I never played any SF games more recent than Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior so it's a surprise to look at this and see some characters from Street Fighter 1 returning and even some from Final Fight.
@@SSSuperMugiwara Alpha 3 Max? The f*ck you talking about? That port is literally only for PSP not CPS2, there are Alpha 3 but not max, its the original version. It has less characters becuase of the limitation of CPS2 system, do some research before replying.

I agree. This one has the best stages and music of all SF games. Ironically the original Street Fighter Alpha had the worst. So glad my parents bought me this one as a kid.
I loved STF2, Turbo, Crazy, and this one Alpha 2. Great new style to the franchise and new characters. Also up there are Samurai Showdown, Mortal Kombat (the older the better), Killer Instinct, and Marvel vs Capcom. Never got into Tekken - though it had a lot of fans. Above were the best old-school fighters IMO🎉
My favourite old school fighters are the Streetfighter 2 series, Fatal Fury Special, Mortal Kombat 2, Killer Instinct, Darkstalkers and the King of Fighters games. Like you said, the older the better - I don't like polygonal fighters, sprite based games are much better imo.

It's because of the higher horizontal resolution of the CPS systems, it's 384p wide instead of 320p like the MVS and many others. The height of 224 is the same. But yes, 4:3 looks better and there is an option to change it in every CPS game.
@@peyifte6311but the four seconds loading time is its only issue. Sure, it misses some animation frames and the resolution is lower, but it's still a complete port, it plays well and it's a miracle that they managed it to make it playable on a 16bit home console.

In SFA3, the computer A.I. is ridiculously tough, we're talking Street Fighter II max difficulty levels of difficulty where the computer is reading your inputs so if you jump they'll for example do a flash kick with Charlie without even charging the move. Also in SFA3 the computer will tech grab your regular throws 3 out of 4 times@@grease430
