Hi guys!! I'm from Massachusetts 20 mins South of Boston, I am SOOOOO impressed w/you guys! I own a 71' westy (no top - previous owner made a sunroof out of the opening) put a roof rack on him & "larry the bus" looks pretty rad! He also needs some work, panels weren't done right dog legs are starting to look..... well you know! I have been at my husband for 3 yrs & he keeps saying next winter! Well after watching your wife get after it, I'm going to write up a list, and just DO IT! Thkx so much for coming back to vdub life! I enjoy your videos and you're really helping alot of us, like me that have been thinking we can't do it!
Glad that you're creating new content! This video reminds me of when you stripped "Oliver", the '76 Westy. You've come full circle, homie. You got this!
Good morning buddy 😊lovin your videos as you always put som humour into the content 🤣 Mallory is so cute 🥰 you’re one lucky 🍀 man having such a good helper 👍🏻🏴
I sure hope you do a video on fixing the cracks in the plastic on the dash on my 71 bus I have this problem and have no idea how to fix it so it looks new again with texture like OE. great video I'm looking forward to the next one !:)
Learn how to sharpen bits, well worth it. Also drill through the weld then plug weld the resulting hole. Put a piece of flatened coper pipe behindcthe whole to close it. Also never do continuous welds, even with .023 a continuous weld creates too much heat. Quenching a weld causes shrinking. Best approach it weld a spot. Move over an inch and weld another spot. Continue to end of panel then start over. Repeat till done.
Keep at it. It’ll be worth it when you’re driving around in a fully restored bus.
Stoked you're making videos again!wanna see that bus come together!
