Oh man this makes me miss my neighbors chickens so much. 3 of them would come over daily and my mother and I formed such a special relationship with them. I remember this cluck very distinctly as “chicken angry at other chicken for stealing it’s brooding spot” haha
Hi Barbara. I was outside, heard this, went to the coop to find out what was going on, thought Omg, I've got to get my camera. Went all the to the house, got my camera and still filmed for 5 min! Never have heard anything like it! 😆
Mine have started doing this first thing in the morning (since they started laying). They have a huge space, water, food etc and unfortunately I wont be able to keep them out of curtesy for my neighbours if I cant train them - anyone have advice on how to quiet them down?

My neighbors have one chicken & one rooster & im not sure which one it is, but one is making this noise like its trying to crow loudly but instead sounds gurgle like, almost like it has a cold...lol When they first got it, the bird crowed loud like it should & now all of a sudden it sounds like they did something to "quiet" the bird? Could they do something like that to that poor bird???? They don't speak English & theirs 30some people living under one roof & their always different people every so often...This group of people brought these two birds with them & i really hope they didnt do something inhumane to quiet the birds crowing? Its a rooster & a chicken together in this 2 foot by 2 foot metal chicken wire cage, maybe smaller..any ideas of what they could have done to the birds level of crow??

Haha! That's the Egg Song! They sing it to announce/brag that they have laid an egg. A lot of times the other girls join the choir and sing too.
