My theory is that's how Adblue reduces emissions
All the time you're looking for a sensor fault you're not running the engine and reducing the emissions
    Technology going backwards
Chin up Mr Digg we're rooting for ya buddy 👍

@@TheRealMrDiGG My theory is that the machine does not really have a problem but that a defective sensor makes you believe in the systems that there is a problem so it is only my impression but basically wanting to put a bunch of sensors and things like that creates virtual failure (detecting a breakdown or other when in reality the mechanics work perfectly)

Ryan, DEF is a mixture of 32.5% urea and pure clean water, so a little bit of water should not change the moisture enough to log a fault code. But a bad DEF quality sensor can! Recently, the truck OEMs had an issue with the DEF header and had to replace a bunch of them.

Mr Diggs, I worked in the trucking world for 30 years. I liked and hated my job. Especially my last 12 years. Had to deal with SGR valve and DEF.. We had drivers who had to do manual regens. When going down road with heavy load then regen not needed but if caught in heavy slow moving traffic then would need a manual regen. Truck sits at a truck stop for couple days idling then needs regen. . Dont know why this machine does not have manual regen but maybe what is needed is to run ait at a high RPM for a few minutes to simulate a manual rgen..

11:26 pretty nice thinking with that gopro. 13:20 with the tangled and torn fibers was especially nice. 17:14, 20:29. The industrial metal of the bolts, the shiny drill, and the shredded logs are all really nice subjects for a photo shoot. B&W, macro, a shot on a sunny day of the moment the dust clouds burst out as fibers are pulled away by the drill. Though I guess getting up close to that big ol’ drill head is a bit iffy.

Have been subscribed for maybe 6 months now, and I have to say, it seems like you run a great business and are the kind of leader pretty much would want to work for. I’m sure your turnover is way lower than others in your industry.
I really like how innovative you are and always looking for ways to better reuse materials. Yeah, it’s better for the bottom line, but it’s just a smart way to get more use out of these waste materials. A lot of these types of businesses just keep doing things the same way or just looking to run things as cheap as possible vs investing in equipment, technology, and people.
I work in a completely different industry (building Software products as a Software Engineer for almost 30 years now) but grew up in a very rural area doing farming and other blue collar work. I prefer making things better and this the kind of place that would keep things as fun and interesting as my current career.
Anyway, not trying to brown nose or anything. Just on the outside looking in from a very forward thinking industry perspective, and wanted to give you a sincere kudos!

@TheRealMrDiGG Hi there Ryan. Re post if you missed it. I worked with a composting facility that was built as a side business right next door to a 50000 head hog farm. All of the hog waste and dead hogs were emaciated, then pumped and aerated into settling ponds, and then onto the rows and rows of compost along with heaps and heaps of other organic material. One day there was a police escort with a tanker truck that had 8000 gallons of a bad batch of Southern Comfort Whiskey dumped into one of the ponds. (or they couldn't sell the shi#) That smelt pretty good compared to your big omelet there.. It's amazing the stuff that they used to charge companies big $ to dump there and make amazing compost from it all. Enjoy your day bud.

Customize a regular log splitter. That's what I would do. Make it longer long enough for a log. Say 30 feet and I know the piston would have to be custom but I swear to God it would be worth it. Set the whole log on it, hit the button. And push it through grab the next log and on the 10 second cycle. Put it on there, split that log. Grab another one, wait for the 10 second cycle. But the log on etc. It'd be 10 times faster and more efficient than that. I'll draw up some plans if you want me to invent that machine for you.Cause I can do that

Makes you wonder what was wrong with those logs which meant they didn't get turned into lumber by whoever cut them in the first place.
Pleased you're working on rectifying that.

@@TheRealMrDiGG I rescued a chunk of timber off the shore the other day.
Carved off the outer crud with the chainsaw & had my local sawmill cut it into slabs - eleven 1½" x14"x52" pieces of superbly spalted beech.
Sold two for £80 each to a guy who saw me loading them into the truck. 😁

if you had that timber in the uk and cut it up in to firewood you would be making big money a 45 foot container full of nets of logs ready to sell is around the £10000 mark to buy in

I would love to have access to some of those logs for my sawmill especially those hardwoods if you were closer, those large pines would make a lot better lumber than this garbage they sell now. Oh god, Scania engines and parts are expensive af. Engine blows probably cheaper to buy another new machine lol

When are we going to stand up and tell these idiots at the epa that enough is enough. This def fluid thing is useless. You can’t tell me that after you make this stuff (out of LP gas) , package it , ship it, warehouse it , distribute it, spill it, and destroy your engine with it that it is saving our environment. Worse idea in the history of internal combustion engines. Somebody needs to reel these people in. Total scam that is just making everything way more expensive.

So far the millions of valid complaints to the EPA about the pointlessness and problems caused by the system, have fallen on DEF ears.

In past years, we were concerned with the NOX emissions of diesel engines. Now we add urea, which is nitrogen fertilizer, to control emissions. Please, some engineer or chemist, explain that to me. That goberment fluid is corrosive to boot.
I am glad that some of the logs are diverted to lumber production. Lumber generally goes to durable products that keep the carbon locked up for as long as the product lasts. I just wish I was there with my mill.
