I’m a VGK fan, so you can shove those four goals… er never mind!!! 🤪🤪🤪 I love what the Sharts are doing. Like Johnny said, they’re still a couple years off, but the future looks BRIGHT in San Jose. Which is great to see. It’s hard hating a team that’s as bad as the Sharts have been….
@@07foxmulder 1. Family 2. Cheap (by Canadian standards) 3. You're on the run and need somewhere to hide out that no one would ever think about looking for you (case in point Nacho in Better Call Saul)
After watching the fifth in a row of your last five posts without even realizing it, I have now subscribed. 😂 I like staying up to date on the league, thanks for your work! San Jose kinda popping up out of the woodwork after last season. 👀
mike grier with one of if not the greatest offseason for a rebuilding team of all time, we could look back on this offseason in 15 years and say this is the greatest offseasons in sporting history
Although I believe the sharks had a good offseason and Grier made good moves and picks, unfortunately that title belongs to the Habs, Kent hughes has absolutely set this team up for the future
It’s going to take years to get that defence to where they can compete for a wildcard spot. Askarov is going to look terrible behind that defence and forward core and ppl will say he’s a bust. This was the worst outcome for him.
Idk about that. I don’t think their defense is as bad as everyone says it is. Also, I think David Quinn’s systems had a lot to due with their weak defense.
...and they should immediately sign him to a 15-year $67.5M contract... maybe put DiPietro on his jersey?...in other words - being touted as the best, doesnt make u the best.. JUST like late round drafts can turn out to b SUPERSTAR goaltender - equally the same, early draft picks can end up being dissapointing or a bust? Only time will tell lol
I have my doubts about this trade. It sounds like askarov is more of a wild man in net. I see high highs and low lows. Without veteran leadership and culture in the dressing room i think there won't be the right group of personalities to settle him down.
The Mcgroarty situation really isnt anything like the gauthier situation, mcgroarty is nhl ready and wanted to play this season, winnipeg refused so he requested a trade, or said he wanted out, idk if he formally requested a trade
McGroarty thinks he is NHL ready. The Jets who were a playoff team thought NOT. McGroarty is a C- skater at best and will turn out to be a bottom feeder. Will certainly be sent to the minors on a decent team but hey we are talking about Pittsburg and Klye Dumbass.
As per Cheveldayoff’s comments after the trade, McGroraty simply stated that he was not going to be signing with the Jets. From the Jet’s perspective that meant you didn’t sign him and he would return to the entry draft after 2 years, the Jet’s would lose their prospect. The alternative was for the Jet’s to trade him and protect their investment. So, okay, McGroarty didn’t formally ask for a trade, but he forced the Jets to trade him. It’s means the same thing.
This is crazy, all this movement in mid August
Friedman and Seravelli said this would happen.
Former shark and fellow countryman Evgeni Nabokov will no doubt bring inspiration to Askarov as he comes in.
Russians just want the money. You want mentorship and inspiration, gotta pay them a lot more for that.
He's our goalie coach! I'm so pumped lol
As a Sharks fan, this offseason is the most excited I’ve been since getting 4 goals on a 5 minute major against Vegas
Fr
I was more hyped for that then the final
i’ll be honest i never really liked the sharks but im very intrigued by their future, slowly liking the team more lol

San Jose really went from cup contender to no future to future dynasty in five years god damn
What about William eklund
Habs v Sharks final is going to be interesting
Sharks fan here but the Habs are my favorite Canadian team. Would love to see that
The disrespect of saying Rask didn’t turnout, cmon guy is one of the best goaltenders in bruins history, robbed of at least two cup chances
Rask was the picture when he said trade. High draft capital was a picture of otter
He illustrated this with DiPietro's pic. Maybe Rask was shown a bit too early.
McGroarty pulled a Lindros on the Jets.
A lot more quietly, less drama, but a Lindros all the same.
his weak skating will be exposed at the next level
@@jbarrett1460True he is slow...but he has one heck of a pro shot.
@@jbarrett1460 Start a new thread. That is irrelevant to my comment.
Can’t blame him. If you’re a pro, why would you want to play in Winnipeg? Come to think of it, why would anyone want to move to there?

"win-win", Nashville signing aged Stammer & Marchessault are all in the next few years. Sharks building for the future, as they should!
The future is teal and Mike Grier is unreal

Mike Grier has always put in the work! As a player and now in his present capacity.

@@thegamingknight8146 Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks.
Ive wanted to see the Sharks get good again since the Owen Nolan days
Montreal and San Jose are both building insane teams
Whatever happens, Askarov is going to be entertaining. Solid move to get butts in seats. As a Pred, sorry to see him go, but we will be just fine :)

Hes only 22 my guy nobody is expecting good numbers from him right now

That my profile guy I LOVE YAROSLAV AS A SKA FAN
All we’re missing is a summer of Top tier FA’s moving to different teams.
Kinda wish he went to MTL but I get them trying to protect the pick in case it turns into McKenna
Can’t wait to see the Sharks and Canadiens duke it out in the cup finals in 2030
Wait, is Mike Grier actually a good GM?
No, he's not.
nice
Sharks got Sam Dickinson but they need more
Sharks are gonna be tough in 4 or 5 years unless they frig it up nice.
man im happy to be sharks fan but sad to see chrona go i thought he was looking good

McGroarty won't do anything for the penguins. Pittsburgh is too old, and they have nothing in the system.
What are the Sharks doing? Grier is a huge disappointment
