    When doing back workouts, a lot of people neglect the small muscles in the back. There are many important small muscles around your shoulder blades that help to create your posture and stabilize the muscles in the front. By doing this simple 5-minute back workout at home, you can start to strengthen your back muscles.
    This video will teach you how to do these Y-T-W exercises to strengthen your back muscles and improve your posture.
    You can do this circuit workout as a warm-up to your exercise or as a finisher. This back workout with no equipment is all about quality over quantity. You want to focus on creating tension and honing in on your smaller back muscles.
    YTW Circuit Workout:
    Y-Position → 5-10 reps
    T-Position → 5-10 reps
    W-Position → 5-10 reps

    Will this help my neck rotation muscles which have become sore when rotating

      Hey Joseph, thanks for writing in and great question. This can certainly help strengthen and loosen your neck muscles. Now the first time or two you might find the opposite effect if it causes a bit of soreness but after performing these movements for awhile, you will build strength and mobility in that area.

    The best way to improve our posture is to focus on exercises that strengthen our core -- the abdominal and low back muscles that connect to our spine and pelvis. That's really a perfect workout for our Back and Shoulders muscles. I learned a lot new things and definitely recommend checking it out. Thanks again.

    Back is one of the harder ones to work out at home without like drilling holes into doors to put up pullup bars etc. So definitely going to try this as convenient back exercises at home at really helpful!

      Hey John, thanks for writing in and great question! To do this movement, you will naturally have to flex your core, which includes both your abdominal muscles and lower-back. They go hand-in-hand so you can get a good mid-section workout by doing so. Thanks for watching!

    I may need to work on my posture to look bit normal. Though I'm bit lazy on working out on this matter but this can be done in short peirod of time. Can it also help in weight loss mate ?

      Hey Rono, thanks for writing in and great question. ANY exercise can help in shedding some pounds though if looking to get the most bang for your buck, doing larger, compound movements (where you use multiple joints and therefore multiple muscle groups) will burn a lot more. These are movements such as presses, squats, deadlifts, etc. Check out some of our tutorials on our TH-cam channel to find a variety of movements you can do, including FREE workouts below.
