Nice video! Some questions: a) Does the sealant have to be the DC 995 silicone sealant? Can it be another highly rated silicone or even polyurethane sealant (e.g. Tower Tech-2, BASF N1? b) Will this film further improve upon glass that's already rated for ballistic and forced entry, e.g. Riot Glass ? Can we apply the film to both sides of said glass to achieve both the mirror tint of the DC995 and its impact resistance? c) Does the sealant work better with certain frame, e.g. PVC vs wood vs metal? d) approx cost per sq ft of the 995 film (8 mil)? Thanks!!!
Thank you for the great video! I have a question, how much would you charge a person for the exact same job? Why don't you use 12mil fil and how much would your charge for the same job if it was 12mil film?
I have a double pane (glass on both sides with Argo within the pane) glass door. My question is ? Should I put the 8mm secure film on the outside glass since that will be the first one to be broken or on the inside pane to prevent entry. It’s a double door French style, with a 12 w x 63 L inches glass
you most certainly can. It’s always best to install security film on the interior portion of the window, however, installing it on both sides with a sealant on the interior is the best route.
It's advisable to let the film undergo the curing process, which differs for each type of film. However, we recommend a minimum of 30 days after installation before considering the process complete.
The caulking-tips i'm using provides the same outcome but does require practice. While this method eliminates the use of tape it does require practice.
Learned something today, thanks!

Thank you. Great video. I'm wondering do you remove the rubber gasket from the door or window frame for residential windows before applying the 995?
Hey Matt could you maybe make a video or short on how you bevel out the paint tool you use to cut the edges?
Absolutely! I’ll do that

Will the Dowsil 995 structural sealant adhere to a vinyl frame house windows?
Thank you for video
Question: when can I do after tint? 2~3days?

Can you use an interior dual reflective film on a window with a clear lo e coating on it?
yes you can use dual reflective on low e coated glass. However i would avoid using them on glass with a low e coating specifically on surface 3.
What caulking tip are you using?
square and rounded pegs.
Show the tip up closer.
why didnt you tape it off like you have before?
The caulking-tips i'm using provides the same outcome but does require practice. While this method eliminates the use of tape it does require practice.
