I've had mine for a couple of months now. It's very enjoyable. A bit heavy for the size. Using the balanced out with my custom hifiman he-r10d, and the power is enough for those, but not single ended. My hifiman he6se v2 hower it couldn't quite power. I'm listening to madonna as I type on it😊
Hi. Are you impressed with the sound? How does it compare to flac files or streamed music? What's the battery life like. That is how many cds can you play before recharging, and how long does it take to charge? Thanks in advance
Thanks for the heads up. This is an absolute buy. This is exactly what I was hoping for and more. Was going to buy the Arya organic but will now buy the ananda nano and this.
For Shanling EC3 and ET3, gapless playback is planned in a firmware or software update, according to sales information NT Global Distribution GmbH. I don't know whether this also applies to the other players.
Thank you very much for your great review. I ordered the Shanling immediately. I like how you talk about the pleasure of listening to cd’s. Greetings from Holland. 👍🏻👍🏻🇳🇱🇳🇱😀😀👋🏻👋🏻. Paul
Dear Sajid, thanks for the last couple of videos! These were much required. For me, this was kind of a reminder of why some of us got into this hobby in the first place. 😊 Being a 90's kid, I could completely relate to your thoughts! I still remember, for me, the transition to CDs from cassettes happened with Greenday's American Idiot almost 20 years back. Bought that for the song "boulevard of broken dreams" but ended up loving some other songs even more! These two videos were pure nostalgia..thanks for taking us on a trip down memory lane. ❤❤❤
I just got this, 1 day late for Christmas but that’s fine. The Shanling sound is indeed very nice, reminds me a lot of the Sony house sound. Amazing features, it does everything for me!! Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories on CD sounds stupiddddd gooddddd
Hey Sajid, thank you for this awesome video. I’ve been enjoying a lot of your reviews lately 😁 I just got a question about the EC Mini. I want to use it on my desk. If I feed it power does it actually still run through the accumulator which would completely destroy its longevity or does the power run through and it can be used as normal desktop devices as DACs and Amps without draining the accumulator? I would want it to last long enough to gift it my grandchildren with my CD collection 😂 Otherwise it will go down as TWS Earbuds after a couple of years. Greetings from Germany and a happy new year tomorrow 🙏
I was about to walk away until I saw the specs Bluetooth in and out, with LDAC I have just put this on my wish list for next year this should work well with my Hifiman Deva Pro Bluetooth headphones great video, did you test the Bluetooth output?
Costs like $500 ($9,576), not $360 Too much import fees. Its the best I have seen but cannot afford for just a CD player. Dont care about Blutooth or streaming, just a basic and compact but well built CD player. Idont know what is QA
Streaming is convenience, Vinyl is ritual, CD is the transition between the two...

@@mrgee918did you buy it at the end?
@@Intolerantmoron Yes. I bought it. Like the sound and powers my hifiman ananda nano well enough via balance cable.

Very good CD player with exceptional features, but unfortunately without gapless playback

Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for this. This is powered by a pair of 18650 batteries. Can they be replaced?
It's pretty difficult to get to the batteries. Which is a bummer.
I'm also curious if the batteries can easily be replaced - thanks for any info
Not so easily has to be taken apart according to Shanling
What about comparing it to Sony CD Walkman before which is much lighter and much smaller?

What’s the name of that STP album? Compilation?

Yes its fantastic
LDAC is a win for me as well. Nice touch.

what low impedance headphone like LCD-X can I use with these or IEM ?
Does this play SACD please?
Why should a CD player be that expensive? I remember getting them for around $100 before they were discontinued as popular media.
This has more functionality remember
@@amplifyaudioreviews you should do soundemo of all of your iems and headphones with recording rig
What does term ”musical” mean?
No one really knows
No need to get a "portable" CD Player like this. DAPs are the way to go bar none.
what if you have a large CD collection ?
Very frustrating, almost 6 minutes of waffle and 5 minutes of basic info. Clickbait review.
lol dirty power
