Num Troam is the most difficult dessert of all Cambodian dessert, the timing of mixing the sugar & flour has to be exact timing, the measurements of flour, water, coconut & sugar has to be exactly at all time. At this time I’m new on TH-cam, if people can’t make it right they will blame me. Even I know how to make I still crewed up & throw away sometimes. 2021 ok sister!
Maribella Prom hello Borng, I got all ingredients for “Me Siam” except pickle green onion roots, they have at the Asian market, made in Vietnam. I will make myself will take a few days for pickle to be ready to eat.
Vandy So yes you can do it as banh chev, but low heat & cover it. Sometimes my sister cook it that way. I never do with coconut the cake might break if too hard or to soft. The reason I don’t put coconut in the flour is because I prefer to heat shredded coconut. If you want to have coconut in the flour, I will show you how to make num “Tai Lai” soon, it the same taste almost the same ingredients.
