Thanks for this, really appreciate it. My 5900x crapped out and I was looking for a spare until the 9xxx series releases. The 5600 seems like a decent replacement for only $90. I mostly use gpu rendering anyways.

I agree. For straight gaming, the 5600 is a great cpu.

@@jackshardware Prices went down and im wondering to upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600 OC to 4.5GHZ on all cores to a Ryzen 9 5900x planning to OC to 4.9GHZ on all cores for roughly the same price I bought the 5600 1.5 years ago! Currently rocking a RX 6800 dont see any reason to upgrade my GPU for now! Was wondering if its worth it!

@@tzvetantzvetanov5598 It depends on what you want to do with your system. For example, if you do a lot of video rendering, then it's definitely worth it. The same with gaming, with some games at least. But, if you're mostly just gaming, the 5600 is a perfectly solid processor. Also, if you're in the US and have a Microcenter near you, you can get good deals on CPUs, such as the 5900x for around $200 at times. Most important nowadays though isn't the CPU so much, it's the GPU. So do consider upgrading your present one. An RX 7800 XT for instance, is a great upgrade in terms of performance to cost. If you have the budget, also consider a 7900 GRE, which is an even better option, or a 7900XT.
