My favorite travel bag is hands down the Nomatic 30L travel bag. It’s small enough to use as a personal item but big enough for extended travel. (Plus I love the added organization)

That’s one of the downsides. I would use a carabiner and attach my water bottle to the top handle
The smart lady not hauling around a laptop, I carry a tablet with Bluetooth keyboard, smaller and lighter. Kindle app on tablet.
