I like those vid's. 1st I discover trails that I could never ride because I'm so far away. 2nd There is still at least 4ft of snow on the ground here, and I wont get to ride before May. So it's refreshing. 3rd You're a budget minded E-MTB rider, with a BBS02B like I am. Thanks' for the ride man.

awesome riding and awesome looking trails. This is another trail system I keep meaning to hit but too lazy to drive out to, lol.

Thanks bud. It's a fun place to ride and definitely worth the drive. Not much chunky stuff but lots of different level flow trails out there.

I really love your content, especially that you've built your bike from scratch and showed us that a budget bike with good upgraded components can actually tackle some serious trails. Please keep them coming! How do you like that dnm spring shock? do you prefer it over the dnm air shock you previously had? I'm also looking to get the himalo 36 (36mm stanchions) with 160mm travel for my bike. Do you have any idea whether it has the same active travel of the classic 32? (130mm)

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Yeah, I've always believed that components are the thing that holds budget bikes back. And ofcourse there's components out there that maybe budget but probably fit the needs for 90% of the riders. I actually love both the dnm coil and air shock. There's pros and cons to both and each have their use function. The coil is much more responsive and the damper is great since it's a piggy back system but it is heavy. The damper itself weighs in at 460 grams, and that's not counting the spring, which can vary in weight from as little as 240ish grams for a titanium spring to 500+ grams for like a steel fox spring. The airshock is light and has decent dampening and good mid range support but isn't as responsive as the coil. But that's expected when it comes to coil vs air. I haven't had a chance to get a himalo 36 but from what I've seen from the himalo ads is the it has full travel. I recently bought a bolany 34 and it has 115mm out of 120mm which seems to be due to a new damper they used. Additionally, the new damper feels very similar to a rockshox motion control damper. This is kind of important cause the cheap fork manufacturers tend to use the same dampers but have different chasis, with himalo and lanxuanr having the more thicker stanchion wall thickness. So, If the himalo 36 is similar to the bolany 34, then I would expect it to have atleast 150mm of travel.

@@BFBMTb Thanks for all that info! We'll be waiting for a review for that new fork you bought then! I had my eye on the Himalo 36 after reading and watching some reviews here and there, and according to the specs the new forks seem to have metal bushing instead of plastic, damping rods that compress to the end and oil sponges after the seals. Any reason for the switch you made to the Bolany fork from your Himalo? I guess I'll be trying a spring shock first, the Dnm since you recommend it! there's also the FastAce one that has even a bigger piggyback damper but I haven't seen any conclusive reviews on it yet...I also have to ask, why did you go from a160mm fork to a 120mm? did you have trouble with the handling of the bike or the climb? Are you leaning to make it less slack?

@Ali J I still have the himalo 32 160mm. They are actually on my hardtail ebike that my brother uses. I have modified them a little bit and replaced the damper with a suntour epixon damper. They currently have 150mm of full travel with the suntour damper. They are actually really plush. I bought the bolany 34 for a new short travel full suspension bike that im working. The bike is actually done and i managed to get the bike down to 27.8lbs with a dropper post. I'm hoping to get a video of it doing some trail ride soon but it has been raining quite a bit where I'm at. The fastace shock looked interesting and I was going to either go with the fast ace or the dnm but settled on dnm since they have been around for a very long time. Additionally, the fastace coil shock weighed in a bit more compared to the 190mm dnm rcp2 shock.
