It actually lasted longer than I expected! And at the end, it still technically worked. All it needs is a new door glass, new rubber seal, new drum, new drawer and it would be perfect! (Ok, lots of things). I’m particularly impressed by the motor handling all those bricks.. just goes to show they actually are stronger than we think! It was a great video 👍
I saw quite surprised to! It was when I’d finish videoing I started it back up and she wasn’t to happy lol one of the springs had snapped also, but I’m glad u liked it 😊
Just a little friendly tip. Never put a washing machine next to a wooden fence. I saw a friends neighbor trying what you did. His fence caught fire as well as his neighbors house. I want you all to be safe,
It's not about the weight but the balance, and randomly throwing in lotsa items ironically kept it balanced and thereby prevented its total destruction, and even when it was unbalanced there was too much weight to get it up to speed; it's certainly nothing to do with build quality as some are saying.
Yeah.....i'm enjoying this way to much....from time to time i smash up junk someone puts out on the tree lawn...or items from when i used to clean hoarders houses ...but lately i am enjoying seeing working items get ruined.....i think this is insane! Or i am!
The_vintage_boy34 Still pretty modern looking machine and these machines aren’t that bad to be fair you know they could be better but they’re okay no ware near the quality of the vintage ones
So you thought you were going to keep it but you're not, you decided to destroy this machine with bricks and other things. This was a good video to watch, I saw the glass being smashed, it looked like the bearings have damaged, I wouldn't want to do this unless I wear safety things, because you have to be careful when doing this.
Yeah I agree, I didn’t really put much thought into doing it it was just a last minute thing before scrapping it, next time I’ll probs just take the glass of and wear glasses :)
Does that have an induction motor in it? How is it controlled? Like is it just plugged in or is the motor directly wired as it’s seems to be an induction motor is it on a vfd?
Why won’t you get some cups and some ice cream and milk tape the cups on the top and add ur ingredients in them and seal the cups on the top and u got ur own milk shake maker lmao 🤣
I am really impressed by this machine. It takes a heck of a abuse before it destroyed. This must be what good quality looks like. The boys seems to start getting frustrated because it doesn’t destroy itself! You see, you can’t just turn on the machine and throw a rock into it, and believe you can copy Photonics video, you see it’s more than that
@@Laundrytime1200 This kind of experiment can cause too much stress and strain on the motor, I don't recommend you try this, especially when it comes to belt slipping, which is another thing to avoid.
It’s surprisingly tough for a Hotpoint... I’m amazed😂
that's a good strong machine there, quality's very rare these days!
I was waiting for u to comment lol, I agree I was quite surprised at how it coped with it, the suspension is better than I thought
Hi bootsowen
The_vintage_boy34 Same here I thought these machines were absolute crap
memer I guess these machines aren’t as bad as I thought they were never actually pretty decent after seeing this video I’m very surprised
I don’t really like them but I was amazed how it dealt with being abused like that lol a lot of machines now would’ve of made it that long

This Hotpoint really handled well at it, i was not expecting it to last this long
My neighbor had a hotpoint electronic deluxe 1000 14 years old I repair motor brushes very solid machine
HAHA BLOODY BRILLIANT KAI!! 😂🤣
You’ve been waiting patiently! 😂

I’m surprised this Hotpoint survived this test. Wow 😮 how does it live on? It just amazes me that this machine can live on this long.
I was surprised at how it kept going!
@@the_vintage_boy3453 see, not everything these days are bad quality.

Bootsowen i love your destruction vids
Our washing machine made a pop noise and it went off and not tuning back on its a hoover dynamic next
I’m not bootsowen but thanks, I’m not surprised, those hoovers are rubbish

Wow that’s amazing! Thanks 😆
@@the_vintage_boy3453 Congratulations
Bad Design from hotpoint should kept them simple where you can replace the bearings
Very strong machine. 😀
Wooow that Indeshit is stable :O Im impressed haha
Great video :)
I was expecting it to die straight away lol, and thanks 😊
The bricks actually looks edible to be honest
U broke it lol😅
never seen washing machine so strong :O
well done Hotpoint-Ariston
Yeah it lasted quite a while!
@justaPERSON Unfortunately
@0972q8 no hotpoint is owned by indeshit which is owned by whirlpool
Maybe modern Hotpoints not so bad
This is still about 10 years old

Wow very hard to kill this.😳
It’s not going anywhere anytime soon 😟
What's the max rpm for this machine?
1400
How hard is to replace the bearing
Not to hard if u know what you’re doing but this machine has a sealed tub so I was unable to replace them
The_vintage_boy34 or just do it the Bootsowen way ;)
If you ever do another one, remove the shocks and wire up the motor directly via a long cable to a variable resistor device and watch that baby dance.
I was going to do it with this one but it’s a brushless motor, hopefully the next one will be a brushed one
Why else are you specifically finishing off the washing machine?
Broken bearings
Bearings were shot and it's crap anyway this washer
It sounds like it had a direct drive motor
19:22 is the springs are down
Sounds close like a truck/coach engine
Time to activate your free 5 year parts guarantee!
Great video! :)
Thanks 😊
🤣 that was so funny !
But so long
What do u mean so long?
What is this for a Wash Machine?? And how old is this Machine??
Lmao do one to a scamsung
If I find one I will lol
Does that have an induction motor in it? How is it controlled? Like is it just plugged in or is the motor directly wired as it’s seems to be an induction motor is it on a vfd?
It is a brushless motor and I don’t know how to wire a speed controller to a motor so I just selected it on a spin
Ohh i see
i never expected this on your channel and by the way the machine wasn't really destroyed, or you gonna do part 2 of this?
It was fully gone but it was barely turning, did u read the description? It’s scraped now
i wanna do this one day
It’s a lot of fun lol

Too bad that LG and Samsung doesn't make their machines as strong as Hotpoint. It's too the point that Hotpoint could be compared to Miele.
Hotpoint couldn’t compare to Miele, especially how they’re all setting on fire 🔥

2× on 5:00 10× faster than a bugatti
