- Done my first washing machine destruction video a few days ago and this was so entertaining to do! I done the destruction with my brother who I think had just as much fun as me lol, I got this machine to fix but it was the bearings that was gone and these have a sealed tub so i thought this would be more fun that just throwing it away! Sadly didn’t fully finish it but it was just about turning lol, and the machine had now been scarped, I wouldn’t recommend u doing this unless u wear some safety things which I didn’t, u don’t want glass flying at you 😬

It actually lasted longer than I expected!
And at the end, it still technically worked. All it needs is a new door glass, new rubber seal, new drum, new drawer and it would be perfect! (Ok, lots of things).
I’m particularly impressed by the motor handling all those bricks.. just goes to show they actually are stronger than we think!

memer I guess these machines aren’t as bad as I thought they were never actually pretty decent after seeing this video I’m very surprised
I don’t really like them but I was amazed how it dealt with being abused like that lol a lot of machines now would’ve of made it that long

Just a little friendly tip. Never put a washing machine next to a wooden fence. I saw a friends neighbor trying what you did. His fence caught fire as well as his neighbors house. I want you all to be safe,
I’m surprised this Hotpoint survived this test. Wow 😮 how does it live on? It just amazes me that this machine can live on this long.

Yeah.....i'm enjoying this way to much....from time to time i smash up junk someone puts out on the tree lawn...or items from when i used to clean hoarders houses ...but lately i am enjoying seeing working items get ruined.....i think this is insane! Or i am!

If you ever do another one, remove the shocks and wire up the motor directly via a long cable to a variable resistor device and watch that baby dance.
I was going to do it with this one but it’s a brushless motor, hopefully the next one will be a brushed one

How hard is to replace the bearing
Not to hard if u know what you’re doing but this machine has a sealed tub so I was unable to replace them

So you thought you were going to keep it but you're not, you decided to destroy this machine with bricks and other things. This was a good video to watch, I saw the glass being smashed, it looked like the bearings have damaged, I wouldn't want to do this unless I wear safety things, because you have to be careful when doing this.
Yeah I agree, I didn’t really put much thought into doing it it was just a last minute thing before scrapping it, next time I’ll probs just take the glass of and wear glasses :)

Does that have an induction motor in it? How is it controlled? Like is it just plugged in or is the motor directly wired as it’s seems to be an induction motor is it on a vfd?
It is a brushless motor and I don’t know how to wire a speed controller to a motor so I just selected it on a spin

@@Laundrytime1200 This kind of experiment can cause too much stress and strain on the motor, I don't recommend you try this, especially when it comes to belt slipping, which is another thing to avoid.
If you can tell by the sound of the washer the bearings are COLLAPSED ⚠️ and they sound very bad. 1:25

It's not about the weight but the balance, and randomly throwing in lotsa items ironically kept it balanced and thereby prevented its total destruction, and even when it was unbalanced there was too much weight to get it up to speed; it's certainly nothing to do with build quality as some are saying.
