      @@GoTechTraining I don't have a vehicle with wheel censors but I try to help others with their vehicle problems. I'm not sure what running the information coming from the wheel on the the other side of the vehicle into the censor that has a problem is doing? Should the code be off and stay off if the wiring harness is good?

    • @GoTechTraining
      @GoTechTraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's correct MJ, if you have a code for the LF, you run the sensor signal from the RF to the LF harness side and simulate the LF sensor. This confirms the wiring and ABS module are ok. Then you're left with either a bad abs wheel speed senor or bad tone ring.

    3 out of 4 of my ABS sensors are working and all consistent except the left front one. It works but it goes up and down in speed. This is using a good Snap On scanner and monitoring the datastream. I got a new sensor and put it in. It works but the reading from it is even more erratic than the original one.
    There's 16,000 miles on the wheel bearing I changed in that corner. Could it be that the magnetic ring is damaged/defective? I cleaned it as best as I could and cleared the ABS dash warning but it never clears and is constantly there. The scan keeps pointing to the left front sensor. It's frustrating.
    Any input is appreciated, thanks.

      @@Hybrid600 was it a bad stripe on a brand new wheel bearing hub assembly? My abs light has been on for the front right ever since I put a new hub assembly in that side. The female pigtail became disconnected when removing the old one so I didn't know if the light was staying on due to a poor splice job of wires on my part. I've put in a new sensor and spliced in a new pigtail but it still won't clear. I would hate to put in another brand new assembly and the light stays on. I Just need my 4wd to work fml.

I primarily use Identifix and Mitchell ProDemand but info is severely lacking for European cars. It makes diagnosing or even hanging parts difficult at times. I have access to All Data but never use it because I like the layout of the other two sources better.
