Thanks for the video - changed my secondary belt on my X350 with the 48 inch deck today - took just a few minutes, and your video was helpful. Step-by-step worked great for me - certainly much less time than trying to snake the belt through with the deck on.
Thanks for a great instructional ,clearly spoken video. this is the 1st time I have worked on a drive like this and the original belt was gone so your vid was priceless. Only different way I did it was with mower deck on and hoisting the machine to a 30 degree angle to have better access.
Thank you for the video! Also important to note: The pulleys are flat or V-shaped and the belt has a flat side and V-shaped side. I just realized now that john deere delivered my mower with the belt flipped so the V-shaped was on the flat pulleys and the flat part of the belt was on the V-shaped pulleys! The belt worked for 5 years like this but started to shred. The new one I installed thanks to your video is on the correct way.
The hardest part in removing the mower deck on my X350 is removing the J-pins. You make it look so easy with those brand new mowers, but this is always a hassle for me. I lower the deck all the way as in the video, but then it's a struggle getting those pins to release all the way. I have all sorts of scrapes and bruises on my hands fighting with those pins. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hey remowb i had the same issue but i unhooked the front first carefully and also lifted the deck up and put blocks underneath to relieve the pressure on the jpins and they came out.. good luck and be careful

I have a problem. I changed the deck belt following the video but she’s not turning when I drove the mower. What am I missing
Great video, thanks!
How about a video for the 42"? Thanks!
What size belt is the bottom one
What size belt is this? I got the M169500 which seems to be the belt online but it doesn’t work.
I need to replace worn John Deere u-bend Pin M173440. How do you remove and install them?
Unfortunately My X350 deck is different.. This vid did not have the same pulley arrangement for my yellow 48" deck.
Thank you!!! You are awesome!!!
