  • Thanks for watching! Let me know if you enjoy videos, like this one. I like experimenting this way, and just observing how grass grows, matures, and it's make up. God bless, use the link below if you are interested in this GCI Turf grass blend.

thats 100 percent the Mountain View seed (GCI) Blend TTF roots. ive done the same experiment.. that seed is crazy good

  • @Timbo4413

I didn’t know this was a spreading fescue! Thanks for sharing, I will be trying this out when I over-seed in the fall!

  • @chrisglenn2096

    THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!

  • @alfred1112

I reno with this, and it spreads its beautiful

  • @LewisP86

Cool videol! I may try this with Pete's bermuda seed.

  • @HighDesertLawns

I did (6) 9" pots of TTTF. Used to transplant in bad spots in my yard. When I popped them out, the roots went all the way to the bottom and were bunched up in the spaces in the bottom. And this was only about 2 months worth of growth. I'm gonna try to grow some more in some of those red Solo cups. I think they would be perfect for a spot dug out with a Pro-Plugger.

  • @badhalf

Gave me a great idea... I can basically make my own sod in a tray. I can start it under my grow lights (to void the harsh heat of summer) and patch into my bare spots in the fall weather.

  • @danielcouturier6037

That was a cool video! Those roots are insane. Makes me want to kill my lawn and plant all tttf. Should work well in Michigan this fall. I’d be curious comparing the GCI tttf to the Johnathan green tttf and examining the root growth at 30, 60 and 90 days.

I purchased Spreader Elite a few years ago and haven't had to reseed since then. There are areas that I applied extra seed to fill in bare spots. Those areas are THICK now. If it could spread as fast as Bermuda whoa boy that would be awesome.

I have a 5x15 section that was triple threat plus i mixed the new gci blend in it. It looks good together. With companies constantly changing cultivars its going to be hard to get the same blend each year.

  • @brycecarver991

Put a hose out in one spot and flood the area, you’ll see worms coming to the surface soon trying to get some air.

  • @cameronevans2550

i plant the TTTF a month and half ago and i feel like it is spreading. Just walking around my yard im noticing it in places i know i didnt seed, so it might actully be spreading.

  • @BossMan_Jerm

Do you have issues with bagworms on your arbivitae? I have them all over the place and I lost a green emerald arbivitae to them last season. I just sprayed them with 38 plus, we’ll see if it works (Benson, NC)

  • @charliemedina8439

The worms come out because the wet soil makes it difficult to breathe.

  • @AntoineClaquin-cf2hd

Soil is too saturated and worms trying to escape

  • @stevenforrester4242

I think the worms are escaping the chemicals, fert etc from the ground.

  • @why-be-normal7014

Usually the sound of the rain on cement draws the worms out of the lawn
