Halo 3 - Hunter and Arbiter vs Flood

WHY ARE THESE GUYS INVINCIBLE?????????????
I was using a steam workshop mod in Halo MCC. The Halo 3 campaign shapeshifter mod has mediocre moments such as the inability for the hunter to melee.
