LOVE this idea. I’ve used envelopes as bases for pockets, but this is a new idea (to me, at least) so that’s FABULOUS!! I have a 2 inch stack of saved envelopes and was wondering what i was going to do with them all! I also have a huge stack of those annoying magazine subscription cards from all the magazines I was getting and will use those as the bases for tags and journal cards because they are a great “weight”….very much like a light card stock. Keep the great ideas coming, Joie!

just went and watched the paper painting video. so cool. even dummies like myself ,who have no artistic genes can do this. found the paints here in Australia. love that they are non toxic and water based.

Great, so practical!!! I do not write old-fashioned way (i.e. using paper) and do not keep documents. I do it all digitally. So I was struggling with the ideas how to start this junk journal craft. And now I am motivated. I can just decide to rescue each and every junk envelop turning them into containers for pieces for future collages. In several years the envelopes can be emptied and bound into a gorgeous pocket book (meaningful gift?) for old photos, memorabilia, etc.
I loved this video. I tried making one with you, had to watch the video twice to make sure I was doing it correctly. I think it turned out cute. Going to work on more today. Thank you Joie
