Having friends in this hobby is what makes it complete. You guys are so lucky to live close enough to each other. I live in an area where model trains are not available, just no interest.
Your Class A is a class act. Fits right in Bob's train world. And being local, I'll take NH anytime especially the DL deisel "The Cranberry" I spotted on the layout. She's a beauty. I missed the bog picking that engine up several years ago. 😆 The layout is spectacular...thank you ! 👍
Very nice layout I like the New Haven Passenger cars, I have always loved their colors. thanks for sharing and Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope your friend is feeling better.
I live in the greater New Haven area, and absolutely love the New Haven Railroad. I have many fond memories of rides to New York city, and just sitting on a fence by the Cedar Hill Freight Yard watching trains coming and going.
That is ONE impressive layout! It looks like you'd need a week to pick out all the details and everything that's on it. Just amazing Oh, and what's that N&W Class A doing up in Hew Haven country? I guess it took a wrong turn out ot Norfolk! Or something.
not critical .. just observation … did not see a presence of “weathering” on any rolling stock or locomotives. the Steam locos make up for that .. fantastic
If you look on the top decks of the cars I brought over (construction vehicle cars) you will see that the wood is weathered. A nice touch if you ask me.. 😎
Here’s a video counting all my steam engines!

Wow what a layout! Very impressive. Some really great shots in this video. Nice work.
It’s a fun layout for sure! Nice that he opened it up to us. Thanks for tuning in Dave 😁
Great the way the flat cars are detailed. EXCEPT .. scrap the SEARCHLIGHT car … thing of a very distant past when almost NONE were used
