Whatever goatee is fashionable or not ...what people thinks about goatee....I would say the goatee genre is one of the best in Beard Kingdom and gives a masculine look on your face....I always maintain my extended goatee by using a shavette straight razor
I've had both and a goatee takes far less maintenance than a full long beard. Let alone no stray hairs all over your place that you need to clean up after. I shave my goatee twice a week and trim it once a week which takes literally 3 minutes with clippers.
Bro that con about skin problems hit me soo hard. My skin was fine when I shaved becausei t exfoliated it but when I grew my beard it had skin problems. It was like that until I had grown it for 3 weeks or so. I am at week 4 now, thinking about making the switch to the goatee, I have a 10-11 mm beard
Those kinds of issues aren't uncommon at all so you aren't alone. just be sure to moisturize with beard oil and brush/comb your beard to make sure the hair doesn't get ingrown! And all facial hair is awesome so goatee, beard, mustache, etc. whatever it is, go for it!

First of all, very nice beard, you wear it well. And secondly, I have had a beard for most of my adult life, but have occasionally worn a goatee, and I have to say while I cannot say which i enjoy better, I say that whatever type of beard that you as a man feel great about having, even if its just a mustache, then wear it with pride and forget all the naysayers that give you crap about it. There's an oldie that has a line it that says: "I'm alright now, learned my lesson well, you can't please everyone so you got to please yourself."
At the end of the day, it's whatever makes you feel confident and good about yourself that is all that matters! Thanks for pointing that out. We can give all the tips in the world about mustaches, beards, or goatees but if they don't suit a person's preferences or personality, that person should do what they want most! Ive had a full ginger beard but now for some reason my beard is thicker and fuller on the goattee section the sides dont show as nicely so think ill do a goatee too again
That's not uncommon, usually the hair around the chin and mustache grow fuller/quicker than the hair on the sides do. Just gotta make the most of what you've got!

I've done both goatee n full beard. Stubble is my fav look though. goatees are more dated in style yet are less maintenance
