Todos estão arrebentado na música, pra mim, uma das melhores músicas de metal .... Ginga brasileira com muito peso e direta sem firulas .... nota 10. Nem os grandes tiveram esta qualidade.....Nesta banda ( que também a minha favorita) está melhorando a cada CD lançado. Pro meu orgulho faz parte do vidro desta música. OBRIGADO SEPULTURA.....

@@themadhi-hatter6849if you haven't checked bands like slaughter to prevail, shadow of intent, kublai khan x, electric callboy, these are some of the bands I know with insane drumming and foot work it's insane. But I absolutely love this guys drumming it's grovey as hell.

This is Derrick's best vocal performance since he's been in Sepultura. Was always a Cavalera fan, but Derek has won me over and has definitely blown anything Max has done recently out of the water. This album is already a contender for album of the year in my opinion. From start to finish it is nonstop balls to the wall.

Sepultura was always better than Max’s stuff once he left with SoulFly and CC. I would say it’s better than Roots by far as well. I just don’t like Max’s stuff post Chaos AD. I never had a attachment to a specific singer though.
SRH I would say give Sepultura with Greene another chance. If you don’t like Nu metal or groove metal at all then you probably won’t like it too much. I’m not a big fan of those genres, but there’s a few albums and bands I like here and there. Like Slayers Diablous in Musica/ God Hates us all, Pantera, Damage Plan, and Sepultura. There’s some creative song writing in Sepultura with Greene. I think his singing is really good. Nation is a fantastic album. Listen to Border wars and really give it a chance. Maybe it will grow on you.
Skyclaw Nation is nothing like a Korn album. It’s more groove metal than nu metal. Roots is nu metal and Nation sounds nothing like it.

I’ve listened to Sepultura since they first came out. Admittedly, I didn’t like the earlier member changes and how the sound came out. HOWEVER, this is good stuff and it feels current and up to date while, I can still hear the Sepultura character in it. Awesome stuff! 🤘😎🤘
You're right. The Cavelera era is deservedly revered, but Sepultura has consistently been putting out challenging new music since then that has continually stretched their boundaries.

Lineup changes for some bands(Like Sepultura) is what keeps the music fresh. This has the SepulSound but sounds fresh and not boring like some bands do after being around for 36 years like Sepultura.

Sepultura com os Cavalera fizeram história assombrando o mundo do metal, o sepultura de hoje é outra banda com som diferente e buscando experimentar em outras áreas e está fazendo um ótimo trabalho, principalmente depois da entrada do Eloy abrindo caminho para inovações ( progressivo e virtuose) que nunca foram características da banda. Acho importantíssimo os caras não terem parado e não terem abandonado o nome, com certeza isso ajudou a não enfraquecer o metal nacional, mesmo que muitos não concordem ou não admitem mas eles se manterem ativos até hoje fazendo turnes, lançando novos álbuns e se arriscando, foi e é importante demais pra gente.

Pues an mejorado, pero no es para tanto, sin max ni Igor ya no es sepultura, ademas el disco es muy bueno innegable, pero en vivo no sera igual, ya que andreas no ah querido incorporar una segunda guitarra, me gusta el trabajo acustico-tribal rescatando un poco parte de sus raíces.
Max e Igor não são mais Sepultura e não o contrário, superem este fato e aproveitem a forma atual que a banda tem. Ponto final.

i think it's not only because max isn't in the band anymore. i love "against" and "dante" way more than "roots" or another albums with max and still think that derrick is way better vocalist than max. the problem is not about name, it's all about music. what sepultura doing today sound very boring and monotonously. not sure about this record but i can't hear difference between "dante" and anything they did after this record. it's all sound like they stuck in their creative process, create same record over and over and they don't know what to do with this.

Honestly I would probably enjoy this band if they would have changed their name. I just can’t support milking a dead horse. They are talented for sure, this is the best this new band has sounded and their new drummer is a beast. But this isn’t Sepultura.

ReprogrammedToHate I try to keep up with as much of the metal community as possible. Sepultura could still suprice me. But this sound as a poor Pantera knockoff. I like more death and thrash elements in my Sepultura.
@@korvkioskshelveteSoulfly is not better. And I USED to have every Soulfly album, except the last one. I sold all my Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy albums. Max just jumps on trends, he always has. I loved Soulfly once, but their early Nu Metal stuff became dated. And their stuff after Conquer just was just repetitive and not interesting, and you could tell Max's vocals aren't what they used to be. Soulfly peaked on Dark Ages. Plus Max's music isn't as thoughtful as Andreas'. Where Andreas takes risks and pushes himself, Max doesn't. I just find everything Max creates becomes dated. It's okay at the time, but it's hard to go back to years later. I can still listen to every album Andreas has made.
I just wanted to say that I heard this today while cycling home from work. One hour of driving in the insane summer heat, 10 cyclists in front of me, 10 in the back, very cramped and small on very small bike pavements. I was banging so hard on this. Expected that Sepultura became like all the other generic metal bands. The insane and fresh and new orchestral pieces between were very refreshing! The last album I fell in love with and knew was Dante XIII. Never thought I'd be a Sepultura fan. This shit rocks!

Downloaded this morning around 5AM. Derrick Greene is my Sepultura frontman.
Glad to read this, mine too. Power, wide voice range and now clean = evolution
I’m glad they kept going after Max’s departure. And yeah they are Sepultura. Not some cover band.
I used to think that Seps should have changed the name way back when but as a looong time fan, I listen to the early albums and then these later albums and the common theme is signature Kisser song writing, leads and tone. He has been the soul of the songwriting since the 80s and things have come full circle where he, Paolo, Derrick and Eloy now strive for progression and technically challenge themselves each album. Quadra has not left my daily play list since it came out. Listen to Guardinas of Earth from 4 min on and hear the Kisser solo - not only is it amazing but the emotion in it and how it matches the song is great songwriting.

@@sneider872 si estamos hablando de los muchachos que en 1989 hicieron aquellos discos en Belo Horizonte donde la bateria sonaba como cajas de zapatos y usaban solo cuatro cuerdas en las guitarras, pues de eso van 30 años y precisamente asi suena: como grabaciones viejas. Esto es fresco, actual y sumamente poderoso. Nos ira mejor cuando vayamos soltando la nostalgia.

This track is insanely good, especially live for the bounce in the mosh. Love the holds on the drums in chorus and works a treat in the mosh. These guys need to keep going forever with this lineup. Guitars and vox are lit!

OK, now this is what I'm talking about! This is POWERFUL. Speaking as one of those who thinks "It ain't the same without Max and Igor," mind you. Derrick sounds like a pissed off monster, here, and this is a Very Good Thing. Eloy is a most capable replacement on the drums as well, and I may have to give this album a listen, now, for it. Well done, fellows...well done.

Quadra is the best album they've written since Derrick came into the band. It's easily one of the best albums in the entire Sepultura catalogue too, it's that good. Killer performances, great production, pummeling heaviness, melodic and atmospheric guitar parts, scorching leads, and roaring vocals - this album has it all. One of the best metal albums released in a long time!

@@willisingo Yeah, new school metal bass kids try wayyy too hard to be lead guitarists. Playing complex lines like Geddy Lee does that actually fit the song is one thing; madly wanking all over the thing and forgetting the bass' function is entirely another. There's nothing wrong with being a bottom dweller.

Obviously the old SEPULTURA with Max is the OLD SEPULTURA, It takes time to warm up to a new singer, but I now enjoy the NEW SEPULTURA. If you can't you need to get over it.
