She grabs Bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with Homa." I can't pull for Homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs Gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
Don't forget that zhongli completely replaces her and that since bennet is almost always in wanderer teams her sustainence has no practicality and only for comfort. The 15% crit rate can instantly be replaced, layla has no actual role and is just a sheild and thats it, every single other sheilder is better and her c4 buffing is garbage for anybody but chasca and in chasca teams she is replaced by ororon,bennet, xiangling. Ppl Overrate her so much when in fact all layla does is provide a sheild.
Layla is a life saver in the Abyss floor 12 when you're new and not expert about every boss attack pattern. She also makes weekly bosses easy. No need to know patterns. Layla is S tier like Zhongli. Waste of DPS, insane quality of life. You only don't use her because you have Zhongli.
Yep, just behind zhongli which makes sense and for people who don't want to pull and waste your hard earned primos (especially if you are a f2p) on shield support 5 stars.
if you're new you're gonna be struggling on doing enough damage which layla doesn't really contribute to,also you can definitely learn pattern with enough tries
shielder are also WAY more valuable for mobile players, which i feel like eakes isn't considering since he's not on mobile. you can take time to learn patterns of enemies and still struggle just because of how much smaller the margin of error is.
Yunjin deserves the niche tier too. At C6, she can be as good if not better than Bennett for Yoimiya, and she isn't locked around circle impact. Can be pretty good with Noelle too.

I'm tired of "team guides" that are just bennet furina + another almost universal buffer/grouper/etc. Like show me some synergies brother. I know it's less damage on a team if you don't have em, but maybe they're on another team.
Yeah all games (specially gacha games) always have those 2 or 3 supports that are so good that you'll always hear about them in guides. One example I can give is FGO where EVERYONE will tell you to use Castoria, Oberon, Koyanskaya of Light or Scathach Skadi (it'll all depend whether you're using a Buster, Arts or Quick dps) It's so annoying that it makes you kinda hate these support characters

I have to disagree with your placement of Layla. Yes, she is "just" the second strongest shield in the game (which can have zero down time), and "just" a cryo sword user, but it appears that you didn't take into account her C4 which boosts the active character's NA/CA damage by 5% of her HP (which can easily exceed 40k), and with her C1, she shares her shield in Co-Op. Having Tenacity on Layla only further increases her team utility.
(spoiler alert for 5.3 character kits, if you dont want to know character's kits until the 5.3 livestream, dont read the comment) in just one version, there will be TWO "cryo" shielders way way better than layla, as both citlali and lanyan are shielders (yes lanyan is anemo but she can infuse her shields with elements so she techically can be a cryo shielder) and they just do a lot of buffing for your damage, with lanyan being a free lantern rite 4* that everyone has access to. So not only shielding isnt really good since furina was added and hp of spiral abyss enemies has been increasing, BUT there already are and will be better shielders than her

As someone who started in February this year and has had zero access to Zhongli thus far, let alone many cryo options, Layla is a great character. Her shield/skill allows for some cryo application. Her burst allows for more. Putting her on Tenacity gives her some utility. She can give energy with a fav sword as well. Her constellations help her damage some, her energy, her buffing and shield uptime and strength further. She has far more upsides than down. She works well with the strongest DPS in the game. So I suppose this tier list is not taking an average player's view, but a top player's view?
Layla will always be goated to me But Citlali is about to power creep her hard. She can wear that new op natlan support set, has a shield too, has weirdly good dmg multipliers and buff em reactions. Layla hasnt got too much time left bros...

@@AlwaysThirstysyou didn't consider her element, a 40 cost burst is so low its not even funny, she can easily apply enough cryo to get melt or freeze, think of any Pyro or hydro character that wants a shield, they can use her. And you can't have 2 zhongli, If you need another shield she is amazing for most characters. Another point is that Thomas elements often holds him back from being In any Pyro dps or dendro reaction team.
in the current meta, healing is a lot more vauleable than shielding thanks to furina, shield's main benefit is the interuption to resistance, but a lot of recent characters either have it build in their kit, have it in their early cons, or destroy everything too quickly to get interupted. So layla as a pure shielder isnt good enough (also spoiler for 5.3, both citlali and lanyan are just way better "cryo" shielders than layla, as citlali offers SOO much buffing on top of giving a shield and some better cryo app than layla, and lanyan can infuse her shield with elements making her technically a cryo shielder in cryo teams and she also shreeds resistances with VV)
@@JustSkii Citlali is a 5 star, thus more limited. And she runs with the Archon, so few people would have her anyway. As for Lanyan, I doubt her shield is gonna be as good as Layla or Kirara. Also, Layla's main strength is that it's easy to build her as a DPS/Shield hybrid with a Cryo Goblet and Harbinger of Dawn. She also buffs a fair amount with Tenacity. She also enables Melt in typical Vape teams due to her somewhat consistent application. Your assessment is correct if you ONLY look at her as a shield bot. She's not.

I'm a Yanfei main and it's crazy to see her so high compared to Layla. Layla is basically a budget replacement for Zhongli and she's so versatile for many teams. Yanfei is only a dps because her shield kinda sucks compared to any other 4 stars shielder and her damage as a dps is not even that high. My girl is paired with Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha with Crimson Witch and Lost Prayer 2k ATK, 80CR and 150 CDMG and she does max 40k/50k
I'm not gonna defend this tierlist at all but Yanfei does also have access to great support weapons, and free one's at that. Layla at best needs Nilou's or Kazuha's weapons to provide any useful support. Shielders do infact need something other than just a shield. It is pretty dumb that a single con turned her into a glorified sheild bot, but also funny considering it was made for herself to keep up dps.
It performed really bad though compared to other teams, and even other Kaveh teams. His BiS is still Nilou, but wherever you put him the team would be better off without him
C6 Gaming is better than many 5* C0s. Maybe not saying much, but I love the guy. I finally started building Collei, and she’s so good. Her front loaded Dendro damage is massive and fast, then get her off the field for someone else. If you don’t have Nahida, Collei works very well. C6 Chev one of the best investments I’ve ever made. She even works on non-overload teams as healer and pyro applicator for Imaginarium Theater when you are short characters.
Problem with gaming is he's kinda c6 locked. 80 crit value is around a 40% increase over c5 which is pretty insane. (He also gets a better AOE) Collei's issue is literally the only team that needs frontloaded dendro is speedrunners and dmc gives more em and application. Chev at c6 is good, but c5 cheveruse is always outclassed by kazuha and xilonen in damage. She is also kinda either all in for c6 or have a good unit at c0.
I like playing a Gaming, Beidou, Fischl and Chevruse team, it's fun and very effective. All are C6 except Fischl is C5. I'll get her C6 in the shop January 1 for sure.
Eakes is just plain wrong about Layla. You can see by looking at the comments. She’s in A tier for abyss. She’s going to do more for people than Ningguang or Dori. And as a defensive utility option for Chasca, Wanderer, or other strong DPS characters, she makes them way more comfortable to play. Yes, she’s weaker than Zhongli, but she’s still the best 4 star shielder and Tenacity still makes her a decent buffer. Along with her cons that buff normals. She also has way more overworld utility than most characters on this list. Shields are one of the most comfortable tools to use in overworld, which makes up a HUGE percentage of your play time. Much more than Abyss. With that in mind, I’d say she goes up there next to thoma in S tier. Both her and Kirara belong there.

Dori is actually good, the problem is that her potential is locked by c6- alot of you guys underrate her because you use support dori instead of c6 dps dori which when used with furina nahida and fishl is comparable to characters like cyno and clorinde.
Man Layla has carried my acc ever since she released. As a charged attack lover, she's a god send. I play her with Lyney, Neuvilette, and sometimes with Navia. I mostly play on mobile so shields feel a little more better but still, she's a great sustain option. Besides, the only people that utilize Diona's em buff are those that do Nuke builds

@AlwaysThirstys well atleast Layla can easily proc TotM while Kirara can just run Deepwood if no one else is using it. Ofcourse Zhongli is better cause he's the geo archon- also, I don't have any plans on pulling Zhongli cause I already have Layla and Kirara and soon to be Lan Yan aswell. Thoma's shield in theory is the 2nd best shield but practically can't reach it withought proper shield stacking. Yes Kirara and Zhongli have better elements but Layla can be slotted into reverse vape teams to allow pyro carries to occasionally melt. I don't wanna drag this further so... Layla = Kirara < Zhongli

Layla is definitely solid character when you have Zhongli, I love using her with Navia for a melt/crystallize team but Navia got newer better characters to work with than Zhongli. Collie and Kirara are definitely underrated characters if we didn't have amazing dendro characters like Nahida and Baizhu we'd see them more. Charlotte is way underrated even I underrated her but I just not a fan of cryo but she, Layla, Kaeya, Rosaria, Wriothesley are my favorites in the cryo line up. (Funny how it's all melt units but I just love Pryo) Why is Yunjin so low (at least niche) she has her usage Clorinde, Yoimiya, Ayato, even Noelle can use her effectively. After making a newer more stricter account 2 year ago I have a much more appreciation for 4 stars that I rarely use on my main account.
15:36 Important to note the atk buff is based on Bennett's BASE attack, which can only be increased by leveling up and the weapon he's holding. I'm a Bennett main and his max base attack at level 90 + aquila favonia is 865, and then a level 13 burst multiplies that by 119%. 18:50 I endorse this statement xD
mika higher than sara is just sad and Layla on the same tier as razor is just criminal, just add more tiers on your list coz you can't just pack some characters on the same tier and call it a day, at the very least split it in half
Sara near useless at c5 and only niche for raiden at c6. Layla is just a shield and some small buffing when characters like thoma, kirara, zhongli provide so much more. Mika is only good because of his teamwide healing, nothing else.
Sara is absolutely worse than Mika. She's completely useless pre C6 and only good with Raiden at C6. While Mika is clearly designed for Eula, he's at least fine in other teams and doesn't require C6.
Something other replies haven't brought up is that C6 Sara... IS bad. She is horrible. Only 6 seconds of full buffing uptime while missing 30% of Bennett's ATK buff ratio, that is ridiculously bad. She's only a decent option for C2 Raiden since C0 Raiden isn't dealing enough damage that Sara can buff . At that point, Fischl's decent off field output + Raiden's weak base damage > Raiden's weak base damage x Sara's weak buffing And the support for Clorinde isn't any better either. Again, it's only 6 seconds and it's only ~80% of her base atk - she ain't buffing as much than literally any other support in the game. As a dedicated buffer for her element, Sara fundamentally fails.
3:33 that's not even true about Lisa. You only have to hold the skill until her inner expanding ring meets the outer ring (or when she gets a Burst of electricity around her) with only takes ~1.9-2.1 seconds, way under half time. It will still deal full damage, generate max particles, etc. Granted she does need a chunk of ER to be a burst bot unfortunately, but so does every other 4 star burst off fielder.
What's great is that, when the game first came out, Bennett was constantly rated C or D tier. People legitimately thought he was bad lol He's been my on-field driver for a 4-star core team consisting of him, Chongyun, and Xingqiu for YEARS. I tried to build several 5 star dps (Keqing, Klee, Xiao, Childe, Ayaka) but they took so much more investment in themselves and in teams that made it so much worse to invest in than just feeding Bennett and Xingqiu. When I got Kazuha to fill out that last slot, it really solidified the team. I picked up Hu Tao and Wriothsley and didn't even really bother trying to build them for the same reason. They needed too much investment and characters I didn't have just to meet my Bennett where he was at years ago. Admittedly, pulling the Pyro archon finally kicked Chongyun off my team. I pulled her and her sig weapon each once and leveled them up, just leveled up with halfway leveled talents and no artifacts, she was pulling more vape damage than my Bennett was melting. So now she's sort of built (okay but not great atifacts) and I managed to pull Citlali as well and she's been easy to build and replaced my Kazuha on the team, though I plan to try using Kazuha instead of Xingqiu, not sure which is really better on that team. But yeah. Bennett is the GOAT for sure... EDIT: And yes, I know that using Xiangling would have given a similar or better result as pyro archon, and yes, I've had C6 Xiangling for years, but I've just never had the urge to build her. I can't say WHY that is; I don't dislike her, she's fun to play... I just liked Bennett being on field. It was fun for him to be able to set up frozen enemies and melt them all on his own while giving himself a huge attack buff and basically immortality. I only even slotted in the pyro archon to try her because I noticed after coming back for Natlan that my team was performing less effectively than it had in the 3.0 and 4.0 zones.
1. I still have to disagree with Yunjin. Even if her buffs are not as big as others...this reasoning is kinda flawed. If you say that all 4 star buff units are D Tier because Benette exists. The Top 5 would make everyone D tier because its not on there level so why use them anyways? For what Yinjin provides she is at between B and A imo. 2. PLAY DPS FARUZAN. Please! She is the most fun Anemo DPS in the game and with C4 Jean she pops off. I even got the Chasca Bow for her. Try it please!
I honestly think Eakes is the most consistent and the most unbiased content creator when it comes to 4 stars. I've never seen this much variety and investment in four stars in most youtubers.
Ok the layla argument is so dumb, u use her with characters that don't want to get interrupted, like lyney or Hutao , where dodging is a massive dps loss. Also if you don't want her to get in the way of reactions why not play her in a team where you want the cryo application like Hutao or Gaming teams. Like again that whole segment is so hard to listen to 💀💀. Also barbara sucks with Furina btw, she has a 80 cost burst and doesn't generate any enery so if you want to use ttds she is a black hole of energy and your furina is fked, or you put her on Fav but now you lost the only reason to use her in Ttds, and if you dont have nilo you have no reason to use her ever and even in Nilou teams she is super replaceable.
Without Layla I'd spend so much time doing on wanderer, everytime he gets hit he loses time, also Layla adds 20 perfect crit dmg to him because she's cryo
hu tao has access to xingqiu who gives her more than enough interruption to resistance, and as for lyney, his main resistance to interruption characters are both 5*s (xilonen and zhongli), but characters like thoma or dehya can still be played with him and generally be better than layla. And healing lately has risen a lot, and is way better than shielding thanks to mainly furina, but also the fact that there is more and more and more hp scallers that arent squishy, and a lot of characters either can easily dodge stuff during their uptime, like arlecchino, or have interuption to resistance in their kit, like mualani. (spoiler alert for 5.3!!!!!!) and to add salt to the wound there is a small little completly free character coming out next patch called lanyan, an anemo shielder, who makes layla pretty much worthless outside of wanderer teams because of VV (and dont get me started on citlali who makes layla worthless in general, as shes just insanely cracked as a cryo shielder)
Xingqiu doesn't give enough resistance to interruption like what, his resistance is worse than Dehya's, there is a reason why she was played with zhongli so much 💀. But thats besides the point, a shield is very valuable to a lot of characters and Layla has the best one among the 4* , healing is only better in furina teams and that's it, like the guy above mentioned characters like Wanderer feel miserable to play without a shield and if you don't have Zhongli she's really valuable. Like are we gonna drag Sucrose down because she's just a worse Kazuha/Xilonen ?. Nevermind the fact that Layla can be better than Zhongli in some comps. Your argument about characters making others worthless is actually worthless.
@felipemendes5336 there is no comp where layla is better than zhongli, even wanderer, who is the only character who makes layla worth using, and he is mid at best, yes as a generic shielder shes more than enough but thats not what anyone needs, thats the main reason shields arent amazing anymore. And also xingqius interruption resistance is easily enough for tao, unless you get hit by literally every heavy attack you see. Also about the healing thing, the actual benefit of healing over shielding is that healers have a lot more supporting capabilities, with the best example being xilonen who gives a lot of healing, a shit ton of buffing AND interruption to resistance with the crystalize shields

Layla is just a sheilder with a small amount of buffing, Dori at c6 is an insane dps character and can compete with 5 stars such as cyno when in a furina team.
As a fellow 4* enjoyer i approve of this list. Small changes i would make: - I think Yun Jin doesn't deserve D-Tier. Is she "the best" in a team? no. But is she "the best f2p / 4* option in a team"? Yeah, in a few teams i would say. She's great for yoimiya. She's great in mono geo. I used a Noelle / Gorou / Jun Yin / Fischl-Team for 36* Abyss a few times already. Not only does she provide her normal attack buff but also geo particles, resonance, her c6 increases normal attack speed (definitely helpful), favge. I would say she's at least B-Tier. - I have only built them to 70 yet so i may not be the best judge but i would bump Xinyan, Ningguang and Dori down one each, but since i havn't build them well or tried them a lot, i'll take the L and assume i might just be wrong here
Diona was my beloved shielder/healer before I got Zhongli. When I first got her, I thought she was an awful DPS. But then I realized that she can shield and heal. I have C6 Dori. When I play her, she feels strong. HOWEVER, she's a Chibi character and if I need her to be the on-field overworld miner, she's the slowest option I have walking-wise. Those short legs are just make her sluggish for exploration. Xiangling is OP damage wise but she needs a lot of Energy Recharge to use her OP Burst. If you build her with a lot of ER, you're nerfing her attack power. This is probably why Raiden National is so OP for her because Raiden help her rebuild her spent energy.
4:11 i might be bias but……….. first the hold takes 2 seconds. You can release it as soon as the inner circle reaches the outer circle shown on the ground. Her constellations fix *MOST* of her problems. The thing with lisa is that fishl exists and to a certain degree Miko. Although, she can work as a fishl driver. She can work as a def shredder with either prototype or hakushin. Pretty decent if you dont have Xilonen for Neuvillette for example. She can hold Thundering fury, Wanderers troupe, Guilded or Emblem. You sort of have to make her work, but she can work hard. People do underestimate her. She has some pretty nice underrated synergies with Neuvillette and tighnari mainly. I am part of that 0.1% that uses her in the abyss hahaha
Finally someone who is not hating on Barbara. And her C6 can literally bring back ur dead character, even in abyss (only every 15 minutes) but its really really useful
As a Main Layla, I had use her in many teams, as a support and as a dps... And I must say, she is better than everyone thinks, why? Well, if you compare to Diona, which is pretty similar, Layla brings a bigger shield, a shield that you can have up all the time even at c0, she may not heal, but that is good in some cases, furthermore she applys a lot, and I mean a lot of cryo with her element skill and her ultimate, the trick is to generate more stars using more elemental skills on your team, for example she is so good in hiperbloom fridge team, example: with yae miko, because yae can use insta 3 elemental skills, ulti and other 3 elemental skills (wich generates more stars) and all of this as you mention, generates more energy for your team, for her damage, yes, you need c6... But she can provides with her c4 a pretty usefull buff to your charge attacks for your team, and since she scales with Hp, her buff is quite nice, the point here is, no, she is not S, but she is A
Candace's best team is supporting Mualani and she's really really good in that team, definitely stronger than some of the characters in solid like Heizou and Ningguang tbh
You're not boring Kachina. Who else can cart around the world and easily go up the side of cliffs as well as Kachina. Let alone easily smaching crystals along the way. Not everyone needs to be Furina levels of broken in Abyss. Kachina has tons of potential in the overworld and is a lot of fun.
I'm a bit upset about Layla's placement (like the others apparently lol) and I felt like you could have said something more about her, like you did with the others, but you did say that it's based on your opinion (rightfully so) and generally speaking I think you really put effort into it and didn't just follow the fandom's stereotypes, you gave us great insights after ACTUALLY playing the characters and you even suggested to use characters that are usually underrated by saying what they're good at, I especially appreciated what you said about Rosaria, her reverse melt team sounds pretty fun and I'm thinking of building her :D
Crazy that they made a couple of the starting characters so powerful. I just started the game a couple days ago on Xbox and I have the first the S Chars and the traveler as a place holder as my main team. Had no idea they were going to be some of the best to grow with me.
This is Gaming slander. Gaming does good even without Bennett and Kazuha (don't have/will never have Furina, idk about Xianyun). Gaming overload does so well, as well as vape and burn. My first 100k+ was Chevi overload on Hydro Tulpa (C6 Gaming + Yae Miko + a mid C6 Chevi + C0 Fischl). I use him as a burst dps with how much ER I have built. He bursts as soon as the 1st burst is done. He's amazing.
not to even mention is absolutely game breaking melt teams with rosaria, diona or sucrose. C6 gaming does not need to have many steps to get to his final form he has a lot easy out of the box teams. He's amazing
I wish kaveh was just designed as a nilou constelation like shenhe is for ayaka. Instead, they tried to make him a 4 star budget nilou, and it just failed.
More to add with Chevy is that she also adds elemental damage boost, and res shred equivalent to kazuha, effectively replacing bennett, kazuha and xilonen
34:30 I use Yunjin all the time and I think you are downplaying Yunjin too much. Energy is literally never been a problem for me. Just give her a favonius lance and focus on building crit rate, def and ER. Since she only needs these stats to perfom at max when you max her out, she doesn't struggle with energy anymore. She is not that niche as people think. You can use her with Arlechino, Clorinde, Wriothesley, Noelle, Ayato, Mualani, Kinich, as well. Fun fact: C6 Yunjin buffs Yoimiya more than C6 Bennett There is no way she should be in the same tier as Amber.
I don't even use Fav Lance because my Yun Jin has non existent CR. Prototype gives more ER, so that would be better if you just care about the damage buffing. I'd bring Yun Jin up maybe at the bottom of niche tier because unfortunately adding normal attack damage is all she does. However, I wouldn't consider her in same tier as Amber or Kaveh.
3:34 the amount of people who still don't realize you only need to hold Lisa's skill for 1.9 seconds. It activates automatically after 4, but that doesn't mean it does anything extra. A lot of abilities let you hold them for a while but eventually just shoot off, so I dunno why for Lisa specifically people think that means you HAVE to hold until it goes off on its own.
Slight correction on Lisa: while holding her skill for the max duration does take quite a long time (something like the 4-5 seconds you said I think), you only need to wait about 2 seconds to release it: wait until the inner ring around her meets the outer ring. This makes her hold E a lot more practical to use to help with her energy needs. A 2 second cast time still isn't ideal but it's manageable. I hope this helps if/when you use her in the future!
Yun Jin in d is wild, especially with characters like Clorinde, Arlecchino, and Mualani who all have much higher scalings than prior normal attacking dps's. I still probably would put her any higher than Niche tier but no way is she with Kaveh and Amber
I think Sucrose is really good in terms of vv uptime, but the reason people don't use her is because she has to tank hits during her long skill animation. It's a bit like using klee. You need to either kill or stagger an enemy before they kill you. On teams that use xinqiu, who has high poise damage(Zajef take I know), her downsides are mostly covered.
Have you seen speedruns of teams that use sucrose? She doesn't have field time cuz once she starts the animation for her skill, she can dash cancel that and the skill still continues. You can do the booking method to remove character swap cooldowns. So in fact, she has THE fastest VV applicator. It's not even close. Usage rates are just determined by how easy a character is to use on the most content. Or characters that give the least stress with the biggest benefit.
Also her swirling is like wierd. Sometimes she swirls nothing sometimes a random element which u do not want to swirl. Tldr she's a little clunky or else Kazuha and Sucrose literally has no difference except for the swirling and better grouping.
@Kai-Hiwatari from what my friends who use sucrose tell me, it's the fact that you need to dash cancel that makes her less brain dead than kazuha because you can get hit. But yeah I haven't kept up with speedrunning so idk
Appreciate the updated list. I just hit AR58 and have been going back and cleaning up some of my old builds and deciding which 4 stars to level up to 90 and upgrade artifacts.
I heavily doubt gaming needs any high investment teams at all. In fact I believe you could just put your yanfei's crimson artifact set on him and he will pop off. I am biased cus I'm a gaming main but with kazuha Bennett and xingqiu he still regularly does 150k. Anyway great video eaky boy keep it going
One of my favorite teams to play to this day is Rosaria main Cryo DPS with Chongyun's Cryo infusion. Add a Xinqiu and barbara for permanent freeze. Rosaria just feels so damn smooth to play, very fluid!
I like the tier list. One suggestion is to make niche separate from Aight. Because Gorou is the definition of Niche. As are the rest of specialized one good team supports.
Layla is better than Diona, nuff said. Literally one of the better Nevuillete teammates. One of the strongest shields, permanent uptime on said shields, she has GREAT cryo application, her entire kit is cryo homing missles.
I started at the end of 4.6 so i dont have many five stars and most of my four stars are C0 so your videos have really helped me learn more about their potential and I've come to really appreciate them 😄 It's really such a shame with Kaveh, we have very few sources of off field dendro application so he could've done that but nah, another on field DPS it is 😵💫 He's one of my favorite designs and characters I wish i could make him viable
There are some folks starting to play around with Shatter Bloom teams with him and having some decent results. I saw a Bilibili video of a CN player absolutely dominating the Magu Kenki trio from the recent event with him in what looked like a Shatter Bloom-ish type team
Technically, now that shater has been buffed, Razor or Kaveh shatterbloom would be their best team and it is very solid. Not meta by any means, but still pretty good

I've tested both of them quite a bit and I don't see how. It's not much worse, but it is worse than their best teams. It also makes team ER requirements very high when they really need extra sub-DPS damage
You should do a 36 Star challenge where you can only use characters A tier and below. And maybe to give yourself a chance, you get 1 A tier or below 5*

They really did Amber dirty... The cherry on the top is that to detonate Baron Bunny for 200% extra damage you have to shoot it IN THE FOOT??? WHY? It's not like she'd be anywhere near OP if hitting the BB anywhere would suffice, it still has to be a fully charged shot.
Wow I did not know Layla had such a strong following looking at the comments section in here lol. My problem with her has always been that she doesn't apply *enough* cryo to really be useful for melt or whatever (she is decent in mono cryo, but that's more of a meme than anything). Secondly her shield, while 100% uptime, has too short of a duration. This is kind of a problem for all shielders tho, except Zhongli. 12 seconds is the same as Diona and she heals and has a massive EM buff at c6, sure she has 3 sec of downtime without sac but her kit is just more stacked honestly. I think the placement is pretty fair. Maybe Razor, Chungus and Lynnette need to be below her tho.
Layla applies just enough Cryo for some team comps. Namely the Nahida, Diluc, Layla and Barbara team which allows Diluc to trigger Burning, Melt and Vaporize. It does require C4 Layla but it's a pretty fun team regardless.
@@EinTheEin Issue is that layla herself isn't good enough, you would rather replace layla with someone else like diona due to more buffing and already having a sustain. Adding on c4 layla is very bad, the only character who benefits from it is chasca because all her damage is fired instantly therefore getting all the buffs. For other characters it's like a 2%-5% dmg increase.
Justice for Kaveh! Shatterbloom with Layla, yelan, xingqiu/kaeya. Very fun even if the swapping is very time sensitive and the energy issues are a bit crippling. I’m coping but Kaveh best boi forever
40:30 ...This is beyond stupid. Girl, gaming is good in Rosaria Diona Melt in which C6 Bennett does NOTHING. He can enable Marechoussee for himself so Furina isn't mandatory, yes she's the comfiest but Xingqiu is perfectly serviceable. He doesn't need Xianyun AT ALL! Xianyun is only good of you have C6 Bennett and you want to add normal infused plunge attacks into his combos. Kazuha and Xilonen will be more than enough for him. He's a top tier 4 star and there is no arguing about it. Beidou wishes she was this good.
I feel like Amber is a slight bit underrated. She is almost never part of an optimal team, but a lot of characters, who are on paper more powerful than her aren't either. She can apply some of the fastest pyro in the game with her burst and she's a bow character for ruin drakes and aeonblight. I think if you have a solid 3 unit core, she can perform more roles, than most other characters.
"Lisa is hard to build" - Lisa as support is ok with TotM +0 with TTDS and ER stretched; Lisa as DD/driver is ok with 2+2 EM, she will erase everything with the overload

Kaveh at d is diabolical honesty😭 ik im prob a bit biased since im a kaveh main but he’s genuinely so good at also f2p friendly. I use him in a team with yaoyao yelan and xinqiu and they let me clear floor 12. D is very low for him and just cause he dont work with nilou dont mean he bad ppl who dont have nilou can use him. Hes not the best ofc but i think A is good for him. D is jusy actually diabolical he is NOT on the same lvl as amber for example.
Ningguang is one of those characters that have gotten better with time. With new artifact sets like Nighttime Whispers and new units coming out like Xilonen, she's been getting a lot of good boosts to her damage. Could it be netter yes but hey, she can be a TURRET if you get down her playstyle. Solid is definitely her best place, considering she had to climb from bottom tier. Hopefully one day ge truly necomes the geo damage queen.
I like her in like a double geo quickstep with Navia. You are always swapping between them and making crystallize and hitting with hard skills and bursts, while having room for 2 more characters. Easily use Bennett and Furina for max boosting. Ninnguang can also use prototype amber if your Bennett doesn't have enough healing
Ororon provides 40 percent team DMG bonus and 30 percent attack while doing fiscl level subdps DMG in aoe scenarios and making overworld travelling easy, he's easy s tier
I was going to complain about Faruzan's placement, but I watched until the end. If you deleted Xiao, Wanderer, and Heizou, Anemo teams would still be stronger than if you deleted just Faruzan. Apart from that, my only complaints are that Yanfei is ranked too high and Bennett is ranked too low.

I remember that on Week 1 of Genshin, content creators were saying Bennet is a D rank character since you can't heal to max HP, his skill throws you off if you hold it, etc. LMAO how wrong they were. I was F2P and I got very lucky to get him at C1 in my Day 1 together with Xingqui in the Beginner banner and the two of them carried me even until now to 36 stars abyss every single time.
About Faruzan, have you tried using her as a Main DPS? Like, one team I liked was Faruzan C6 on VV with DPS build, Fischl, Sigewinne and Furina. It's very fun, honestly!
I love DPS Faruzan, just buff your own anemo. I've run her with Furina, Jean, and Lynette as a near mono anemo I've run her with Bennett and Furina and whoever else as a hyper carry I've run her with double cryo as a freeze like team, furina as the hydro to freeze while you blast everyone You can use her with electro and dendro and aggravate while you pump out heavy anemo damage. So so so fun to play too

Beidou and Ningguang, if made today, definetly wouldn't be 4 stars (nor should they). Both girls are so proheminent in the history-line and plot development progression that in my honest opnion, they should be from the standand banner to begin with... Cuz although both are being kept from relevance for their personal numbers one doesn't even have a normal attack string to combo with hers, up to this day, unique catalyst geo attacks while the pirate girl if were to be, let's say, our free T5 banner from inazuma (which makes much more sense btw) this "upgraded" tier would justify her numbers being higher therefore standout performance/playstyle. - This is not favoritism or my personal liking, it's just coheesive narrative and gameplay.

Don't forget that zhongli completely replaces her and that since bennet is almost always in wanderer teams her sustainence has no practicality and only for comfort. The 15% crit rate can instantly be replaced, layla has no actual role and is just a sheild and thats it, every single other sheilder is better and her c4 buffing is garbage for anybody but chasca and in chasca teams she is replaced by ororon,bennet, xiangling. Ppl Overrate her so much when in fact all layla does is provide a sheild.
Layla is a life saver in the Abyss floor 12 when you're new and not expert about every boss attack pattern.

Yunjin deserves the niche tier too. At C6, she can be as good if not better than Bennett for Yoimiya, and she isn't locked around circle impact. Can be pretty good with Noelle too.

One example I can give is FGO where EVERYONE will tell you to use Castoria, Oberon, Koyanskaya of Light or Scathach Skadi (it'll all depend whether you're using a Buster, Arts or Quick dps)

I have to disagree with your placement of Layla.
Yes, she is "just" the second strongest shield in the game (which can have zero down time), and "just" a cryo sword user, but it appears that you didn't take into account her C4 which boosts the active character's NA/CA damage by 5% of her HP (which can easily exceed 40k), and with her C1, she shares her shield in Co-Op.
Having Tenacity on Layla only further increases her team utility.
(spoiler alert for 5.3 character kits, if you dont want to know character's kits until the 5.3 livestream, dont read the comment)
in just one version, there will be TWO "cryo" shielders way way better than layla, as both citlali and lanyan are shielders (yes lanyan is anemo but she can infuse her shields with elements so she techically can be a cryo shielder) and they just do a lot of buffing for your damage, with lanyan being a free lantern rite 4* that everyone has access to.
So not only shielding isnt really good since furina was added and hp of spiral abyss enemies has been increasing, BUT there already are and will be better shielders than her

As someone who started in February this year and has had zero access to Zhongli thus far, let alone many cryo options, Layla is a great character.
Her shield/skill allows for some cryo application. Her burst allows for more. Putting her on Tenacity gives her some utility. She can give energy with a fav sword as well.
Her constellations help her damage some, her energy, her buffing and shield uptime and strength further.
She has far more upsides than down. She works well with the strongest DPS in the game.
So I suppose this tier list is not taking an average player's view, but a top player's view?

@@AlwaysThirstysyou didn't consider her element, a 40 cost burst is so low its not even funny, she can easily apply enough cryo to get melt or freeze, think of any Pyro or hydro character that wants a shield, they can use her. And you can't have 2 zhongli, If you need another shield she is amazing for most characters. Another point is that Thomas elements often holds him back from being In any Pyro dps or dendro reaction team.
The main problem i have with Layla is that her shield uptime & scalings should've been higher.

in the current meta, healing is a lot more vauleable than shielding thanks to furina, shield's main benefit is the interuption to resistance, but a lot of recent characters either have it build in their kit, have it in their early cons, or destroy everything too quickly to get interupted. So layla as a pure shielder isnt good enough
(also spoiler for 5.3, both citlali and lanyan are just way better "cryo" shielders than layla, as citlali offers SOO much buffing on top of giving a shield and some better cryo app than layla, and lanyan can infuse her shield with elements making her technically a cryo shielder in cryo teams and she also shreeds resistances with VV)

Also, Layla's main strength is that it's easy to build her as a DPS/Shield hybrid with a Cryo Goblet and Harbinger of Dawn. She also buffs a fair amount with Tenacity. She also enables Melt in typical Vape teams due to her somewhat consistent application. Your assessment is correct if you ONLY look at her as a shield bot. She's not.

I'm a Yanfei main and it's crazy to see her so high compared to Layla. Layla is basically a budget replacement for Zhongli and she's so versatile for many teams. Yanfei is only a dps because her shield kinda sucks compared to any other 4 stars shielder and her damage as a dps is not even that high. My girl is paired with Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha with Crimson Witch and Lost Prayer 2k ATK, 80CR and 150 CDMG and she does max 40k/50k

I'm not gonna defend this tierlist at all but Yanfei does also have access to great support weapons, and free one's at that. Layla at best needs Nilou's or Kazuha's weapons to provide any useful support. Shielders do infact need something other than just a shield.

C6 Gaming is better than many 5* C0s. Maybe not saying much, but I love the guy.
I finally started building Collei, and she’s so good. Her front loaded Dendro damage is massive and fast, then get her off the field for someone else. If you don’t have Nahida, Collei works very well.
C6 Chev one of the best investments I’ve ever made. She even works on non-overload teams as healer and pyro applicator for Imaginarium Theater when you are short characters.
Problem with gaming is he's kinda c6 locked. 80 crit value is around a 40% increase over c5 which is pretty insane. (He also gets a better AOE)
Collei's issue is literally the only team that needs frontloaded dendro is speedrunners and dmc gives more em and application.
Chev at c6 is good, but c5 cheveruse is always outclassed by kazuha and xilonen in damage. She is also kinda either all in for c6 or have a good unit at c0.

Eakes is just plain wrong about Layla. You can see by looking at the comments. She’s in A tier for abyss. She’s going to do more for people than Ningguang or Dori. And as a defensive utility option for Chasca, Wanderer, or other strong DPS characters, she makes them way more comfortable to play. Yes, she’s weaker than Zhongli, but she’s still the best 4 star shielder and Tenacity still makes her a decent buffer. Along with her cons that buff normals. She also has way more overworld utility than most characters on this list. Shields are one of the most comfortable tools to use in overworld, which makes up a HUGE percentage of your play time. Much more than Abyss. With that in mind, I’d say she goes up there next to thoma in S tier. Both her and Kirara belong there.

Dori is actually good, the problem is that her potential is locked by c6- alot of you guys underrate her because you use support dori instead of c6 dps dori which when used with furina nahida and fishl is comparable to characters like cyno and clorinde.

Man Layla has carried my acc ever since she released. As a charged attack lover, she's a god send. I play her with Lyney, Neuvilette, and sometimes with Navia. I mostly play on mobile so shields feel a little more better but still, she's a great sustain option. Besides, the only people that utilize Diona's em buff are those that do Nuke builds

@AlwaysThirstys well atleast Layla can easily proc TotM while Kirara can just run Deepwood if no one else is using it. Ofcourse Zhongli is better cause he's the geo archon- also, I don't have any plans on pulling Zhongli cause I already have Layla and Kirara and soon to be Lan Yan aswell. Thoma's shield in theory is the 2nd best shield but practically can't reach it withought proper shield stacking. Yes Kirara and Zhongli have better elements but Layla can be slotted into reverse vape teams to allow pyro carries to occasionally melt. I don't wanna drag this further so... Layla = Kirara < Zhongli

Layla is definitely solid character when you have Zhongli, I love using her with Navia for a melt/crystallize team but Navia got newer better characters to work with than Zhongli.
Collie and Kirara are definitely underrated characters if we didn't have amazing dendro characters like Nahida and Baizhu we'd see them more.
Charlotte is way underrated even I underrated her but I just not a fan of cryo but she, Layla, Kaeya, Rosaria, Wriothesley are my favorites in the cryo line up. (Funny how it's all melt units but I just love Pryo)
Why is Yunjin so low (at least niche) she has her usage Clorinde, Yoimiya, Ayato, even Noelle can use her effectively.
After making a newer more stricter account 2 year ago I have a much more appreciation for 4 stars that I rarely use on my main account.
15:36 Important to note the atk buff is based on Bennett's BASE attack, which can only be increased by leveling up and the weapon he's holding. I'm a Bennett main and his max base attack at level 90 + aquila favonia is 865, and then a level 13 burst multiplies that by 119%.

mika higher than sara is just sad and Layla on the same tier as razor is just criminal, just add more tiers on your list coz you can't just pack some characters on the same tier and call it a day, at the very least split it in half
Sara near useless at c5 and only niche for raiden at c6. Layla is just a shield and some small buffing when characters like thoma, kirara, zhongli provide so much more.
Mika is only good because of his teamwide healing, nothing else.
Sara is absolutely worse than Mika. She's completely useless pre C6 and only good with Raiden at C6. While Mika is clearly designed for Eula, he's at least fine in other teams and doesn't require C6.
Something other replies haven't brought up is that C6 Sara... IS bad. She is horrible. Only 6 seconds of full buffing uptime while missing 30% of Bennett's ATK buff ratio, that is ridiculously bad. She's only a decent option for C2 Raiden since C0 Raiden isn't dealing enough damage that Sara can buff . At that point, Fischl's decent off field output + Raiden's weak base damage > Raiden's weak base damage x Sara's weak buffing
And the support for Clorinde isn't any better either. Again, it's only 6 seconds and it's only ~80% of her base atk - she ain't buffing as much than literally any other support in the game. As a dedicated buffer for her element, Sara fundamentally fails.
I think you're way too harsh on Yunjin... Her use-cases are niche, but putting her next to Amber and Kaveh (who is downright unusable) is just crazy.

3:33 that's not even true about Lisa. You only have to hold the skill until her inner expanding ring meets the outer ring (or when she gets a Burst of electricity around her) with only takes ~1.9-2.1 seconds, way under half time. It will still deal full damage, generate max particles, etc.
Granted she does need a chunk of ER to be a burst bot unfortunately, but so does every other 4 star burst off fielder.
This list (and some testing) made me realize how hard my team cores were carrying Kaveh and Freminet, and how little they contribute in them
What's great is that, when the game first came out, Bennett was constantly rated C or D tier. People legitimately thought he was bad lol
He's been my on-field driver for a 4-star core team consisting of him, Chongyun, and Xingqiu for YEARS. I tried to build several 5 star dps (Keqing, Klee, Xiao, Childe, Ayaka) but they took so much more investment in themselves and in teams that made it so much worse to invest in than just feeding Bennett and Xingqiu. When I got Kazuha to fill out that last slot, it really solidified the team. I picked up Hu Tao and Wriothsley and didn't even really bother trying to build them for the same reason. They needed too much investment and characters I didn't have just to meet my Bennett where he was at years ago.
Admittedly, pulling the Pyro archon finally kicked Chongyun off my team. I pulled her and her sig weapon each once and leveled them up, just leveled up with halfway leveled talents and no artifacts, she was pulling more vape damage than my Bennett was melting. So now she's sort of built (okay but not great atifacts) and I managed to pull Citlali as well and she's been easy to build and replaced my Kazuha on the team, though I plan to try using Kazuha instead of Xingqiu, not sure which is really better on that team.
But yeah. Bennett is the GOAT for sure...
EDIT: And yes, I know that using Xiangling would have given a similar or better result as pyro archon, and yes, I've had C6 Xiangling for years, but I've just never had the urge to build her. I can't say WHY that is; I don't dislike her, she's fun to play... I just liked Bennett being on field. It was fun for him to be able to set up frozen enemies and melt them all on his own while giving himself a huge attack buff and basically immortality. I only even slotted in the pyro archon to try her because I noticed after coming back for Natlan that my team was performing less effectively than it had in the 3.0 and 4.0 zones.

Ok the layla argument is so dumb, u use her with characters that don't want to get interrupted, like lyney or Hutao , where dodging is a massive dps loss. Also if you don't want her to get in the way of reactions why not play her in a team where you want the cryo application like Hutao or Gaming teams. Also barbara sucks with Furina btw, she has a 80 cost burst and doesn't generate any enery so if you want to use ttds she is a black hole of energy and your furina is fked, or you put her on Fav but now you lost the only reason to use her in Ttds, and if you dont have nilo you have no reason to use her ever and even in Nilou teams she is super replaceable.
Without Layla I'd spend so much time doing on wanderer, everytime he gets hit he loses time, also Layla adds 20 perfect crit dmg to him because she's cryo
hu tao has access to xingqiu who gives her more than enough interruption to resistance, and as for lyney, his main resistance to interruption characters are both 5*s (xilonen and zhongli), but characters like thoma or dehya can still be played with him and generally be better than layla. And healing lately has risen a lot, and is way better than shielding thanks to mainly furina, but also the fact that there is more and more and more hp scallers that arent squishy, and a lot of characters either can easily dodge stuff during their uptime, like arlecchino, or have interuption to resistance in their kit, like mualani.
(spoiler alert for 5.3!!!!!!) and to add salt to the wound there is a small little completly free character coming out next patch called lanyan, an anemo shielder, who makes layla pretty much worthless outside of wanderer teams because of VV (and dont get me started on citlali who makes layla worthless in general, as shes just insanely cracked as a cryo shielder)
Xingqiu doesn't give enough resistance to interruption like what, his resistance is worse than Dehya's, there is a reason why she was played with zhongli so much 💀. But thats besides the point, a shield is very valuable to a lot of characters and Layla has the best one among the 4* , healing is only better in furina teams and that's it, like the guy above mentioned characters like Wanderer feel miserable to play without a shield and if you don't have Zhongli she's really valuable.

And also xingqius interruption resistance is easily enough for tao, unless you get hit by literally every heavy attack you see. Also about the healing thing, the actual benefit of healing over shielding is that healers have a lot more supporting capabilities, with the best example being xilonen who gives a lot of healing, a shit ton of buffing AND interruption to resistance with the crystalize shields

As a fellow 4* enjoyer i approve of this list. Small changes i would make:
- I think Yun Jin doesn't deserve D-Tier. Is she "the best" in a team? no. But is she "the best f2p / 4* option in a team"? Yeah, in a few teams i would say. She's great for yoimiya. She's great in mono geo. I used a Noelle / Gorou / Jun Yin / Fischl-Team for 36* Abyss a few times already. Not only does she provide her normal attack buff but also geo particles, resonance, her c6 increases normal attack speed (definitely helpful), favge. I would say she's at least B-Tier.
- I have only built them to 70 yet so i may not be the best judge but i would bump Xinyan, Ningguang and Dori down one each, but since i havn't build them well or tried them a lot, i'll take the L and assume i might just be wrong here

Diona was my beloved shielder/healer before I got Zhongli. When I first got her, I thought she was an awful DPS. But then I realized that she can shield and heal.
I have C6 Dori. When I play her, she feels strong. HOWEVER, she's a Chibi character and if I need her to be the on-field overworld miner, she's the slowest option I have walking-wise. Those short legs are just make her sluggish for exploration.
Xiangling is OP damage wise but she needs a lot of Energy Recharge to use her OP Burst. If you build her with a lot of ER, you're nerfing her attack power. This is probably why Raiden National is so OP for her because Raiden help her rebuild her spent energy.
For Kaveh I understand and moved on but when it came to Layla I couldn't take it anymore
4:11 i might be bias but……….. first the hold takes 2 seconds. You can release it as soon as the inner circle reaches the outer circle shown on the ground. Her constellations fix *MOST* of her problems.
The thing with lisa is that fishl exists and to a certain degree Miko. Although, she can work as a fishl driver.
She can work as a def shredder with either prototype or hakushin. Pretty decent if you dont have Xilonen for Neuvillette for example.
She can hold Thundering fury, Wanderers troupe, Guilded or Emblem.
You sort of have to make her work, but she can work hard. People do underestimate her. She has some pretty nice underrated synergies with Neuvillette and tighnari mainly.
I am part of that 0.1% that uses her in the abyss hahaha

As a Main Layla, I had use her in many teams, as a support and as a dps... And I must say, she is better than everyone thinks, why? Well, if you compare to Diona, which is pretty similar, Layla brings a bigger shield, a shield that you can have up all the time even at c0, she may not heal, but that is good in some cases, furthermore she applys a lot, and I mean a lot of cryo with her element skill and her ultimate, the trick is to generate more stars using more elemental skills on your team, for example she is so good in hiperbloom fridge team, example: with yae miko, because yae can use insta 3 elemental skills, ulti and other 3 elemental skills (wich generates more stars) and all of this as you mention, generates more energy for your team, for her damage, yes, you need c6... But she can provides with her c4 a pretty usefull buff to your charge attacks for your team, and since she scales with Hp, her buff is quite nice, the point here is, no, she is not S, but she is A
Candace's best team is supporting Mualani and she's really really good in that team, definitely stronger than some of the characters in solid like Heizou and Ningguang tbh
You're not boring Kachina. Who else can cart around the world and easily go up the side of cliffs as well as Kachina. Let alone easily smaching crystals along the way. Not everyone needs to be Furina levels of broken in Abyss. Kachina has tons of potential in the overworld and is a lot of fun.
Just started playing mid-January and got 5 of these S-Tier goats just to realize none of them can do the role of a main-dps hypercarry.
I'm a bit upset about Layla's placement (like the others apparently lol) and I felt like you could have said something more about her, like you did with the others, but you did say that it's based on your opinion (rightfully so) and generally speaking I think you really put effort into it and didn't just follow the fandom's stereotypes, you gave us great insights after ACTUALLY playing the characters and you even suggested to use characters that are usually underrated by saying what they're good at, I especially appreciated what you said about Rosaria, her reverse melt team sounds pretty fun and I'm thinking of building her :D
As AR 60 player, I use barbara everytime there is pyro shield, she shreds it instantly and she is budget kokomi
Crazy that they made a couple of the starting characters so powerful. I just started the game a couple days ago on Xbox and I have the first the S Chars and the traveler as a place holder as my main team. Had no idea they were going to be some of the best to grow with me.

This is Gaming slander. Gaming does good even without Bennett and Kazuha (don't have/will never have Furina, idk about Xianyun). Gaming overload does so well, as well as vape and burn. My first 100k+ was Chevi overload on Hydro Tulpa (C6 Gaming + Yae Miko + a mid C6 Chevi + C0 Fischl). I use him as a burst dps with how much ER I have built. He bursts as soon as the 1st burst is done. He's amazing.
not to even mention is absolutely game breaking melt teams with rosaria, diona or sucrose. C6 gaming does not need to have many steps to get to his final form he has a lot easy out of the box teams. He's amazing

Energy is literally never been a problem for me. Just give her a favonius lance and focus on building crit rate, def and ER. Since she only needs these stats to perfom at max when you max her out, she doesn't struggle with energy anymore.
She is not that niche as people think. You can use her with Arlechino, Clorinde, Wriothesley, Noelle, Ayato, Mualani, Kinich, as well.
Fun fact: C6 Yunjin buffs Yoimiya more than C6 Bennett
There is no way she should be in the same tier as Amber.
I don't even use Fav Lance because my Yun Jin has non existent CR. Prototype gives more ER, so that would be better if you just care about the damage buffing. I'd bring Yun Jin up maybe at the bottom of niche tier because unfortunately adding normal attack damage is all she does. However, I wouldn't consider her in same tier as Amber or Kaveh.
3:34 the amount of people who still don't realize you only need to hold Lisa's skill for 1.9 seconds. It activates automatically after 4, but that doesn't mean it does anything extra. A lot of abilities let you hold them for a while but eventually just shoot off, so I dunno why for Lisa specifically people think that means you HAVE to hold until it goes off on its own.
My favorite part about four stars is they don’t have a 10 hour burst animation.

Slight correction on Lisa: while holding her skill for the max duration does take quite a long time (something like the 4-5 seconds you said I think), you only need to wait about 2 seconds to release it: wait until the inner ring around her meets the outer ring.
This makes her hold E a lot more practical to use to help with her energy needs. A 2 second cast time still isn't ideal but it's manageable.

Yun Jin in d is wild, especially with characters like Clorinde, Arlecchino, and Mualani who all have much higher scalings than prior normal attacking dps's. I still probably would put her any higher than Niche tier but no way is she with Kaveh and Amber
I think Sucrose is really good in terms of vv uptime, but the reason people don't use her is because she has to tank hits during her long skill animation. It's a bit like using klee. You need to either kill or stagger an enemy before they kill you. On teams that use xinqiu, who has high poise damage(Zajef take I know), her downsides are mostly covered.
Have you seen speedruns of teams that use sucrose? She doesn't have field time cuz once she starts the animation for her skill, she can dash cancel that and the skill still continues. You can do the booking method to remove character swap cooldowns. So in fact, she has THE fastest VV applicator. It's not even close. Usage rates are just determined by how easy a character is to use on the most content. Or characters that give the least stress with the biggest benefit.
Also her swirling is like wierd. Sometimes she swirls nothing sometimes a random element which u do not want to swirl. Tldr she's a little clunky or else Kazuha and Sucrose literally has no difference except for the swirling and better grouping.

I heavily doubt gaming needs any high investment teams at all. In fact I believe you could just put your yanfei's crimson artifact set on him and he will pop off. I am biased cus I'm a gaming main but with kazuha Bennett and xingqiu he still regularly does 150k. Anyway great video eaky boy keep it going

One of my favorite teams to play to this day is Rosaria main Cryo DPS with Chongyun's Cryo infusion. Add a Xinqiu and barbara for permanent freeze. Rosaria just feels so damn smooth to play, very fluid!
Eakes gaming works really really good with only diona, rosaria and sucrose he doesn't need xianyun or furina at all.
I like the tier list. One suggestion is to make niche separate from Aight. Because Gorou is the definition of Niche. As are the rest of specialized one good team supports.
Layla is better than Diona, nuff said. Literally one of the better Nevuillete teammates. One of the strongest shields, permanent uptime on said shields, she has GREAT cryo application, her entire kit is cryo homing missles.
I started at the end of 4.6 so i dont have many five stars and most of my four stars are C0 so your videos have really helped me learn more about their potential and I've come to really appreciate them 😄
It's really such a shame with Kaveh, we have very few sources of off field dendro application so he could've done that but nah, another on field DPS it is 😵💫 He's one of my favorite designs and characters I wish i could make him viable
There are some folks starting to play around with Shatter Bloom teams with him and having some decent results. I saw a Bilibili video of a CN player absolutely dominating the Magu Kenki trio from the recent event with him in what looked like a Shatter Bloom-ish type team
Technically, now that shater has been buffed, Razor or Kaveh shatterbloom would be their best team and it is very solid. Not meta by any means, but still pretty good

I've tested both of them quite a bit and I don't see how. It's not much worse, but it is worse than their best teams. It also makes team ER requirements very high when they really need extra sub-DPS damage

My problem with her has always been that she doesn't apply *enough* cryo to really be useful for melt or whatever (she is decent in mono cryo, but that's more of a meme than anything). Secondly her shield, while 100% uptime, has too short of a duration. This is kind of a problem for all shielders tho, except Zhongli. 12 seconds is the same as Diona and she heals and has a massive EM buff at c6, sure she has 3 sec of downtime without sac but her kit is just more stacked honestly. I think the placement is pretty fair. Maybe Razor, Chungus and Lynnette need to be below her tho.
Layla applies just enough Cryo for some team comps. Namely the Nahida, Diluc, Layla and Barbara team which allows Diluc to trigger Burning, Melt and Vaporize. It does require C4 Layla but it's a pretty fun team regardless.
@@EinTheEin Issue is that layla herself isn't good enough, you would rather replace layla with someone else like diona due to more buffing and already having a sustain. Adding on c4 layla is very bad, the only character who benefits from it is chasca because all her damage is fired instantly therefore getting all the buffs. For other characters it's like a 2%-5% dmg increase.
Justice for Kaveh! Shatterbloom with Layla, yelan, xingqiu/kaeya. Very fun even if the swapping is very time sensitive and the energy issues are a bit crippling. I’m coping but Kaveh best boi forever
40:30 ...This is beyond stupid. Girl, gaming is good in Rosaria Diona Melt in which C6 Bennett does NOTHING. He can enable Marechoussee for himself so Furina isn't mandatory, yes she's the comfiest but Xingqiu is perfectly serviceable. He doesn't need Xianyun AT ALL! Xianyun is only good of you have C6 Bennett and you want to add normal infused plunge attacks into his combos. Kazuha and Xilonen will be more than enough for him. He's a top tier 4 star and there is no arguing about it. Beidou wishes she was this good.
yep gaming has so many teams now but people arent willing to research him for accurate information because they don't like plunging

I feel like Amber is a slight bit underrated. She is almost never part of an optimal team, but a lot of characters, who are on paper more powerful than her aren't either. She can apply some of the fastest pyro in the game with her burst and she's a bow character for ruin drakes and aeonblight. I think if you have a solid 3 unit core, she can perform more roles, than most other characters.
"Lisa is hard to build" - Lisa as support is ok with TotM +0 with TTDS and ER stretched; Lisa as DD/driver is ok with 2+2 EM, she will erase everything with the overload

Kaveh at d is diabolical honesty😭 ik im prob a bit biased since im a kaveh main but he’s genuinely so good at also f2p friendly. I use him in a team with yaoyao yelan and xinqiu and they let me clear floor 12. D is very low for him and just cause he dont work with nilou dont mean he bad ppl who dont have nilou can use him. Hes not the best ofc but i think A is good for him. D is jusy actually diabolical he is NOT on the same lvl as amber for example.
Ningguang is one of those characters that have gotten better with time. With new artifact sets like Nighttime Whispers and new units coming out like Xilonen, she's been getting a lot of good boosts to her damage. Could it be netter yes but hey, she can be a TURRET if you get down her playstyle. Solid is definitely her best place, considering she had to climb from bottom tier. Hopefully one day ge truly necomes the geo damage queen.
I like her in like a double geo quickstep with Navia. You are always swapping between them and making crystallize and hitting with hard skills and bursts, while having room for 2 more characters. Easily use Bennett and Furina for max boosting. Ninnguang can also use prototype amber if your Bennett doesn't have enough healing
Ororon provides 40 percent team DMG bonus and 30 percent attack while doing fiscl level subdps DMG in aoe scenarios and making overworld travelling easy, he's easy s tier
I was going to complain about Faruzan's placement, but I watched until the end. If you deleted Xiao, Wanderer, and Heizou, Anemo teams would still be stronger than if you deleted just Faruzan. Apart from that, my only complaints are that Yanfei is ranked too high and Bennett is ranked too low.

barbara is goated with my nilou bloom. 1 press of the skill created like up to 4 blooms even more when there are more enemies
Candace is a better hydro unit for that team and if you want healer, you'd rather yaoyao

Finally some sanity, every tier list I look at I see Barbara at the lowest or second lowest for some reason.
Layla in B is actually criminal,she is currently the second best shielder in the game and is a good unit who has a good cryo aplication"oh but all she does is provide shields" yes you mf,that's the point,ever tried playing in mobile and dodging attacks with characters like Hu tao or Wanderer who don't want to get interrupeted or dodge?

I remember that on Week 1 of Genshin, content creators were saying Bennet is a D rank character since you can't heal to max HP, his skill throws you off if you hold it, etc. LMAO how wrong they were. I was F2P and I got very lucky to get him at C1 in my Day 1 together with Xingqui in the Beginner banner and the two of them carried me even until now to 36 stars abyss every single time.
About Faruzan, have you tried using her as a Main DPS?
Like, one team I liked was Faruzan C6 on VV with DPS build, Fischl, Sigewinne and Furina. It's very fun, honestly!
I love DPS Faruzan, just buff your own anemo.
I've run her with Furina, Jean, and Lynette as a near mono anemo
I've run her with Bennett and Furina and whoever else as a hyper carry
I've run her with double cryo as a freeze like team, furina as the hydro to freeze while you blast everyone
You can use her with electro and dendro and aggravate while you pump out heavy anemo damage.
So so so fun to play too
Yo Eakes you forgot somethings about Beidou, at C1 she gets a on field shield and damage reduction, and at C6 she gets a 15% electro res shred to enemies near her.
Beidou and Ningguang, if made today, definetly wouldn't be 4 stars (nor should they). Both girls are so proheminent in the history-line and plot development progression that in my honest opnion, they should be from the standand banner to begin with... Cuz although both are being kept from relevance for their personal numbers one doesn't even have a normal attack string to combo with hers, up to this day, unique catalyst geo attacks while the pirate girl if were to be, let's say, our free T5 banner from inazuma (which makes much more sense btw) this "upgraded" tier would justify her numbers being higher therefore standout performance/playstyle. - This is not favoritism or my personal liking, it's just coheesive narrative and gameplay.
