Crispy jacket spud, can I cheat on the cooking time ?

    If you do it at 200 and brush it with oil or butter it will be really crunchy. And yes micro for a while really helps.

    That looks a good idea, I always microwave jacket potatoes, cuts down on electricity too, you seem to have cooked and finished it off perfectly with the settings on the air fryer.

      It was spot on Nigel, it was all a guess but couldn't of been better. Imagine the energy use for a 2 hour oven time. Air fryers are good 👍

      Great energy save and looks good. I'm waiting until my local aldi or lidl have them back in stock to get myself an air fryer .

      @@lisastives1148 Oh, they are good 👍 People are buying them all the time from Aldi and Lidl and they've had good review s, cheaper there than the mainstream outlets.

    I do the same as you but i brush oil over the spud gives it a nice crusty brown skin.

      Good idea John, I will do that as I have oil but never need to use it for pan frying.
