    Personally, I'm excited to see if any of these cards have any impact at all on Vintage. So far, I don't see anything that looks like it'd see play there, but I'm also *really bad at this game* so I'm maybe wrong. Either way, perhaps one day one of the cards will make it on to "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!

    I love your videos Nizza. Have helped me a lot to improve my drafts records. But a sad (or maybe funny) story.. I drafted a cool modify deck with 2 (!!!) Goro-Goro and 1 Jugan Defends the temple. I thought I had the best deck ever....until I went with a pitiful 1-3. I never got to play to my rares and mana was not on my side :( haha. I guess variance can get you even when you have some crazy bombs!

      @@Nr4747 It was definitely a mix of variance of bad luck! My first match I was against a guy who had even more bombs than me! The second one, I got mana flood.... yikes!! In neither of those games I got any of my rares. And finally on my third and final game, I did get Goro Goro on play!!! with 1 only mountain, so no way to activate his ability.... yeah. That was my sad experience :D. Oh and btw Jugan never showed his petty little face in any game.

    Got Reality Chip in my sealed and never found the time to actually equip it in my low-curve blue/red artifacts deck. The effect is powerful for sure, but yeah, need to actually find the time to get to using it. I'd imagine it's actually best in green/blue because that color combination is much more likely to be able to spend 3 mana on an effect that at the moment of activation is harming your board and might need to go a few cards into the deck till it actually breaks even if you're unlucky. The format is high-powered and favors attacking over defending, as far as first impressions go. Oh yeah, also worth noting that the green artifact/enchantment removal is probably maindeckable, which is also bad news for Reality Chip.

  • @Multifridgeman
    @Multifridgeman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm a little confused about Jugan. Chapter 1 is great early, but terrible late. Chapter 2 needs at least 2 creatures on the board to get the full effect, and there's no guarantee your monk will survive the opponent's turn, especially if you need to block with the monk to stall. The remnant being a 2/2 flyer after 3 turns unless you lean heavily into modification and have an existing board state seems like a build-around. I can see the potential in the activated ability, especially with cheap ninjutsu creatures, but is it really bomb-level good if it requires so many other cards and archetypes to make an impact?

    • @Blackvolttage
      @Blackvolttage 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to play creatures and thats it. If you manage to make the monk survive you both have more mana and one modified creature. Then just pay that extra mana to make stuff bigger. If that alone wont win you the game, the 7/7 flyier should do the work.
      Drawing your 3 drop late is usually bad, yes, but you afected the board 3 times with this card alone. If you are ahead its great, if you are in parity its great and if you are behind its fine.
      But most often you need removal if you are behind... with 1 life and your opponent with 5 creatures more than you not even Ao (white dragon) will save your ass.

    Satoru Umezawa isnt a bomb. He looks good on paper, but he is so deck dependent. In late game he does nothing. He has No impact on a board the turn you play him. Too overrated card in limited.

    • @teatree7334
      @teatree7334 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree- four mana is already above the price of most of the creatures in your deck, and while the upside is alright, it's not really comparable to a bomb like Hidigetsu or even Spring-Leaf Avenger, imo

    • @jinxed7915
      @jinxed7915 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also agree. As the other person said, a ninjutsu cost of 4 is not great. To be fair, you should only play Umezawa in a deck with a lot of cards that already have ninjutsu, but getting an unblocked creature is harder to do than Nizzahon makes it out to be, and usually it will require attacking suboptimally with two creatures (with one of them certain to die) just to guarantee you can ninjutsu something in, and usually attacking like that means you're probably taking damage on the swing back.
      Umezawa is good in the right deck, but I definitely would have replaced him with that black creature with the red ability since that gives you a much easier form of damage and card advantage all on the same package
