@@nigel5608 Everything in B&Q is expensive. Last year I wanted a large sink plunger and they only had small flimsy ones at £6.00. I found a huge one in one of the supermarkets at £4.50. No wonder the place is never busy because nobody wants to pay their silly prices.

Yes, I have plenty to moan about and be miserable. As you know quite well, when we reach the...."we've done our stint" age and start to wind down, you look back and realise that things used to be much better and cheaper.

@@radioweebdx7680 The way I see it is that it will get eaten eventually in times of crisis or not, so as long the expiry dates are observed, then there's no money wasted. Everything is ramping up and they are all preparing for the main event and something new into the mix is France, with no clear direction or rule. Sadly though, my shortwave listening is limited to the odd windows of opportunity when the interference stops. Radio reception is very bad at most times but I do get clear reception if I listen early morning around 4 am.

@@campervan-john I think with comments regardless of what is said, that they touch on topics video related, that toob doesn't like. Many times we will need to check if they stay or not.

@@campervan-john Yes, they are hard work now. This one is little used and is probably why it's in beautiful condition. Best one that I can remember but they were all mostly good, when I was a kid. I don't have a choice but drive down the shite ones doing the job. I don't like it much but it's better than some other jobs.

@@radioweebdx7680 Standards have certainly slipped but a lot of it is they have patience anymore.

It's not a very large area but one of the few peaceful places around. Dog walkers in their droves during the day, quite pleasant if you have the time.

You are right, it does. Dirty looking shop fronts and just an average coop for a large amount of people. Lidl are building a store half a mile away, for the many that don't have cars. Those that do seem lazy to walk much, hence they park anywhere and get away with it.

@@lisastives1148 I hope to be able to do Chudleigh at a busy time, a place so bad that nobody is happy trying to get through a ridiculous bottle neck, that the council just ignores. I made the start clip 2 years ago when I started the channel but forgot about it, until i looked through my pc that I don't use anymore. I managed it in one take if I remember.

They will that's true. I used to work with someone that shopped everyday to buy reduced items and then normally for the weekend. He said, as long as it's not dairy or poultry foods, then he ate it the same day or the next. Some are only happy if they get cheap or free.

That makes sense in your case because of travelling about and there's no point going back to a cheaper one each time. I fill conveniently and cheaper, using the garage that I pass anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a stash of face nappies in the glove box.

They do and people do it for the attention. Never had one or a posers vehicle and never will.

He is planning to retire soon, he told me but he needs to do around 17 cars that are for his attention to clear the way to shut shop. That's a lot of work and if he takes jobs on top of that, then he will be there for some time yet. Parking is still erratic in the village and somedays I have a job getting down past the post office store to his garage. It's still one of my favourite villages and much nicer than Moretonhampstead nearby which I don't rate at all.

I doubt that it will be too long before it becomes troublesome, ford has been shite for many years and my minibus was a good example. 1000 plus miles a week I do, too many for it I'm sure.

Having the signage made to cover that road and the other road that I have mentioned, would probably cost more than they spend on pothole repairs. I need to find the reason behind all these signs, regardless of the too much tax payers money spent. I bet that they will say......."it's for your safety" something that I rarely heard, if at all back in the 20th century.

Good observation and that could come into play if it rains. The other road between two towns that I mentioned, I travel 3 to 4 times daily. Its a normal size road of two carriageways and a good surface but the 20mph limit is ridiculous. Because it constantly twists and turns most of its length, overtaking is almost impossible, when faced with some old granny dawdling along at 20mph.

Absolutely 👍 An Audi, I encounter many daily. Always in a hurry, too fast and very few signal and they brake heavily, hareing up to junctions.

Absolutely 👍 Such a good thing and after the majority of people accepted the 2020 arm juice so readily, they may have thought the same would happen with that.

Re surfacing with a thin layer of tar and stones on top. Rather than fill potholes, they waste money doing that when sometimes it's not necessary.
