As a fan of rallying, which you didn't include, may I just park Sébastien Loeb in here. 9 times World Champion (no one else has more than 7), 79 event wins (no one else has more than 50), most stage wins, wins on any terrain, and so many other records. The undisputed GOAT of rallying and one of the greatest racing drivers of all time.

I think in F1 you could have also mentioned Juan Manuel Fangio, as he won championships with many different manufacturers in an era where drivers died like flies. And for me Senna and Schumacher are above Hamilton. Fight me.
Sadly it does appear that mercedes have inflated Hamilton to GOAT status when we who follow the sport know that he really doesn't belong there, shit i'd put lauda, jim clark, jackie stewart and jochen rindt above Hamilton aswell as all the ones you mentioned. Except i do think Lewis is better than Schumacher, schumacher was a generally pretty dirty driver who multiple times crashed with his title rivals and even did it super deliberate one time and got suspended from the season. He was a super angry man completely delusional. The one thing Hamilton does have up his sleeve is that he always won pretty fair, arguably the worst thing he did was back Nico Rosberg up in 2016 to try and win but he never did dirty tricks like Alonso or Senna or Prost.
In modern era i really think Niki was the goat, his story is like no other on the list, took a loan to even get in, was super smart got his face burned off and lungs injured in a firery crash and came back to nearly win the title anyway only losing by 1 point, retired and came back years later to beat Alain fucking Prost in the same car to win the championship yet again and lets not forget Alain beat Senna in the same car so hes no slouch. Ontop of that he's the entire reason why Hamilton has 7 titles and not 1 right now. He has history with almost every major team in the sport and he truly was one of the most charismatic individuals to come out of F1.

Got it spot on with the rugby union section mate. Lomu is by far and away the GOAT. The fact that Dan Carter and Richie McCaw were in your honourable mentions shows how dominant NZ are. Lomu was quick, strong, and athletic. He would side-step you with ease or he barrel right over you; either way, he was getting past you. Like yourself I enjoy ranking, making lists and xi’s etc mainly in football but sometimes other sports so your channel has probably become my favourite on TH-cam. Last year I ended up on furlough for around 6 months and a crazy idea I came up with was an all time olympics which went unfinished when I returned to work as it was a massive project. Although most of the sports you analysed were either team sports or split into multiple events the rest I think I agreed on them all. Regardless of all that i simply enjoyed this video and look forward to the possibility of your channel doing more non football related videos dispute that the majority of them are fantastic

So O lineman's and defensive players get overshadowed simply because, Brady can throw a football far. Motor sports is definitely a sport. The only sport you put your life on the line every time you suit up.
There are lots of dangerous sports, any of the combat sports for example or things like mountain climbing. Considering he included darts and snooker I think we're safe enough though. On F1 as it's the the sport I'm most knowledgable, Hamilton is definitely in the running but Jim Clark and Fangio were missing from the list of possibles. If you take it from the beginning of F1 in 1950 rather than grand prix racing as a whole then it's a choice of those 5.

Football is your sport, but it is only my second favorite sport. My true passion is Road Cycling. As a historian I can guarantee you that Lance Armstrong would never be in the conversation as the GOAT even if you count his seven wins. You could make a case for him as the number one Tour de France rider of all time, but he is not much in front of the likes af Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault - two riders who are miles ahead of Armstrong in almost every other important bike race.
The Tour de France is the most important bike race, but it is not everything. When you include the two other Grand Tours (big stage races) and the biggest one day races, most cycling historians (and Im talking the ones which includes Armstrong as a 7 time Tour-winner) will have him around 7-12 in an all-time list. He won the Tour, but he was almost invisible in the rest of the race calendar. Its possibly like being the greatest World Cup player ever but never winning a single European Cup or Domestic League title. In that case you would prefer the second or third greatest World Cup players with a lot of European Cups and Champions League to add.
Frenchman Bernard Hinault and Italian Fausto Coppi are probably the two most important honorable mentions, but Eddy Merckx is so many miles in front of everyone, that Im honestly thinking of him as the greatest sportsman of all time. In Grand Tours Merckx has the most wins of all time with 11 (5 Tour de France, 5 Tour of Italy and 1 Tour of Spain). In comparison Armstrong has 7 Tour de France, but he never won the other two. And if we are looking at the 5 most important one-day bike races + the UCI Road World Championship Merckx is truly dominant. He has won 22 or 23 of those races, while fellow belgian Roger De Vlaeminck is second with 11!! Armstrong has 1.
And in all types of wins Merckx has won almost 300 races. The next in line has 162 wins. He was a beast :)

As far as athletic ability wil chamberlain is the undisputed goat. He is inducted in both the basketball and volleyball hall of fame was an olympian level sprinter and jumper while only in college and he could bench press more than 500 pounds which is more than what schwarzenegger could bench press.
