Awesome! over all very good ideas on how to better pack your stuff in a backpack. I would like to get some opinions about how this pack would work while riding a mountain bike on some moderate off road trails. I'm not a trail runner, but I would like to bike into a campsite sometime.
Poop kit can easily fit in the mesh pocket or the side pockets, you'll want easy access to it anyway. Extra socks.. how many more do you need than one extra pair? Once again, can easily be put pretty much anywhere. Food is a legit concern. They do say that this is designed for 2-3 night trips. It'll fit but the first day will be stuffed depending on how much volume your other gear takes up. Also, the food you choose and how and if you choose to repackage it plays a huge part. This pack is not revolutionary in concept, plenty have and do use 30l(sometimes even less) packs for shorter fastpacking trips.
I want to order this pack, but even for vest style harness, the straps are toooooo wide for people with smaller torsos or women even with average boobage. This is common for all OV packs. They may change the pack size for torso length, but put the same wide, J-style straps on all size packs. Silly. Dysfunctional.
Can you fit a bv 400 or 450 in one of these? Fast packing the Sierras looks fun but just about everywhere requires a cannister these days.
I am also wandering the answer. If it can fit the bv450, I will buy this pack

So when will these actually be available? Would love to give one a try.
We should have more in stock later this month.
No poop kit or extra socks. Also no lunch. I'm interested in the concept, but not sure about being able to fit some necessary items for a weekend trip
Maybe no poop trowel since a lot of Utah requires wag bags now? I know Zion makes you pack out all waste, no trowel usage allowed lol.

No “breakfast item? I would need a little more food than what is represented…, especially if I’m covering long distances.
Looks like there is still room by the cook kit.
looks like be ok for a small body. how about us big men with a pop belly that geting in to backpaking?
This is probably not for you then. The Shadowlight 45 or 60L pack may be more what you need.
A fastpack would probably not be for you. This is designed for runners doing multi day trips.
