Just done my first off-vehicle DPF flush using Wynns Cleaner. Was a total success using all the info from this channel. Used a Kingbolen K10 for OBD2 work. All worked a treat. Thanks Jimmy
Not a good day for boss man. But better than having another £300 of parts chucked at it and still getting nowhere. Good work Jimmy, solved it again like a boss.
Thanks for making these videos. Highly educational. If only you could add more info about proper readings, like when you said "pressure dif diesel filter" is pretty low. What would be good reading if dpf was in good operation state?
Its funny how many sprinters end up with cracked manifolds and when changing it , inside it looks like a 300 yr old coal fire , carboned up to death , top diag Jimmy 👍
After watching most of your dpf videos , I think I'm almost competent. Where I'm still unsure is the expected pressure readings of different age vehicles . Eg 2011 transit euro5 and say somthing euro 6 like a bmw 4 series 2018 , I know it's going to be different but sometimes is it low because it's new or low because it's broken. Sometimes it seems like a fine line and I'm unable to make fast decisions , parts cannons and forced regens are the fall back , because the boss just wants a job out of it and fast, No acid cleaning equipment here either, I really want to have that as part of our arsenal ,untill then its all forced regens and cracking dpfs. Anyway if it wasnt for you explaining it I'd still be clueless, so thanks for doing what you do 👍
Hi just starting to watch your vlogs on Sprinters. What type of Launch Diagnostic tool is it you use? And is that the best one for a Sprinter? I have a 2015 LWB 313Cdi. Looking forward to catching up and gaining some tips?
A friends sprinter has the following codes PO6411C electrical fault or OC PO47128 exhaust pressure sensor malfunction PO212016 accelerator pedal electrical fault PO60D09 internal control unit fault PO60D00 internal control unit fault Affecting the calc of the accelerator pedal position. Van wont rev, hes tried swapping the accerator pos sensor. Any help is appreciated thanks
Jesus. 653k. How many engines 😂 Probably lasted because that DPF rubbish was drilled 😁😁😁 Had a couple of these in over the last couple of months with low boost. Both twin turbo. First one was the plastic vac pipe to the solenoid at the front left of engine gummed up with something. 2nd one was the vac chamber. Tested vac at the front solenoid and it got there but slowly (30 or 40 seconds) after engine start. Tested at vac chamber input and straight up. Thought another blocked pipe. But no, vac chamber itself must have something like a porcelain filter in it. It had collapsed and was rattling. New chamber cured it. Maybe the porcelain dust and moisture caused the first Spinters pipe to get gummed up. Anyway, one for the future.
@@ORileysAutos Ohh, hahaha. I must admit that number was a bit of a surprise! Either a case of not learning from his mistakes, or the worst possible luck🤔😁
@@Altair885 first engine turbo blew up at 207000miles cheaper to put another engine in with only 10000miles on it that engine lasted for over 440000miles then blew a hole in the side of engine in France!!!! drove down to van in france and fitted new engine it in a layby and drove it back to uk this engine has 85000 miles on it!!! so sort the dpf and inlet manifold out and should be good for a few more miles!!!!!!! love my VAN!!!!!!

650k miles!
These sprinters 07-13 are good for that again!
Shows what correct maintenance can get you! Sprinters always have a place in my heart
Best van out there :)
After this video the owner did say its had 3 new engines 😬
😮❤
@@ORileysAutos ah… shame lol. I’d still take a sprinter over anything. Except the O’rileymobile, of course!

I took your advice stuck my finger up the tail pipe. It came out clean! 60,000 kilometres. Mitsubishi 2022 Triton 4 WD.
Only do this on your own car. Don't go around doing this to a stranger's car.

I do love a Merc Sprinter ,best large vans out there
That generation was great. The newer ones are trash.

Too Low + too low + Finger of Death = New DPF
Alot of Crack going on. You Crack me up.
653 000 miles, wow. Will a transit with a wet belt ever make this mileage?
Yes, but not on it's original engine haha.
@@Jim_M_75 How many engines?
10 wet belts changes and 5k oil changes and you could make it
@@johncoldwell340 That's £15000 just for the wet belt change cost.

I'm suprised of the mileage for a newer sprinter .yeh the older ones no problem
It's had 3 engine replacements
Intake leak is a common problem with these Sprinters!
Anyone else notice the random bolt chillin on top of a bracket 3.14 🤣
Well spotted hawkeye 😂 I had to look back twice to see it 🙈

Oh well, another DPF bites the soot!
Some craic alright 😂
650k......just run in! 😂

Would be my bottom dollar he drives that like a complete tool. I'd be surprised if it's still on its original lump. 🤔
