It is a bit off topic but I love the color of your outfit. It is the color for prostate cancer. It would be great if you discuss with your oncologist on making your videos available for people just diagnosed, not just those that found you on TH-cam. Your videos are full of useful tips that no one would of thought about.
Thank you for helping all your fellow cancer warriors. For lifting their spirits. Please keep on being you! Prayers and support going your way!

Great video! I love your personality! I am 45 and have been fighting 3 different types of cancer for almost 10 yrs now. In those 10 years, lots has changed with cancer treatment. and I have learned so much. Usually the hard way. So these videos are very important. Here are a few more bits of advice I have learned. First, when you are looking for a wig or head covering, get in contact with American Cancer Society to see if you quality for a free wig or scarf voucher. Plus, there are many organizations that can give you free things like scarfs, head coverings, and washable masks. I second her comment about getting the meds in order. Some meds are very hard to get insurance to cover.. This can take days. So get them ASAP. Also, look into companies that help with house cleaning and childcare. Yes, there is also help with childcare in certain states! And to go along with her comment about water, if you can, or if you are getting really sick, ask to see if you can come in the next day, or week, for IV infusions of fluids/and or nausea meds. For some reason, getting it through the IV seems to help better for some people, than via the mouth. And one more bit of advice, Some chemo's premeds make you very tired. So be sure to book rides and from your treatments. They don't need to stay if they cant, or you don't want them too. Especially if you are going to sleep the entire time. And as with many other cancer needs, you may be able to get free rides through your state, and even via Uber in some areas. Good luck everyone!

Yeah, go to the dentist! Great tip! I got lucky and happened to have a dentist appointment 2 days before I found out I had cancer. Back then I scheduled my next appointment for 6 months later. It's supposed to be next week, but my surgeon said to cancel it and wait until I recover more from surgery. If you have chemo and surgery, it could be a very long time before you can go to the dentist again

After being on chemo for literally years now., after each break, I still have a different aversion to different smells and foods, each time. You would think it would stay the same after so long. I keep a list of foods and smells that I can't deal with and this helps for future sessions/. I also make it a habit to NEVER eat my normal everyday favorites as my first meal after, no matter how much I crave it!

I'm on my 7th week of chemo and agree with your suggestions. My wig appointment felt like wedding dress shopping and I brought a friend for support. It was a really great experience! I have a port in my chest and the numbing cream is a huge help to keep the pain away. I apply it an hour before treatment and it really works. I experience insomnia on the nights I get chemo so I make the best of it and write thank you notes to the friends who visited, sent cards, and sent gifts. It really helps to have a plan of activities to do when you know you're going to be up for 48 hours. I look forward to it now and feel productive. Cleaning the house and doing laundry the next few days helps me feel productive. I'm at "Bloom with Deb" to share my healing journey each week. It's a great way to communicate with others so I don't have to repeat myself or make a lot of phone calls.

House is clean, Laundry-I washed cloths, towels, blankets, rugs everything ;-) , Meds, lotions, dry mouth products & nausea stuff, Food-especially non-perishables are in. Even the pup got groomed! Its just me and my pup Bugsy, so it really did help. I feel so much more prepared and calm. Thanks again, you are awesome!!

Well, first Chemo session after stopping UCI and transferring to UCSF today. Was expecting the worst because of how UCI threw me under the Chemo bus right after surgery.
But happy to say UCSF changed the type of Chemo and felt very little side effects and feel good for a change. Granted I’m not happy going home on a pump for 48 hours every two weeks. But hopefully if I feel good for the most part after my sessions, I’ll consider myself blessed and on the right track.
Hoping for the best on your treatment as well as my own. Tempted to post videos about my journey, but I’m too picky on quality and won’t post anything I don’t feel good about. I guess working 10+ years in IT for film and VFX will do that.
Anyways, keep the positive coming. Looking forward to your future updates.

Thank you so much for this amazing video. I've literally just done egg collection last week and prior to my diagnosis was trying for a baby. I was/am devastated. I am very close to getting my first chemo and the hair loss thing is TERRIFYING me literally. However, with the people around me, particularly my manager at work (I mean for goodness sake I fell asleep on the desk today! 😂) and you're video, I'm almost (not quit but almost) ready to fight this.

Hope you're doing well. I know you do your research. I hope you give the documentary 'truth about cancer' a watch. The power of nutrition and all alternative methods are so powerful. And unlike chemo, it doesn't destroy the immune system, where cancer will grow back significantly stronger because your defenses will be gone by then. Since you're doing chemo now, watch the documentary which provides many advice on how to better your overall treatment like certain spices, herbs, etc.
