    Wow! Not sure what I would have expected for Greenland. Kangerlussuaq is very rustic. The Tundra Safari was pretty cool.

      I didn’t know what to expect either. The next city is more what imagined Greenland to be like.

      It is a very small town. The next Greenland town we go to is much bigger (like 4500 people). The landscape there is also totally different.

    Hard luck on the seat lottery in the plane, but what an experience in Greenland to make up for it! I visited Nuuk recently but it is fantastic to also see other parts of this magical island. Thanks for making this video!

      Your Nuuk videos were fun to watch. It was nice seeing other areas of Greenland. I think we like Ilulissat the best out of the areas we visited. It is definitely a magical place to visit. I am so glad we had the opportunity to go.

    I used to live there - And its in my honest opinion, a paradise. It has continental climate, so winters gets very cold, and summers can get quite warm. Really only 1 negative thing about Kangerlussuaq, is the massive mosquitoes (which we named The Greenlandic Airforce) during the summer period.

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was such an interesting place. We are so glad that he we were able to go there and see it. We were lucky to be there with no mosquitoes. Love the name “Greenlandic Airforce” it made me laugh!

    Hello… I am recently seeing your videos as I am going to visit next Summer. Is there any place to keep the bag as I have long hour layover there…

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a really small airport (big room). The tour desk is right next to the check-in desk. There’s a lot of people who are just there for a stop over and they get on the next flight. Quite a few people did the muskox/tundra tour during the layover, and I think the tour desk kept their bags.

    • @life_is_exp
      @life_is_exp ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TravelingAtoZ Thank you very much. I am planning to do the muskox/tundra too and ice sheet hike. I am wondering if I take full day Ice sheet hike then is there any possibility to see the muskox? Any Idea? It will be helpful.. :) Thanks!

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@life_is_exp you never know where the muskox are unfortunately. When we went, the muskox were far away and hard to see. We did see the muskox on both tours. If you only have the chance to do one tour, I would do the tour to the glacier because you have a chance of possibly seeing muskox also. The muskox tour heads a different direction than the glacier tour, but they both do go through the tundra.

    its safe walking around? any polar bear or danger animal? i plan transit in there for 24 hours, any tips and trick or thing i should do?

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very safe. No polar bears in this area. If you have a chance depending on your flights you should check out doing a hike on the Greenland ice cap. We camped and hike, but they also had some day tours. Also, make sure to book a reservation for the Restaurant Roklubben for dinner. They had a shuttle included for the dinner.

      @@TravelingAtoZ first i arrived there around 10 am from conpenhagen and second from nuuk arrive there around 1 pm. i just book from hotel for restaurant roklubben for dinner? how much cost for one person eat in there?

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yoenyoen3121 it is pricey. It was about $100 together for my husband and I to eat there and have a glass of wine ( this includes the van transport to the restaurant). We booked the transport to the restaurant when we checked into the hotel.
