It destroyed mine too. We were married for 11 years, took care of my mom for 6 of those years. Once my mom was gone, so was our love. It's just so tragic. I had to give my mom all of my energy and attention and had nothing left for my husband.

That is true though. I took care of my father. He has dementia. He was unable to walk. I had to give him sponge baths. I grew really close to him. When he died, it wrecked me. It's been 3 years and I still deal with the depression. They give you purpose in life. After he passed my wife divorced me.
