Take the supply access panel and cover the supply duct. Run the unit in heat to burn off the heat exchanger. Prevents the customer from complaining, or worse- the fire department showing up.
Based on the boiler rooms I work in I’m almost guaranteed to get wet at some point in my day lol, but that’s true. Being wet on a cold cold rooftop is way worse.
3 hours on a HX swap isn't bad. I had a swap on a Bryant 90%er today (plugged secondary on a 355CAV) that kicked my ass a little bit. You should grab yourself a little ratchet that takes regular ¼" hex bits. Would make that last inducer screw a breeze. Wiha has a nice one. Comes with a short extension, 10-12 bits, and a nice metal case.

Congrats brother! My first piece of advice is going to it with an open mind, it’s gonna be almost impossible to study and prepare for every possible question that they could ask. The best thing you could do is make the greatest first impression you possibly can. Be on time, dress nice, look, the interview were in the eyes and give them a firm handshake. Within the first couple seconds of meeting you, just by the way you present yourself they already know if they wanna hire you or not, if you were in their shoes, would you hire you. They’re probably gonna ask you what type of experience you have, which is just way for them to judge you know where to put you in the beginning so be honest. And at the end they’re definitely going to ask you if you have any questions and the more you ask the more enthusiastic you seem. Ex: “ what does a typical workday look like?” “ if you hired me today, what are some things you’re expecting to see from me within the first weeks, six months and year?” “ What is the best way I can judge my performance?” The last impression is the lasting impression, so end on a high note! Since the age of 7/8 years old, boiler / server rooms have always been the most interesting rooms for me because of all the electronics and machinery.

That top screw, that’s why you always need a stubby. When there isn’t enough space for a full size a stubby screwdriver will always save the day.
