Here's a shortlist Mertesacker, Lehmann, Ozil, Ballack, Ziege, Hamann, Podolski, Klinsmann, Huth, Trautmann, Uwe Rosler, Leroy Sane, Gundogan, Schweinsteiger, and Schurrle. I know some are maybe, eh, not as great as the others but this is on top of my head. Now, go on and discuss.
Here's a video idea. There's 24 teams at the Euros. That's a decent number to try to build a 24 man squad (just 2 goalies needed) with one player from each international team. GKS - Oblak, Lunin RB - Couffal, Maehle CB - Skriniar, Milenkovic, Gvardiol, Rudiger, Bastoni LB - Robertson, Rodriguez MD - Asilani, Szoboszlai, Calhanoglu, Laimar, Rodri, Bellingham WG - Kvaratskhelia, Man, Depay, Mbappe, Doku FW - Lewandowski, Ronaldo

Maybe it's because I'm polish, but I'd say playing almost 300 games of first tier polish football is better than being stuck in 3rd tier of italian football for whole life.
it's a shame that a Serb made a mistake about the team of his country... in the video it is well explained that Stojkovic at that moment played for Marseille and in the final he refused to take penalty against Red Star. But what isn't known, it wasn't because of love to his former club, it was because he was subbed in 112. minute. He was mad at coach because he played great prior this final.

Totally agree with the Roberto Martinez take. I feel like for some reason there's this narrative that he's a failure when he has accomplished quite a lot. Even with Belgium people seem to frown at him literally finishing 3rd in a World Cup on merit... like it's just weird to me. I don't get why he's so underrated despite having achieved success. Sure, he isn't a top coach, but so? He's still good at what he does. Maybe it's because people thought of him higher before when his stock was high and were disappointed so he's now widely rated low? No idea

I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
how bout getting a job or a productive hobby?
So, how did you enjoy today's video?
Easy, Trautmann, Mertesacker, Özil in that order
Here's a shortlist
Mertesacker, Lehmann, Ozil, Ballack, Ziege, Hamann, Podolski, Klinsmann, Huth, Trautmann, Uwe Rosler, Leroy Sane, Gundogan, Schweinsteiger, and Schurrle. I know some are maybe, eh, not as great as the others but this is on top of my head. Now, go on and discuss.
I don't think it would be that interesting of a video to be honest?
Hi Alfie. Why don't you try some Copa America content too
its a rigged competition for arg*ntina anyways🤦♂️🤦♂️
Because no one cares about cops America
Pure talent alone my top two is 1.stojkovic
2. Montella
5:30 I never ever thought I'd hear someone talk about my school in a football/soccer TH-cam video
Congrats Adu
Here's a video idea. There's 24 teams at the Euros. That's a decent number to try to build a 24 man squad (just 2 goalies needed) with one player from each international team. (I think the key is probably to look at the weaker sides first and go for their best player.)
I got this.
GKS - Oblak, Lunin
RB - Couffal, Maehle
CB - Skriniar, Milenkovic, Gvardiol, Rudiger, Bastoni
LB - Robertson, Rodriguez
MD - Asilani, Szoboszlai, Calhanoglu, Laimar, Rodri, Bellingham
WG - Kvaratskhelia, Man, Depay, Mbappe, Doku
FW - Lewandowski, Ronaldo
Depay... ??? All credibility gone I'm afraid 😢
Football’s greatest Willys!
I do think Koeman is underrated as the Dutch manager. He was doing very well before taking the ill-fated Barcelona job, and he seems to be doing quite well now that he's back with Oranje.
Koeman did really well in his first stint as Dutch manager. He inherited a team without any confidence or succes and rebuild it 8bto a team that beat both France and Germany in the Nations League and qualified for the Euros 20, before leaving for Barcelona. When you look objectively, he didnt do much worse there than his succesor Xavi ;)
Rank the 7 greatest Willy's
Rebrov needs to be higher, those dynamo teams beat Real Madrid and Barca in champions league. They were legit. In my opinion there are way worse flops than 15 goals in 2 seasons in prem
it where my early days following cl, to this day shevchenko rebrow is one of the best forward duo's if ever seen. this guy had a patent scoring insane world class goals. and kiev where indeed giant slayers
Some time stamps would have been helpful , usually i dont have the patience to watch such long videos just to see a 2 minutes part in which am interested
Kinda defeats the whole object of the video. It's a countdown...
@@hottakehylas ok but I don't care about the other managers I just wanna see the manager of my country national team
And if it's a countdown then what's the problem if he uses time stamps , I don't even see a number in a corner to indicated which place is that manager
I just care about a short segment of the video , it would be a waste of time to watch an entire video when you just care about something that is only talked about for 2 minutes
The most ironic thing about Domenico Tedesco is his surname. "Tedesco" means German in Italian.
it's incredible how much dragan stojkovic piksi is beloved in japan
As a bristol city fan its nice to see the ashton gate bar meme at 16:45 in this video
11:52 The closest you can get to Pep Guardiola. Europe is not ready for La PROBINETA!
Rebrov should be at least top-7, the man was iconic for its Dynamo kyiv 1999 1/2 UCL campaign.
Nice, mentioning the best Willie ever, Willie van der Kuilen. Dutch all league topscorer..love it
In terms of talent it should be Stojkovic #1 & it's not even close imo.
7 countries that have been to the World Cup more than their continental championship?
Wow, a picture of my hometown of Heidelberg in one of your videos!
Videos for you to consider
- what on earth is going on at inverness Caledonian thistle
From third place and winning Scottish cup to Scottish league one
You Haven’t had a Scottish team in this series so you might want to.
- Clapton CFC
A fan owned team and their story
You do like a non league video at times for the viewers
- the rise of bashundhara kings
How they won last six Bangladesh premier League now
- last suggestion would be your q and a video 😊
12:00 Probierz left Aris because they had huge financial problems.
Gareth SouthGOAT - we could actually do with his younger self in the back line for this tournament because of all of the injuries
Interesting mate, nice work 👍🏻
🇮🇹 and 🇩🇪 have the two best managers as far as coaching goes in this Euro imo
Can't wait for him to rank all of the managers as managers now.
What a great, obviously so much worked list, thank you so much.! Specially thank you for remembering Stojkovic, a magician with the ball, showed how you really have the full as possible football knolledge and memory. I remember watching Stojkovic live and it was really something else. They ended 5th in Italy90 but they should really had it all to win the Sweeden92 EURO. Politics left them out and their substitute Denmark won, which was another indicator that Yugoslavia should have won that year. CHEERS!!!!!!
Maybe it's because I'm polish, but I'd say playing almost 300 games of first tier polish football is better than being stuck in 3rd tier of italian football for whole life.
As a 90s kid, Alfie listing that Italian forward line up was nostalgic as heck.
Stojkovic was a monster in his prime, captain of incredible Red Star team that went on to win Champions League
it's a shame that a Serb made a mistake about the team of his country... in the video it is well explained that Stojkovic at that moment played for Marseille and in the final he refused to take penalty against Red Star. But what isn't known, it wasn't because of love to his former club, it was because he was subbed in 112. minute. He was mad at coach because he played great prior this final.
This is the fastest I've seen a video on YT ever! 7 seconds ago
Seven huh?
Fantastic vid bruv
ronald koeman having more goals as a defender than most strikers is absolutely diabolical.
At 29:33 who is wearing Brazil's number 9? I was so shocked to see Marcio Amoroso next to him and for a brief second I thought it might be Marcelinho, but I am sure that's not him.
Pretty sure it’s Franca in the No. 9. Would have been upfront with Rivaldo and Amoroso.
@@chrisdevine1982 Aaaaaah I knew that I saw him in the Bundesliga, just couldn't think of the name. Thank you so much!
i think you underrated Rebrov tbh
not even a little
@@bekheleRebrov scored 20 goals in the champions league. Played in the UCl semifinal. This Chech coach is worse than him 100%
Football‘s greatest Willy - isn‘t that Kyle Walker Though?
Anghel Iordanescu is definitely NOT the greatest romanian coach oat, that title should definitely go to Mircea Lucescu imo
Anyone named Mircea is destined to do great things!
I'm amazed how well you pronounce Polish names :O Kudos
The top 7 would make the basis for some team if they all played together (and had similarly good teammates).
God forbid, If Virgil gets injured we'll just sub in Koeman and we should be fine.
Harsh on Van De Ven, Ake, Blind ;).
@@Hyde_Hillvan de ven was so disrespected in this euros. Top CB
No idea
Loved this one 🥂
The willy debate killed me😂😂😂
Biggest willy competition
FIFA 97 was the fourth game. The first one was just called FIFA International Soccer, then 95, 96, 97, etc.
Well, not etc since the next was FIFA Road to World Cup 98
Koeman was a goated cb
What I love is Tedesco is Italian for German. Seems fitting…
I guess the young coaches prove that clubs also scout potential coaching talent at their academies/youth level too, after all you need somebody to coach U6, U8 and all the later age groups and if you are good, you can quickly rise up the ranks
❤love this channel ❤❤❤
20:09 i was sorting thru my kids clothes earlier and found a very old chelsea shirt that was mine as a teen but gave to my daughter , the shirt is the away version of this and i managed to just squeeze into it and have wore it all day, the surprise and happines when this pic popped up was great lol (just a shame that its almost a belly top on my 30 odd year old dad bod :/ )
Rebrov was world class in his prime, I'd put him top 5
people who actually did saw him play know
Today I learned, that I played at the same level as Domenico Tedesco, I even played togeteher with some players who now play for Heilbronn, kinda funny to see one of my former teammates in the video, and I've also been coaching the U6 and U9 at my local club for the past five years, here in Baden-Württemberg.
You'll see me at Euro 2040 I guess.
Just here to say that your pronunciation of Michał Probierz was flawless.
Learnt a lot about Freddy Adu from Alfie’s intros 🤣
Is it just coincidence that Tedesco basically only lived in Germany or did he follow his name?
Nominative determinism. 😄
@@soundscape26what a great phrase. You learn something new every day! My last name is Dorman but I haven't been a bouncer yet...there's still time
@@hottakehylas Yes, it's a really curious phenomenon.
Crazy how underrated Rebrov is
Uerdingen mentioned
Tedesco story is inspiring… I am an engineer too that is distracted by football but I never tried to go further.

Alfie and Freddy Adu need to meet. We need to make it happen.
I was just thinking the same
