    I have never seen the torre on Torrenova opened up, it must have amazing views, but I suppose that's the point! It is a great, if quite steep, little walk over the top. I am glad there are many flatter ways to walk between Palma Nova & Magaluf.

    Thank you for braving that climb up to the top of Torronova.
    Had many good breaks in a hotel opposite the spar near.
    Not been for a few years so nice to see how it has changed.

    Cheers for the video, if you have any heat & sunshine to spare, it s always welcome over here (Temps at present 8 C.....). Nice to see Bananas disco is still around. Used to hang out a lot at Pachas Pub - nowadays a Tobacos shop - and before that at Den Glade Viking, which was closed many, many years ago.

    Steve, "A steep hill", truest words spoken, as my lady=friend and I, stayed "up-top" at a hotel, and she finished up in Palma hospital for a couple of weeks with heart attack, and this was a lady who previously lived up a hill in Cala Major, so take heed! Every time I climbed up to the hotel I used to have a 'rest-stop", half way up.

    • @SteveandAnitainMallorca

      It is quite a pull. I was concerned when a lady wrote to make saying that she was staying at the Torrenova hotel with her husband, who was in a wheelchair.

    Good morning Steve and Anita. Thank you for another great video, some parts I was familiar with, but others I’m not. A couple of things Magaluf is not short of are tattoo studios and cash machines. The same as you the only time we visited was during the day, I think it would have been way too noisy at nighttime But everyone to their own. Thanks again.

    Hi Steve, thank you for walking round Torrenova, it’s my ideal place to live, the villa that’s for sale was €8 million euros last time I looked, so keep your fingers crossed 🤞 for me for this weeks euro lottery, if I win the villa will be sold, I’ll invite you and Anita round for a few drinks round the pool 🍹 🍺🍸🍷🍾🥂🥃👍

    The Mar Senses rosa del Mar is a lovely hotel stopped there last year with my uncle and going back again this year. Staff and cleaners are polite and very friendly and helpful. Papis is a great place to go for a quick snack or a proper knife and fork meal. Wonderful staff who work there. Have often eaten at B-max and had great service there it is second to none. Great food well priced. Fantastic staff. There are some great views of the bay around that side of torrenova. You must have got your step count in plus a few more for good measure.

    How long has the Hotel Seramar been there Steve? (7:50) I'm sure there was only a bar/cafe there in the mid-90s when we were there. It was run by a guy called Luis - we'd go there for lunch nearly every day.

    • @SteveandAnitainMallorca
      @SteveandAnitainMallorca  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well spotted Glen. That's a new name to me. It is still called the Comodoro, as far as I know. I think Seramar must be the name of the hotel group.

      @@SteveandAnitainMallorca Ah ok thank you. It's the covered patio and what looks like a pool that seemed new-ish to me, I'm sure I don't recall them 20 years ago, they seem to be where Luis's place used to be. If I remember correctly it was called Bar Azul or similar.

    The Torre de Sa Porrassa and its surroundings are under the auspices of Calvia Council. It is a large area of land with fabulous views and there are two abandoned houses on the site. It is quite controversial because Calvia closed the access about thirty years ago and have done nothing with it since. Other versions mention vandalism and anti social behaviour and I understand there were fatalities with people falling from the sheer cliffs at night.

    Great video,how much would a taxi be from the Elba to the middle of Palma nova roughly as we are booked in the Elba in June but that bank is to steep for me

    • @SteveandAnitainMallorca
      @SteveandAnitainMallorca  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not far so I would guess only 5-6 euros. Goiny to Palmanova is downhill, but it is a bit of slog going, particularly if it is hot.

      @@SteveandAnitainMallorca Google Earth shows what seems to be abandoned residential development all over that headland, not visible from the road. Calvia council put a restriction on the area. Maybe they are in dispute with the owner? Intriguing!
