I heard that your school was somehow considered as 'MIT of China' (Masachussets Institute of Technology); they often called Peking University as 'Harvard of China', instead.
However, you were so amazing getting a chance to this university! It has the best education quality in China! Congrats!! And omg you were also a speaker as TED?! Wow what a wonderful youth you have awww
Nhi Thao MIT, Harvard...i mean my Chinese parents would be happy for either 😂 But yeah you're right, Tsinghua has a well known engineering faculty. They have some really specific and relevant courses like Autonomous Vehicles, AI and Big Data, water filtering etc.

Here I am, 2 years later watching your video after doing my research from the SFU exchange program during the panini as a Vietnamese international student. After researching SFU's exchange program, I found out that Tsinghua University is on the list of universities affiliated with SFU. So I changed my plans from Seoul National University to Tsinghua University. Your channel is very funny and helpful. Bless

The guy admits in front of the camera that he has gotten in through an exchange program between Tsinghua University and his Canadian university, and when he got accepted, his parents could brag to other Chinese that he got into Tsinghua. He has taken the shortcut.
It's about status and money in the end.
Personally, I just hope that the government or the school would put foreigners like him on a separate enrollment category because it's not fair for the native Chinese students who have to take the tests and beat the rest to get into the top universities.

Hi Hafu. Any comparison stats of Top of the class at a "Joe Blow" university VS C+ university grad at a prestige university? I have worked with many international university grads. Academic standing seems to be a better indicator of adaptation and development.

Bro, if you have any nationality but Chinese, your chance of getting into Qinghua will increase millions of times. Top 25% percents of Taiwanese students can get into it, while less than 0.05% of mainland Chinese students can get into.
Man! Please stop bragging yourself! You didn’t get into Tsinghua and Harvard...you were just an exchange student. My undergraduate friends at Tsinghua and Harvard would always distinguish themselves from exchange students and also graduate master students. I am not trying to talk bad about you, but it is what it is. That’s the reality, because these people are extremely arrogant!

Malek Ben Daamer Where are you coming from? I don't think it will be too hard for you. The need for math depends on your major and the courses you choose. So you could try to get in first, then choose courses you like. Their course selection is actually really flexible. I'm currently taking a journalism course but I'm in business.

-Safae- it's honestly pretty cheap. apply for scholarships! you'll get a lot of free money. Tuition for me was around $3500/semester. Living costs will be your biggest expense.

Hey Alicia, so cool that you're considering Tsinghua. It's not mandatory for you to live on campus, but I'd definitely recommend it. It's convenient and probably the cheapest rent you'll find in Beijing.

I saw scary comments online that entering the university is very difficult, to be sincere I almost gave up. Please Hafu can you give me guidelines? Please?
Read about the program you want to get into online, see what is needed for international students, prepare things months in advance, make sure your grades are top notch and your chinese is great. Apply. Fingers crossed.
It’s more like the MIT of China. The other school, Peking U, is the Harvard of China. Nonetheless , they are equally prestigious and hard to get in
