The story about how they changed the scene in Jurassic Park is incredible. That scene is iconic, that specific part of that scene, is iconic. The way that he decides to do what Grant is doing but doesn't understand he needs to throw the flare without running was just perfect.
I think it was for this reason that Michael Crichton retconned him from dying at the end of the Jurassic Park novel, to being the main protagonist in his novel's sequel, The Lost World. Jeff Goldblum caused Michael Crichton to retcon his own novel!

My son (who turns 8 in 2 hours) has LOVED Jeff Goldblum since he was about a year old lol he got this Malcolm toy from the first Jurassic Park when he was tiny and it still is his absolute favorite toy and he has wanted to meet him more than anything.
