Well, I know all the corners of Budapest, you would never thought that I know all the corners of downtown Szentendre. During your video I was like, yes, he is on that corner and this corner. Lol. I spent a lot of time in Szentendre, simply because I love it, and so many people from Budapest do so. The town's history goes back to the middle ages, but I would not be surprised if under the buildings are some Roman ruins. I'm not sure if your Hungarian friends have told you, but it was at least my time, a romantic go to town. An easy to trip to take a girlfriend hopping on the HEV and walk to downtown, buy ice cream, watching the Duna flowing then just walk back to HEV and go home. I did this at least 50 times. Love your videos and your passion about our precious country. Thank you so much. Greetings from Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
I adore this video on Szentendre. I love the streets, the restaurants , the people, and if I get a chance may visit with my senior friends someday. The peacefulness is very nice.
This is the first video what I like from Szentendre even it was short, missing important things. Liked him, because he was a simple guy who tried to put lots of effort in it.
Great tour just come back from there and it’s stunning and all I think of is the little streets and main square . The art and the people are amazing . Down by the river is stunning
Please keep in mind that in Hungary if you go into a store or any kind of shop, restaurant etc you always have to say hi. It is considered extremely rude to just walk into a store without greeting even if you don't buy anything.. I'm not trying to be rude to you I just want to help you. Ohh and in Hungary we don't say hogy vagy(how are you) as a greeting. Great videos keep it up ;)
Szentendre -- when you learn to pronounce the letter E without an accent over it, you will know how to pronounce Szentendre. The E is always pronouced the same way, not like English as it's pronounced in this video where each E is pronounced a different way. Hungarian is a phonetic language. Learn the Hungarian alphabet and you'll know how to pronounce each word correctly.
I just noticed your reply. I'll comment occasionally. No charge. :) Appreciating your walks around the city of my birth. Your ramblings are entertaining in a unique way. OK language lesson here: gulyás is the Hungarian (Magyar) word for herder (cowboy). Leves means soup. Gulyás Leves is a meat and vegetable herder soup cooked in a kettle over open fire with an onion and paprika base.
