    Enjoy in this tutorial. It is from my heart. One of my Grandma favourite flowers. I am using Fimo polymer clay so I put more Liquid Clay, but if you are using another brand of clay that it is more soft you don't need to add that much or you don't need to add at all. ❤️

      Hello, what brand/type liquid clay do you use please?

    • @StoriesMadeByHands
      @StoriesMadeByHands  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rachaelmayhew7078 It is Fimo Liquid Clay, but you can use any brand of Liquid Clay for this project- it will work just fine. 🤗❤️

      If you don't have liquid clay, is it possible to add baby or olive oil?

    Polymer clay is paint and canvas, form and structure all in one medium. Amazing, amazing stuff. So lucky to be alive when this medium is readily available, and so many talented people are making so many fantastic designs. 👏👏👏

    Simple but delicately stunning. I can see an adaption of this design in the form of a pendant or as a brooch design, with a smaller replica of the earrings.

    You inspired me to try this out! Thank you for putting so much love into this tutorial. I also love that you only have to do the design once, cut it in half and you have a pair of earrings! Perfect project for someone who is worried about making each earring identical to the other. This is a no stress, easy way of making clay earrings! Thanks so much!

    Loooove the tutorial - great job!!! I’ve read from several of the best polymer clay artists (blue bottle tree, pct tutor, etc.) that the first bake is critical, and that it should be 30-60 minutes (depending on thickness), but no less than 30 minutes to build strength into the piece.

    • @StoriesMadeByHands
      @StoriesMadeByHands  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you. ❤️ I think you misunderstood, please don't get me wrong. I also read articles, especially from Blue Bottle Tree - she is my favourite Lady and I learned from her a lot, especially in the beginning when I was starting to work with polymer clay. ❤️ But for this project I bake first time just 10 minutes so I can add ear studs on back, I also wrote to be careful because it is still fragile- but after you need to bake at least 40 minutes more. I would not bake longer because I need to think also about white color. Here is one test about baking 10 minutes (short bake) and then re-bake the same piece for 60 minutes (nothing happened, it didn't brake): th-cam.com/video/ixdWjEyqbik/w-d-xo.html
      And it never happened to me that my pieces break and I am doing with clay near 8 years. I hope I helped you a little. ❤️

    Do you chill your clay, like in the refrigerator or freezer, before you begin creating your designs? My needle/tool tends to pull the clay, rather than just make neat lines, when I try to make lines for leaves and such.

    • @StoriesMadeByHands
      @StoriesMadeByHands  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just for flowers you should mix Polymer Clay with liquid one, but for leaves you should use regular clay. I don't put in fridge clay, but you can try maybe it will help. ❤️
