Great video, i grew up fishing 🎣 that bridge, now Living here on the Emerald Coast, that's one of my favorites to fish when am down south, many of different species to target 🐟🐟, fun fact!! Did you know that the more u walk down that bridge if you look at the plylons on the inside that they have spray painted numbers on them, coming from the south side, i think it starts at 10 and goes up to about 70 or 80s, anyway from the beginning it's sand bottom like a big channel, u get up to the 60s and its a coral reef bottom, that bridge hold monster fish, back in the days i use to see snook over a hundred pounds+. big linesiders ,, many good memories,, anyway when u go back Good Luck 🤞 Out There,,, STAY SAFE GOD BLESS,,,
That bridge is awesome because you never know what you might catch. We rented a house in Marathon and fished off the dock. We caught enough snapper free lining cut bait to feed everyone for a week. The mackerel are biting good at the park right now. Thanks for another fine video.
Awesome video Bush! I can tell you put a lot of work into preparing for this one, good job! Maybe you could negotiate a hitch rack from KBO if you get another collaboration with them, if you have a hitch receiver 😀
Good trip Bush, love that bridge, was just there couple of weeks ago, my spot is set there got many keeper yellowtails big yellow jacks muttons. Let me know next time you go there, I’ll try joining you.
I've never seen or even heard of a chum bag being eaten by a shark haha. Definitely makes sense since the scent is so strong and the bait are around the bag. I've seen sharks near my bag but never actually bit the bag. That was interesting lol. Good video sir. See ya out there. 👏 👏
Hey Bush, glad you made it down to fish again! Long Key definitely has some amazing fishing! Those jacks you were catching were Bar Jacks, a similar species to Yellow Jack but a little smaller and in my opinion taste just as good. Tight Lines! 🎣
just caught a 24" to fork Permit where you were today, also had 2 others break off. Pulling it up hand over hand was tough! I'd post a photo if I could here. Never know what you'll catch on Long Key Bridge.
🌴 well my friend a trip to the keys , I laughed when you were wrestling that chum bag 🤣, you had some good fish on but kept gettiing cut off , you and thonny both get big fish but get bit off , use some thin multi braid beading wire from Walmart it’s in the craft section it’s real small diameter stainless braided plastic coated wire that can be tied I’ve caught 5 ‘ shark on it and it didn’t cut me off a foot or two would keep ya from losing those toothy critters 😄👍🏼
St Croix rod medium fast action on any 3000 size reel make sure it's super light those carbon reels are really good for that, check my description I have plenty other links for you 😀💪
I just looked at where you are since the tide switch. You have to walk another couple hundred yards to the middle to get into the bigger fish you haven't even gotten to the mangrove snapper or the muttons. That bar Jack was delicious eating that's not a Yellow Jack
Look at the map at Big Pine Key there's a bridge that goes to No Name key Epic. No Bridge traffic a handful of people live on no name key tiny Key Deer walking all over the place period great family trip. No Name Pub. Best pizza in the Keys 500 yd from the bridge old wooden bridge Resort is next door
Good Day but ......!!!!, 3 little things you DONT MISS fishing on FL Keys!!!!. 1 NEVER LEAVE A LIFT NET!!! 2 START A WIRE USE ON LEADER, too many cudas overthere 3 Those are "Blue Cibi", little cousin of Yellow Jack a d Creavalle. Also are pretty ñummy!!!!
Been fishing keys and bridges and piers all over FL, chum blocks and bags are not illegal at all. We use them everywhere, never once seen a posted sign saying can't use them, even skyway, with all their rules doesn't say anything about chum, only can't use them on the beaches
Good 😊
That KBO compact e-bike would be perfect for those bridges! 🙌
I'm taking that next trip and searching the whole bridge till I find what I'm looking for 😀💪
That's awesome that you drove down there with your family and get a chance to fish that bridge is epic. Chad gone fishing kills it in the middle
Appreciate you watching next time I'm bringing my e-bike and going all the way in the middle 😀💪
