentage who think like you - no idea.
@@onenote6619 All I know is, technology is going to advance no matter who has a problem or don’t want to adapt. I remember when I was a child and pagers came out people were throwing a fit about pagers and being tracked look at us now. We now have computers in our hands.
More than likely not, I’m not actually a tech review channel so I didn’t get that in depth with them sorry. I more did the video to broaden my experience making videos and to see if I could.

It's not 2 cameras it's one
You don't NEED DATA to import- its just using their fancy "app only" wifi direct

Very nice! Unfortunately I had to order these online so I didn’t even get so see what the g15 looked like 😭😭😭
One camera. The other side is LED camera indicator.

That is a pretty nice point to them. Multiple people I’ve spoken to with glasses all have said the same

You can also say: ' Hey Meta, start recording'. Without touching the button.
I think they are really interesting and thought out. They aren't perfect, but I can see smart-glasses outsell Phones one day.
This could very well happen. I mean they will only get better right? Who knows lol maybe some ready player one type stuff in the near future 🤷🏻♂️
I doubt that- phones are just to apart of our lives.
Actually they aren't even phone so much as they are pocket PCS
@@Matanumi yeah, with the power that they got... if you think about it, it's really impressive what Phones are able to do compared to their size

@@mattjereza6541 oh yeah they’ll probably be insane
I’ve had them about a week. They’re legit. I used my eye insurance for them. Make sure you do that
Where you Ray-Ban directly ? I used LensCrafters hoping for a good experience.

It’s a shame you don’t want the green sunglasses they’re the Air Force color they supposed to really brighten up and enhance the landscape
Oh damn I never knew that! I’ll have to keep that into consideration for my next pair of shades. Thanks 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Can they see what you see and tell you whst to do in something like settign up a network?
No unfortunately not. They’re pretty much just glasses with headphones and a camera in them and that’s it.
There’s definitely transitions available. Currently sold out seemingly everywhere though.
There is a lot of room up, but the biggest holdback for me is the whole META part. I don't like META. Nice video.
Many thanks!! Yeah for me I really dig the video aspect of them but other than that I would wait a couple of years for some sepia smart glasses tech to come out
I love tech and am ready to update my prescription glasses...unfortunately i have a big head and they don't fit me😢😢😢
Oh damn. You funny you mention that because mine are awful tight
i have a big head, i ordered mine from ray ban directly and got the xxl frame. so they may work for you. its 141mm from hinge to hinge. (5.55 inches)
@@sascha1167 many thanks I’ll check them out 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Theyre slightly yellow bx they block blue light
Which is nice. I do love that but it’s a bummer I have to take them off to edit videos 😭😭😭 first world problem for sure but I still like them ok
I thought the right one was an indicator and the left one was the camera 🤷♂

Nice video! What size are you wearing in this video?
Many thanks I’m glad you liked it. The frames I’m wearing in this video are the standard 50mm ones
What mic are you filming with? Soudns grerat

Did any of the issues that killed Google Glass get fixed by a tech refresh and designer frames? No?
I’m not too familiar with the Google glass. Unfortunately I wouldn’t know.
So the issues that killed Google Glass. Legal / privacy/ creepy. Did pretty designer frames fix any of those?
I’m actually not sure. I’ve never looked into the Google glasses. I’ll have to check that out
So, it's a go for me?
It might be. If you want a quick pov solution, it might be the way to go.
yeah $299 for you guys in aus i had to pay $489.00
Holy hell. Why the markup. Import?

I only got them with my prescription
That’s a good buy seeing as how frames can cost about the same or more. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

So did Meta solve any of the social issues that sunk Google Glass? Privacy, Legal, Social? I don't see it. Glasshole v2.
