Me and my wife just made this today. Labor Day 2022. It turned out great. Better than any restaurant I have bought pulled pork from. Saving those drippings and pouring it on after it was pulled was perfect. Thank You!!
Tried this tonight Fri January 13, 2023. I didn't have 2 ingredients, or the liquid smoke. But it seriously came out so good :) my husband and I first time making this. Thank you for your recipe 😘
I like to score my fat cap aswell, making one of these right now but I hit in on the smoker for a couple hours way to windy out tho and I can't keep temp 😑 so finishing in the oven
I'm making this tomorrow for Father's Day. Can't wait! I've made oven-roasted pork shoulder many times, but I've learned some GREAT tips watching this video! Thank you
Candy this looks amazing. You are right about the pork drippings for flavor, I like to do that as well, and not add a ton of salt to the pork. Just let the meat do all the talking.
I have been using this recipe for a long time now. Thanks for sharing your experience so we can all have amazing fool-proof pulled pork. I am trying the “sauce” for the first time today. Excited! Thanks again friend and I pray you are blessed and well. ♥️
Love this video. Very well done and easy to follow with no wasted chatter. Lol. Perfect! I’ll be making this tomorrow and I know it will be wonderful . Thank you!
Im trying this tomorrow cant wait. I was gunna use my smoker because got family coming from outta starte but its gunna be raining, so cant wait to update you on how it goes!
I made that sauces with the cider vinegar and it was delicious OMG so very good, and when you say leave it alone for awhile you weren’t kidding, I forgot about it in the back of the fridge and pulled it out and omg was so frogmen good, I bottled it and I tell you for now on this sauces is going to be one of the secrets in my salads and slaws I tell you that much, folks make that sauce your not going to regret it
For those that don't want to add oil, you can add other things as a binder, for instance BBQ places tend to use yellow mustard as a binder (some are fancy and use other mustards).
I'm from Serbia. Almost every house smokes meat for winter. We have smoke rooms. One year I remember, 2 days before Christmas I was at my grandad's ranch. He has a big room for meat smokin. And I took a big back leg of pig with skin. Smoked it on oak for two days. And we smoke a meat a littke bit further away from fire. After two days, I baked the leg in oven. The skin was perfect, meat was pink, with taste of smoke. I will never forget that meat 😁
I used your recipe and added a mesquite marinade with the seasoning. I put it in my roaster from 7am to 3pm and the meat is delicious, tender and bone came right out like you said, so thank you for this recipe
Give it a try and let me know how it turned out. Remember you don't have to have all the ingredients just use your favorite seasonings and make it your own.
Candy, I am making this today. I started at 9am with rub, into the oven by 10am. Already starting to smell yummy. I am going to try your apple cider vinegar sauce but won’t have the added days to allow it to sit. Can’t wait for dinner. Thank you for posting and I’ll let you know how it comes out! Very best to you 😊
@@candythaglamcook I cooked until 5pm. My family was clambering to eat. So it wasn’t fall off the bone (my fault) but your rub made it sooo tasty and the meat was still extremely juicy and tender. Loved the recipe (and killer sauce!) will def make this again. Feeds a crowd!
Hey Candy Girl thanks thanks thanks finally I get d original recipe of Egghall I love you Sis you make me sooooo happy I wish I was there to taste it but you always make everything delish . God bless you and yr family stay safe stay bless Sis we love you from Trinidad cant get it any better thankks love love to you and yr channel will grow by leaps and bound God is in charge
I’ve never made this before. Although I do believe I once saw this chef, I think Emeril, use a pressure cooker as opposed to an oven. Reason is because of cook time. Looks good. That cole slaw is what gives it that complimenting flavor. Yeah, that drizzle sauce your husband recommended adds flavor. I actually saw an already made pulled pork meal at Costco. Just heat and serve. Nothing beats homemade! 😃👍🏼 Another Day, Another Meal. What else do We People eat?
Great Video, We are adding yellow mustard to coat the meat and hold the rub seasoning on the pork shoulder. We'll store it overnight for tomorrow's BBQ Gathering.. It should taste awesome. Thanks
Very nice. Very good procedure. I’m a 75 year old retired chef and I always teach procedures. Only thing that troubles me is seeing TH-cam presenters using so many types of seasoning mixes, you can make them yourself and you will be avoiding MSG. Check the labels, it’s in most of them. Great job pork looks beautiful.
OMG this looks amazing! Definitely snagging this video/recipe. I have a really nice shoulder I'll be thawing soon and using your recipe. Can't wait to try it. Also going to make your sauce exactly like you instruct. I'll fall back in here and let everyone know how amazing it is once I do this. Thank u! 🤜💗🤛
Update: So I did this recipe, except I used a pork rub that I like. Made the good sauce per your instructions as well. I don't pour any of the greasy drippings back into the meat, though. Just adds too much extra grease for me. MMMM-MMM! Best BBQ I ever made! Absolutely delicious.
This recipe looks awesome! I always do my pork butts on a smoker, but I need an easier way to do this for our upcoming Indy 500 parties, and this seems the perfect way to go! Thanks so much!! New subscriber!
This looks and I am sure taste great. The only thing that I would not do is add the sweet baby Ray sauce. The sauce you made will give it the added favor that is needed. I recently made a piece of pork and made chopped BBQ. The only difference with you seasoning the pulled pork, I punched holes in the pork and added fresh garlic. I also allowed the season to go through for 2 days. It turned out really tasty. I enjoyed watching your video.
Wow look at that pork shoulder the bone is clean, i love the recipe for that vinegar based sauce, yes the drippings i love to use it back, lovely sandwich
What temperature for 8 hrs? Great video and i’ll def try this Sunday, but if you could put time and temperature in description and at beginning of video would be helpful.
Candy,, this looks wonderful, mine is in the oven, and just to irradiate, you mentioned 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 hours. Covered for the first 6 hours and 2 hours uncovered to crisp up the outside. Am I correct?
275 degrees. After 8 hours remove the foil and allow it to get some color she said. If you show the transcript you can go back and see the entire video written out. Hope this helps!
This looks delicious and you definitely sold me on this. I would like to make it when our family comes for an outing. What is "complete seasoning"? Does anything in this recipe make it spicy-hot?
I was wondering how this might turn out if i tried it in the oven. That looks really good. Do you take the sauce off the heat as soon as it begins to boil? I apologize if you mentioned it. I wasn't able to watch the vid with sound

Awesome. I'm glad it turned out great. You honestly just have to season with your favorite seasonings and it would be fine. Thank you for the update.
4th time having to make this. Family loves it!!!! thank you
Use mustard instead of oil if you want to coat it for better seasoning adherence.
I do that sometimes. You're right. Thank you

U should use mustard as a binder
Oil is better for a neutral binder. Mustard adds flavour
How long did you leave in oven?
275F
6 hrs covered
2 hrs uncovered
Instead of adding just water at the bottom of the pan, do you think beer would be a good idea?
