    wow wow wow what a great beauty.of all the spots Lofoton does not fail any photographer.It is such a beauty.As i said before the light in Lofoton in Iceland and on Isle of skye is just a class by itself.thanks for additional lessons on google earth and on photographers epehmeris and on photo editing with microsoft composite image and photoshop.It was buy one get three free or for that matter all free for those who see your video.Perhaps if you show how you extract your photos from the drone to the computer it will be very useful.I wish you write a ebook on drone photography one day.best wishes Mads Peter.

    it's great to see someone else using the phantom 3 standard. You have proven to me that you can actually get good results. I really seem to struggle with noise im my images from it.

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noise and magenta cast are terrible on the P3s, but noise is a problem on all 12mp lenses from DJI ;)

      @andydwd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the video quality is wicked. I am just disappointed with the still photos. I have seen some amazing results, yours included, but I just can't seem to get any. I even started thinking there was something wrong with the camera on mine lol. It isn't surprising from such a small sensor and it is a great starting point to learn with. I just need to use mine a lot more.

    awesome vlog and tutorial yet again, and a perfect timing for me as I have just got myself a drone :) I've always been inspired by your aerial photos and videos and it's true that only from up above you can use the whole potential of some places like these bridges. I'm also glad I've been using the same program Image Composite Editor, I really like how easy it is to make great panoramas :) too bad that they don't get the space they deserve when you post them on social medias..

    Hello Mads,i have watched all your Vlogs and loved them all...do you have plans to come to the southern hemisphere at some stage? i live in New-Zealand and i'm sure you and Sophie would find many photo opportunities here.

  • @nickbailey9038
    @nickbailey9038 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great content as usual. Watched this on my way to Northern chile and have invested in a mavic air, so perfect timing... I do lots of panoramic shots (360 virtual tours are my photographic income-stream) and am interested in why you chose auto exposure. I always shoot manual everything to avoid changes across the scene. Also, have you tried bracketing? I'm wondering whether the drone stays still enough to make it work... Final question / thought, have you tried stacking multiple exposures at the same settings to reduce noise from the tiny sensor?

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I choose the auto mode here because I didn't wanted to bother with changing the settings. It's not as easy on the phantom 3 standard as on the mavic. I've tried stacking form the burst mode. It's really good at decreasing noise! I have also tried HDR, but I have yet to try luminosity masks on the AEB mode.

    I really like your videos and explaining. I'm so happy you enjoy your work. Thank you so much.
    Like you say in your video if you use a wide angle lens the background will be quite small. I'm "fighting" on this topic a long time. Did you ever try to take such a scene with a 50mm and take it as a panoramic shot and cover the whole angle like with the 16mm? ... This is my idea for my upcoming 2 month stay in Japan, to solve this problem. Let's see :-)

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I thought about it. I haven't tried it, but it doesn't work as a zoom lens only "zooms". It crops the scene in front of you. It doesn't change the perspective ;)

    • @lucky2watch
      @lucky2watch 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought about a multi Row Pano Shot to cover the same like with the wide angle lens, For sure a single row to not work. ... >Thanks for your answer. Have a good time.

    In Lightroom, have you tried playing with the "Aspect" slider? I find it does a good job at correcting for the squashed look some drone photos have as a result of looking from above. Does that make sense?
