Me and my wife just made this today. Labor Day 2022. It turned out great. Better than any restaurant I have bought pulled pork from. Saving those drippings and pouring it on after it was pulled was perfect. Thank You!!
Wow that's awesome you're welcome thank you for the update.
Use mustard instead of oil if you want to coat it for better seasoning adherence.
I do that sometimes. You're right. Thank you
I like to score my fat cap aswell, making one of these right now but I hit in on the smoker for a couple hours way to windy out tho and I can't keep temp 😑 so finishing in the oven
Most definitely used mustard instead of oil
What type of mustard please? Quick I’m heading to shops soon😂
Thanks!
Outstanding video. Thank you for including a list of season ingredients. Again, thank you.
Made this yesterday and wow was it great. The sauce at the end was the trick. Thank you for sharing the recipe
This is what you want a nice and simple video ! Definitely going to try this out today can't wait !
Appreciate you stopping by. Good luck and enjoy
4th time having to make this. Family loves it!!!! thank you
Great recipe, I'll try it soon thank you!
Candy this looks amazing. You are right about the pork drippings for flavor, I like to do that as well, and not add a ton of salt to the pork. Just let the meat do all the talking.
Absolutely sir. Thank you.
Yours looks the best as I was searching for a recipe.❤🎉
This loook great I just so happens to buy the liquid smoke today so doing this tomorrow night !!! Thank you candy
can’t wait to try this today !
That's Carolina style bbq sauce! It's a very common sauce in northeast South Carolina and eastern North Carolina.
Love this video. Very well done and easy to follow with no wasted chatter. Lol. Perfect! I’ll be making this tomorrow and I know it will be wonderful . Thank you!
Awww thank you 😊 good luck with the recipe.
Cooking this tonight! Spice rub is setting right now!
Never done a shoulder before but that looks like money!!! Going to try this tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this!
You're welcome
Tried this tonight Fri January 13, 2023. I didn't have 2 ingredients, or the liquid smoke. But it seriously came out so good :) my husband and I first time making this. Thank you for your recipe 😘
Awesome. I'm glad it turned out great. You honestly just have to season with your favorite seasonings and it would be fine. Thank you for the update.
The best pulled pork recipe I’ve seen! Thanks!
You're welcome. Thank you
Thanks for sharing, I’m going to make it
This looks great! I'm checking recipes for a shoulder today. This is probably the winner
Give it a try and let me know how it turned out. Remember you don't have to have all the ingredients just use your favorite seasonings and make it your own.
Absolutely amazing. Thanks for letting out about this . Recipe.😉
You're welcome
Candy this is recipe is super,Looks So Good Love the way you Seasoning it to perfection🤤❤️❤️🙌🏾Great Recipe As Alway💯💯💯

OMG this looks amazing! Definitely snagging this video/recipe. I have a really nice shoulder I'll be thawing soon and using your recipe. Can't wait to try it. Also going to make your sauce exactly like you instruct. I'll fall back in here and let everyone know how amazing it is once I do this. Thank u! 🤜💗🤛
Update: So I did this recipe, except I used a pork rub that I like. Made the good sauce per your instructions as well. I don't pour any of the greasy drippings back into the meat, though. Just adds too much extra grease for me. MMMM-MMM! Best BBQ I ever made! Absolutely delicious.
Thawing out my pork right now to make this tomorrow! So excited to try it. It looks amazing. I’m going to make the sauce tonight 😊
Awesome. Good luck with the recipe. Let me know how it came out.

@@janetgoltz2391 awesome. You're welcome 😊
Thanks for sharing 🙌🏽

I’ve never made this before. Although I do believe I once saw this chef, I think Emeril, use a pressure cooker as opposed to an oven. Reason is because of cook time.
Looks good. That cole slaw is what gives it that complimenting flavor. Yeah, that drizzle sauce your husband recommended adds flavor. I actually saw an already made pulled pork meal at Costco. Just heat and serve.
Nothing beats homemade! 😃👍🏼
Another Day, Another Meal.

@@candythaglamcook
I dropped the baking tray on my toe.
I used your recipe and added a mesquite marinade with the seasoning. I put it in my roaster from 7am to 3pm and the meat is delicious, tender and bone came right out like you said, so thank you for this recipe
That's awesome, happy it turned out great. You're welcome 😊
Girl oh my gosh that looks good
Thank you ❤
Candy, I am making this today. I started at 9am with rub, into the oven by 10am. Already starting to smell yummy. I am going to try your apple cider vinegar sauce but won’t have the added days to allow it to sit.
Can’t wait for dinner. Thank you for posting and I’ll let you know how it comes out! Very best to you 😊
Hi viki. Sounds awesome hope it turns out great. Will be waiting for the update. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
@@candythaglamcook I cooked until 5pm. My family was clambering to eat. So it wasn’t fall off the bone (my fault) but your rub made it sooo tasty and the meat was still extremely juicy and tender. Loved the recipe (and killer sauce!) will def make this again. Feeds a crowd!
@@vikimoody8783 awesome. Thank you for the update.

This recipe looks awesome! I always do my pork butts on a smoker, but I need an easier way to do this for our upcoming Indy 500 parties, and this seems the perfect way to go! Thanks so much!! New subscriber!
You're welcome. Good luck. Thank you.
Good morning sister 💓. Great show and recipe. You are an awesome cook. Well done ❤❤💯💯💪👍🏽🇬🇾🙏👌

Yummy!
What is complete seasoning? Thx for your recipe.
That looks so yummy and tasty and juicy I'm getting hungry!!!
Thank you
Delicious
This looks amaaazin
Thank you.
This look good mah. I will be trying this real soon.
Awesome thank you.
Looks delicious 😋
Thank you
This looks and I am sure taste great. The only thing that I would not do is add the sweet baby Ray sauce. The sauce you made will give it the added favor that is needed. I recently made a piece of pork and made chopped BBQ. The only difference with you seasoning the pulled pork, I punched holes in the pork and added fresh garlic. I also allowed the season to go through for 2 days. It turned out really tasty. I enjoyed watching your video.
Great idea. I'm sure your way tasted amazing. Will try that next time. Thank you ❤️
Mine is in the oven, thank you.
Could you share the approximate measurements of the marinade mix?
Looks great
Thank you.
Thanks!
You are awesome !
Thank you
A slight variation I do is to finish the meat on the grill.
Edit: I’ll have to try that sauce. It looks good. 👍
Yes the grill would be superb 👌🏾
8 hours at what temperature? And also, what are the amounts of the different seasonings & stuff?
Liquid smoke it the water very cool trick
Looks delicious ☺️
Thank you
This looks delicious and you definitely sold me on this. I would like to make it when our family comes for an outing. What is "complete seasoning"? Does anything in this recipe make it spicy-hot?
Complete seasoning is like all purpose seasoning just a different name look it up on Amazon. And no this recipe isn't spicy.
@@candythaglamcook Thank you Candy.
I was wondering how this might turn out if i tried it in the oven. That looks really good. Do you take the sauce off the heat as soon as it begins to boil? I apologize if you mentioned it. I wasn't able to watch the vid with sound
Let it simmer on Low heat for about 3 to 5 mins
Alright thank you 👍
Is the complete seasoning the "Badia" brand?
Omgeee! Candy 🍭🍬!!!!!!!! I haven't had pulled pork sandwiches 🥪 in a LONG TIME, since I was a kid!!! I forgot about these lol 😂
I'm definitely motivated to add this to my list to make this weekend. I will throughlly follow your instructions 😊 I will follow up with you to Share my family's review ☺️ Thank you Candy!
Hi Karina you're welcome sis thank you for stopping by appreciate it .
Candy,, this looks wonderful, mine is in the oven, and just to irradiate, you mentioned 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 hours. Covered for the first 6 hours and 2 hours uncovered to crisp up the outside. Am I correct?
awesome. I can't remember the temp on this one but 275 sounds great meat will be falling off the bone. Enjoy 😉
How long did you leave in oven?
Whtas the grams and messure of the sugar cider ketchup thing???
Can you tell me what temp for a 10 1/2 pnd
Candy this pork looks wonderful. I'm allergic to it.
I'm so sorry. Thank you ❤
I'm from Serbia. Almost every house smokes meat for winter. We have smoke rooms. One year I remember, 2 days before Christmas I was at my grandad's ranch. He has a big room for meat smokin. And I took a big back leg of pig with skin. Smoked it on oak for two days. And we smoke a meat a littke bit further away from fire. After two days, I baked the leg in oven. The skin was perfect, meat was pink, with taste of smoke. I will never forget that meat 😁
Sounds great.
@@candythaglamcook It was really delicious. 😁 Your recipes are really good. 👍
@@Arkadius87 thank you 😊
U should use mustard as a binder
I’m lazy so make it one of those Dutch oven…. Comes out really good, too. I might try smoking it.
Starting the process right now. Will report back
Instead of adding just water at the bottom of the pan, do you think beer would be a good idea?
Yummm😁🐷 Does anyone know how much of the seasons each, to make the coating of the pulled pork?
All the measurements are listed in the description box hit the title of the video to see it
GREAT
Thank you
Have you ever tried to smoke it first for a few hrs? I am always looking for great ideas to serve my employees but I don’t always have the time to work on it in the morning before work or after the day before. Seems like I could smoke it after work for 3-6hrs then throw it in the electric roaster and when it’s lunch time just shred it up?
Yes I've tried smoking it for about 10 hours same results only difference is it had the smoky flavor. And more charred.
I was meaning just smoking it for a few hers and finished it up in the cooker one the way and at work. Just enough to add the real smoke flavor.
@@joeponder9668 you can try that and see how it turns out. I'm thinking it will be good.
What is a "smokey sweet seasoning rub"?
What is complete seasoning? This looks fantastic!
It's a form of all purpose seasoning. Look it up. The brand is badia
What temperature for 8 hrs? Great video and i’ll def try this Sunday, but if you could put time and temperature in description and at beginning of video would be helpful.
275
Do you cook with the skin Up or down (bottom or top)
Skin up always.
How long in the oven? How much degrees celsius? Thanks!
275 degrees. After 8 hours remove the foil and allow it to get some color she said. If you show the transcript you can go back and see the entire video written out. Hope this helps!
@@darlener.8225 thanks , helps a lot!😊
Hello. Thanks for the video. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm making KETO BBQ pulled pork with stove top mac and cheese for Xmas. I'm definitely going to make that sauce and inject it into the pork instead.
Cook for 8 hours on 275, last 2 hours remove foil for color
Just a tip for the future even if this is a old video, not everyone watching comes from America, specify Fahrenheit instead of Celsius or someone’s (like me 4 minutes ago) is gonna burn his house down
Will keep that I'm mind thank you.
Made this last night and the process is very good. However, the sauce is terrible, unless you like vinegar that tastes like very hot pepper--we tossed it. Cooking time (found elsewhere) is best at 275F, at 1-hour per lb.. Uncover for only the last 30 minutes as 60 minutes makes too thick of a crust.
Of course the sauce will taste like vinegar that's what it's made of. It has to be paired with a sweet bbq sauce to balance it out. But I understand it's not everyone cup of tea and that's OK. My recipes are just guides I advise everyone to make it their own and adjust to their preference.
Nice job bakin' a butt.
When serving a pulled pork sandwich...instead of putting Cole slaw on the sammich, I use dry slaw mix, then add BBQ sauce to the stack. Kind of like putting lettuce then catsup & mustard on a burger.
