Just to confirm for others who might be confused by other videos or comments talking about red ring of death or descaling: Nope, when the ring stays red, just do what John shows in the vid. No idea why Nespresso themselves make such a mistery of this, even on their support page.
The pod drain hose plugs with coffee grounds and dried coffee brew. The coffee backs up overflows and obstructs the pod readers. Then flashing orange light indicating reader failure. Dismantle clean drain tubes, clean reader lenses, clean internal spillage. Takes an hour or so. Putting the drive belt on is a challenge. Once cleaned, rinse cycle once or twice per month. Watch for excess coffee draining into discharge bin.

nah im good, ill just buy a different machine less hassle , a huge fail to the mfg.
@@Gio-vf1zfno machines on the market, that don't require maintenance and cleaning and some brains . But keep on trolling...
