I’m begging you: never discontinue the ultimate reality series! This is Fender at it’s very best, in my personal opinion. There is plenty of products for the traditionalists, so keep this one for us oddballs. I’m definitely going to have to buy this guitar. It looks like a lot of fun, and I’m thinking that doubling a rhythm part with a regular guitar and this should produce a very rich, luxurious sound.
LJN 71, i've ordered one few days ago,and it will be given to me in about 3 months, once arrived at the store, will be made some extra works, i'm left handed, so i have required to change some parts of the instrument; if you don't mind, i like to give you some tips to obtain a richer sound: A good compressor,( i have the TC Hypergravity, excellent product), an octaver, and finally the equalizer. These pedals will help you a lot to improve your tele tenor; i'm telling you this because i already play an electric banjo ,tuned tenor A D G C . Best regards, 👋🎵🎵
4 string tenor guitars were popular with players from jazz to blues to folk. Don't know why they vanished but kudos to Fender for the most versatile tenor guitar ever.
This Eugene fella is really likeable and a great presenter. Hey Fender! If you want to make people want to buy things, get Eugene to present all your products.
Basic Tenor Guitar tuning works. Fun fact, Tenor Guitars were made for Tenor Banjo players who wanted a Guitar sound because in the Transition period from Banjo to Guitar, Guitars replaced Banjos & Mandolins in Jazz settings.
Why’d you discontinue this so soon? I was eager to get one since I first saw it at the Namm show, but I frequently looked at online retailers and they kept pushing the date back, and then as soon as any of them started selling them, they were sold out and it was discontinued.
@UCI7fys0WM62xF2jUlUdq0XQ Fun fact, the Tenor Guitar was originally designed for Tenor Banjo players who wanted to get a Guitar sound because in that "transition period from Banjo to Guitar", Guitars started to replace Banjos & Mandolins in a Jazz Setting.
You wish, they've pretty much gave up making anything but 4-strings and lame 20-fret vintage style 5-strings nobody wants now. I don't get why they can't put out a decent 5 string J or P like they used to. Don't get why they won't make any "modern" guitars anymore either, they made some top tier superstrats in the 80s and 90s but nothing since.
Fender, you came **THIS CLOSE** to reissuing/remaking the Squier Tele bass! 😭 Oh well.... I still think this is really cool. But Fender really owes us Alternate Reality basses. How about a passive Jaguar bass with a mudbucker at the neck and a jazz pickup at the bridge?
You have to be fast - these sell out instantly as soon as they are listed. Best to put a pre-order in before they are sold out reverb.com/item/18725698-fender-alternate-reality-tenor-telecaster-lake-placid-blue-pre-order?_aid=growsumo&gs_partner=Trogly
So when are you guys ever going to make neck thru guitars with 24 frets? I wanna see those features especially on a strat and I would buy one right away.
Their current attitude seems to be that it would devalue their brand somehow, i don't get it. Fender's superstrats were well recieved by those who got to try them, they were just too hard to find.
@@BleedingEdgeOfProgress Maybe is because of these features are reserved for Jackson or Charvel, since Fender owns both of these brands. But I still would really like to see Fender pulling off a superstrat.
@UCI7fys0WM62xF2jUlUdq0XQ I once used the 4 high strings from a set of Octave4Plus 12 String Strings, & the High B is .006 making the new tuning D4, G4, B4, E4. That new one is called Chicagoville Tuning which is High Strung Tuning for a Tenor Guitar. Pair that with another Tenor in Chicago Tuning & it sounds like an 8 String Tenor Guitar. BTW Nick Reynolds converted his 4 String Tenor Guitar into an 8 String by adding on 4 more Strings & 4 more tuners. The reason he did it that was because he thought "More Strings could give me a bigger sound". There should be a 5 String Tenor Guitar (Tuned F, C, G, D, A) cause you can get a bigger range, tune it like the top 5 strings or a standard Guitar, or even so Open G & play Keith Stuff. Why not make 8 String Tenor-Teles (4 pairs), & even 10 String Tenor-Teles (5 pairs including a Low F). I restrung a 6 String Guitar as a Nashville Tuned Guitar which is essentially a 6 String version of a Tenor Guitar & the lowest 5 strings are up an Octave (High B is a .006).
Great performance! Can you help me where to buy this guitar? I tryed to find her everywhere...But nothing! Excuse for my bad English language...but help me!!!
Nah man I was looking for a strat version but I have to go to the custom shop and get it master built. Only reason I'm doing that is coz I'll be gigging alot
Why not Tenor-caster
Fr, missed opportunity
Or Telenorcaster
Not just the name. Eastwood out-Telecastered them with a more Telecaster bridge.
@@MrDpool1 so the telecaster from eastwood is more telecaster than the telecaster from fender that made telecaster?
@@ruangnada9477 The Tenorcaster has a Telecaster bridge. The Tenor Tele doesn't and has the Strat-style saddles that make it sound wrong.

Perfect for Lo-fi tunes and for Ukelele tuning
faxxx
I’d just tune it as a ukulele to confuse tf out of people
capo on the 5th fret and you’re good to go
That’s why I want this lol! I can’t play guitar but I can play ukulele, get a guitar sound you know?
Does your dog has flees?
Um, he kinda does, as in top four strings of a guitar

More Twang, More Chicks!

Could the bassists get some love? Another alternate reality bass would be lovely
I need 6string tenor bass
they should make a tiny bass too
the telebasster needs to happen!
@@Rick-pi9zn and they've got the tele headstock already designed! Itd be great
Yeah, also with two less string. So, 2 string bass. Cool :O
Perfect if you want to play a Mac Demarco song... And if you are a T-Rex
What a awesome presenter. Very professional and made the guitar look great.
I swear I thought it was a regular Tele in the thumbnail. Wtf
That is the cutest tele i have ever seen, my sausage fingers would press on all the four frets at once
erik Urlang which four frets? Or do you mean strings?
Many consider C-G-D-A in fifths like a mandola to be the correct tuning for tenor guitars. Like an American tenor banjo.

Lol

Fender has a pretty enjoyable demo format now.
I agree with you. Eugene is a great player and presenter. Their camera/editors do a great job as well. Everything is very concise and to the point.
This Guitar rocked, & 5ths Tuning (like a Viola) really makes it easier for Orchestral String players to think.
Electric baritone ukulele. Nice
that tone at the beginning is incredible
everyone: Can you put stainless steel frets on your USA/Ultra guitars?
Fender: Here’s a weird 4 string Tele no one will buy 👍🏻
Literally tho
I'd buy if it wasn't for $499 lol
Fender: creates guitar with ultra modern specs that could never be confused for a vintage guitar.
Also Fender: it's a 62, ummmmm, Hot Rod!
Damn.. lol

1:36 Lo-Fi Chill Vibes ❤
I hope they do another run of these, I discovered this guitar too late
Electric Guitars are fantastic for beginners & this is one of them.
I want to live in an alternate reality where Tenor Tele’s and Electrix XII’s are available left-handed.

Woah this guy is huge
Okay, Fender. You got me. This is something I WANT! (Can you make one with a V-neck, though?)
Imma start saving some money to buy this crazy ass guitar
Sorry, i meant big ukulele
